Came here for the first time while in the area. This cute bakery has a different themes all the time. The theme when I visited was sponge bob :) I loved it ! I enjoyed grandma's chocolate chip cookies. They were simple but delicious. Also couldn't forget the variety of chocolates. We got a small box with an assortment of chocolates and truffles. Today is April 17, 2026 and the guy working the front at about 3 pm. was fabulous. The place was packed, he had to make special (so very cool) drinks for some kids and he kept things moving along and fun for everyone. I meant to ask him what his "top hat" was but I forgot. This was only my second visit to Pete's, and the first time I got a cupcake set - just wow! I was a bit concerned going after lunch because I have known cupcake places that are wiped out before noon, but Pete's had a full array of interesting flavors: Peanut Butter, Oreo, Caramel Brownie, Red Velvet, Apple Cider Donut, Cinnamon Bun, Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Maple, Pumpkin Patch, Maple Creme Brûlée (see pics of what was available when I went early on Thursday afternoon). I went for a six pack: Oreo, Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon Bun, Peanut Butter, Apple Cider Donut and Vanilla Maple. Our favorites were the Oreo and Apple Cider Donut and Peanut Butter. And Cinnamon Bun. The Pumpkin Spice was pretty awesome too. We weren't as big fans of the Vanilla Maple but are generally are not huge fans of things flavored with maple so likely just personal taste. These cupcakes are a civilized size - not the monstrous sized things you get some places and not teeny minnies. For us they were just right and the box was a well designed carrier. The whole visit was also a great experience, from good COVID compliance (signed, masks etc) to super friendly and helpful staff. Do make sure to double check on the cupcake names which can be similar. When I was there they had both Vanilla Maple and Maple Creme Brûlée which led to some confusion. But really I suspect it's hard to go wrong whatever you pick. read more

Customer service is very friendly. I purchased a birthday cake and was also able to pick it up early. My only concern is that O had to carry the cake out in the open which made me very nervous because I did not want anything to fall on the cake or have it out in the open air, but there weren't any bigger cake boxes available and no cover for the cake so the frosting would not be ruined. I've never heard of this before, but I rushed the cake home to the fridge nervous as heck. Cake came out beautiful! We are very pleased with the details and smoothness. We also purchased a peanut butter brownie and raspberry bar. They were both delicious, decadent, and filling. The brownie is very thick; you get a good size and if you can eat the whole brownie in one sitting, kudos to you! read more

Back in april 2021, I had bought cupcakes for my daughter's covid birthday party. I had ordered 12 cupcakes (6 chocolate and 6 vanilla) with a twist of 2 colors. I wanted it to be unicorn colors themed. They added basic sprinkles and a light dusting of shimmer to the cupcakes. It was kinda pricey in my opinion for 12 cupcakes and simple decoration/flavors but it was delicious and the cake part was moist. I did add in my own sprinkles and unicorn ears and horns from Michaels craft store. You can see the before and after photos of my sad attempt to decorate lol anyways I give this place a 5 star because even though I found this place a but pricey, I think the quality is there. I follow them on instagram and I love seeing their theme weeks too. I have yet to go back and try other treats they have. Im sure if you had the money you could get a detailed cake seeing that they do pay attention to details (theme weeks), but at a high price. I think I would still get my wedding cake there when I get married. *update -- third time strolling through to grab some treats but this time for mothers day, and I honestly don't get a welcoming vibe -- more of a dry "hi-bye" kinda vibe. I mean im used to the longmeadow stuck-up people because i'm now a resident of longmeadow -- but ugh. I recall it was like that before when I purchased my daughters cupcakes but just excused it for maybe they were short help or something (it was covid times). Oh welps. On another note, when I arrived home, my mothers day sugar cookies were all broken (I went straight home). I had asked if they had something to put it in, like a box but they said they would give me a paper bag instead. I know sugar cookies break in paper bags, and that did exactly that. Oh. My. Gosh. Why haven't I been here before this weekend? Holy cow! Let's start off by saying if I could give this place 10 stars I would! I went with my girls for a Christmas event thrown by the bakery. They had Santa and mrs Claus with free cookies and cocoa (free is for me!) and we were immediately blown away by the store. It was decorated perfectly and it was fully stocked with treats. The Santa they had was perfect and Mrs Claus was even better (she had the food...). They handed out literally the BEST chocolate chip cookies I've ever had in my entire life. Like even better than mine. I'm not a fan of other people's CCCs and honestly hold my recipe above the rest, but these topped mine completely. I was floored and immediately hooked. And they had warm ones? What?! Finally stopped in after driving by everyday for some time now. As soon as I walked in I was less than impressed with the amount and variety of items for sale. The display cases were almost empty except for cupcakes of which I purchased two at $2.00 each. I was looking around for more choices and realized this was it. I asked for two slices of their Pumpkin Creme roll at $2.75 each which were also not displayed, but in the back. There was not enough variety or amounts to keep me coming back. I would of bought a lot more if there was more to buy. However, the things I did buy were very good, but were not priced reasonably. Stopped in again and nothing has really changed. Nothing really displayed except for cupcakes. I picked out 6 for $12 And was on my way. Again, the cupcakes are real good, but would love to see other things. The price of the cupcakes is like $2.75 each now, which is insane. Again, they are consistently good in presentation and taste, but c'mon Pete? My son was craving a cupcake, so we decided to look through Yelp. He was really impressed with the photos of the s'more cupcakes, he has a soft spot for marshmallows. So we decided to drive out there. There was decent parking, some street and some on the side of the building. It's a cute little shop, with two small tables to enjoy your treats at. There wasn't much of a selection. We pretty much got one of each cupcake that they happen to have in stock. There were a few other treats: chocolates, cookies, pies... But I wish there was more to chose from. The employees were really nice and helpful. We got a total of 8 cupcakes. We enjoyed one each, because there was no way our little man could wait until we got home. There wasn't anymore s'more available, so he went with the plain Jane, the hubby and I split ours. We both had the peanut butter and the caramel brownie. Talk about delicious! Their frosting is extremely tasty. We plan on coming back, grabbing sweets from here and getting coffee at Shellbourn Falls. I would give them a five if they had more of a selection and maybe drinks? Even a plain coffee or tea. They're just delicious, I don't know what else to tell you. Another reviewer mentioned that while they might not have TONS of variety, everything is fresh and I couldn't agree more. How much variety does one really need? Each time I've been they've had at least 8 - 10, maybe more cupcakes to choose from and it literally takes me a solid 8 minutes to choose 4. If they had any more options, I'd be there all day. Plus, it seems they have all the good, typical stuff on a regular basis like carrot cake and red velvet. I've tried quite a few and my favorite by far is the caramel brownie cupcake. The carrot cupcake is also amazing and in the summer they have a lemon cupcake that is on point. Geez, who am I kidding, I would gladly eat them all. I want to give a perfect rating because they are so, so good but I wish that they were able to store them just a little bit closer to room temp. I know they need to preserve that delicious mound of buttercream but maybe a tad warmer would be awesome. There were the standard chocolates and vanillas, alongside Thin Mint, Samoa, red velvet, peanut butter, triple chocolate, salted caramel brownie, oreo, creme brulee... Mmmm. I had half of a peanut butter and half of an oreo. It may not have helped my diet, but it has definitely helped make this a memorable birthday! Everything I've had from Pete's has been magnificent. I'm tempted to believe the proprietor is actually a baker that specializes in designing creative cakes for birthdays/weddings etc and could be on one of those food network cake baking competitions. Their is a difference from a baker and pastry chef! I HATE CUPCAKES and I don't get why they are so popular BUT the brownie was sinfully good and the cookies were a cut above the average place. Yes things were priced somewhat more than the average place but it stands to reason a small specialty shop can't compete with big bakeries. I assume the lack of variety is due to the lack of traffic. I get it. When things are baked after 2-3 days it's all lost profit. This looks like a place that specializes in making specialty cupcakes and specialty special order cakes because of all the cake images. If I need an impressive 3 story cake for a birthday or function I will keep pete's in mind. It was very good for what we had but I won't go out of my way to go back because I am more a pastry, pie maybe cake but NOT cupcake type of person.
