I'm not one for writing reviews. My first thought was the price per pound was very high. However, I quickly changed my mind with my first experience. The Staff at The Laundry Room is definitely worth it!! From the gentleman who picks up the clothes to the staff that clean them everyone is excellent. If I could give zero stars I would. I have been calling this place for a month to pick up my laundry and the phone is disconnected. I am currently in front of this laundry for the fourth time in month hoping someone would be here. No one is here. This is so frustrating. They have two bags of my laundry! read more

Nasty, rude, stealing idiots. I just came in here with my husband to wash clothes. When I was loading up the machine to dry my clothes I noticed my quarters being returned- I was suddenly notified by this beast with tacky blue eye shadow that the quarters that were returned was hers. I quickly told her, "No I paid for these, the machine just returned it." So she then argued that "Yeah the machine belongs to the store, so if it's returned it belongs to me." I asked her "Are you really going to fight me over a dollar"? She looked at me and said "Yes cause it belongs to me." She also refused to let me use the machine I already placed my clothes in if I didn't let her keep the dollar!!! So I told her to keep it, it isn't going to make them any richer. I would hate to accidentally drop a wallet in that place, cause you know- if it falls out of your pocket in the store it belongs to them. I'm calling Monday morning to discuss with the owner this is stealing! I was going to use this place as they did do a good job with my wash, but I don't even trust them to not steal something of ours now. This issue was never resolved. The owner refused to acknowledge the problem when I texted him my review, and I even told him to look at the camera footage to see us arguing. The service is excellent every time I go. Roberto and all his staff are very helpful and helped me to take care of my clothes. The machines always are good maintained and there are plenty so even on a crowd day is not bad. As always, I'll be very honest with the service provided anywhere. I just moved to Staten Island and it was a bit of an adjustment. When it came time to do laundry, I realized that I needed a laundry service (like in the city) that will do pick up/drop off service. Nobody has time to sit around AT THE LAUNDROMAT and do laundry anymore - there's so much more I could be doing while my laundry is getting done! This place provides accommodating times to pick up my laundry and drop it off at my house and wash and fold my laundry. They really take care of my clothes. I've been asked if there are any special instructions I have with my laundry. And anything that might seem additionally delicate, the staff handles with extra care. I like having my time free to do other things in life! I recommend the Laundry Room to anyone around the area! read more

If you want your clothing to actually be cleaned and delivered to you on time, never go here! A few days ago, I called the cleaners in advance to see if I could drop off a garment for dry cleaning and get it back the next day. They said as long as the garment got in by 4pm, they could guarantee me it would be returned to me, cleaned by the next day at 6pm. I asked a few times if the dress would be ready and cleaned, and was assured by the owner it would. Thinking all was well, I dropped off my item, met the owner and was reassured my garment would be ready in time. I arrived the next day at 6:13pm and was told my garment was not only not ready, it wasn't even at the laundry mat or had been cleaned yet. They called their cleaning service who said it would be ready the following day by 2pm. I arrive at 12pm after getting a call that the dress was finally ready. I pay for my garment and lo and behold, the stain is still on my garment and they never cleaned or treated it. I basically paid for their driver to go pick up my dress with the same problems. So tl; dr, steer clear of this place, especially if you need your garment back and clean within 24 hours. They are very disorganized and don't seem to clean the items in shop. They seem to be looking for a quick buck without actually cleaning your clothing or doing any labor. And the clothing they have "cleaned" will return with the same stains you sent your item in with. read more

This is the worst laundry service that I have ever used!! These reviews have to be fake because the service..or lack of service I have experienced has been horrible. There has been an issue every time I have used their service. The first time, I was missing a few items of clothing. The second and third time, I received several of my items severely stained with what I am assuming was excessive use of fabric softener. I normally would stop using a service but I travel a lot and really need a service like this. I am very easy going And am a person that does not like to complain..but the last incident I experienced, changed everything. They lost half of my clothes and I ended up with someone else's. I kindly called for them to pick up the other persons clothes. I spoke to many people. First, they couldn't even find me in the system- because they had placed me under someone else's name. Then they kept passing the phone saying that someone would call me to resolve. Absolutely horrendous! Don't use them!! After writing this review, I was harassed and threatened and called over 20 times to take this down. DONT GO THERE!! BEWaRE Also, let it be said that this is my first yelp review. For some reason it seems like all the positive new reviews (New owner) are being pushed onto the not recommended page so all people are seeing is the reviews for the old owner. Robert is amazing. We called and he appeared to get the clothes so fast that we were almost unprepared! He texted three hours later saying the clothes were ready to be dropped off. Free pick up and delivery too! He's very nice and professional and it costs the same amount as the fluff and fold I was physically dropping my clothes off too. Everything was neatly folded and smelled amazing. Good service. $0.90/lb. However they add a few pounds to the weight of your clothes. I measured 16.4 lbs but they charged me for 20 lbs. I called and their minimum is 15 lbs. They also told me it was $0.85/lb on the phone but they charged me $0.90/lb. Just be aware they will pad the bill. I wish they were up front about their costs instead of being sneaky about it. read more

I've never used the facility esp with the previous owner. But I have used the delivery offer and Robert is great! Picks up & drops off your laundry in such a timely manner & your laundry is perfectly clean & folded & smells so good! Such a time saver when you're too busy to do these things and don't have a washer/dryer in your home or like my case your complex washer/dryer are always used, broken or just nasty! Lol read more

This place is amazing! I am a senior and asked for the senior discount every day, not just Wednesdays. The owner, Brian immediately changed the policy to every day. I dropped off my father in laws clothes to be washed. He is 86 years old. My wife went to pick them up and the staff handed her a fist full of cash he left in his pockets! About $200.00. So I used the this place for the first time and I got to say I'm very disappointed. Lady on the phone told me .85 cents a pound it turned out to be .90 a pound. They also charge for everything. I got charged $5.00 extra for "baby clothes" my daughter is 2 years old she wears regular toddler clothes. I also got charged $3.25 for just hanging clothes. Will not use them again. I loved doing my laundry there! It was peaceful and clean. I liked that big dryer. The owners are lovely. But now, it's almost impossible to find space in a machine or on a folding table because their staff occupies all the machines. I will miss them, but working with The Laundry Room has become stressful. Delivery isn't reliable either. The price is excellent. But of the 6 (or so) times I dropped off my laundry, twice my delivery was forgotten and my bags weren't returned. read more

The Laundry Room has become a stressful experience. Out of the last 10 times I dropped off my laundry, half the time my delivery was forgotten. Sometimes my clothing ends up with soap stains on them. I always end up finding a stray sock that never belonged to me lol..the final straw, the lady on the phone had given me an incorrect price per pound..$.85 instead of $.90. They also charged for hanging clothes! Just be upfront of your hidden costs! When you call there, to try to resolve an issue like pricing, it's a game of phone tag because no one wants to help you..this is the last time I use them. read more
