These people have taken preschool and perfected it to a science. The teachers are wonderful with the kids, the facility is clean and safe, the activities are amazing and my son actually enjoys going. I like how the teachers take the time to listen and treat each child as an individual. Yes there are rules and structure but they know there is "wiggle room" within that. When my son had problems paying attention they had multiple tools to try to help him. He still has his days (they're 4. I have had a number of relatives and a great many of my assisted living residents there at Somerset Ridge, and frankly, they are always at the very top of my reference list should someone ask. Very rarely does a patient move along to long-term care when they rehab here. In most cases, they return home with ancillary therapies. Both the admin and the direct care staff are top of the line, easy to interact with, and place their patients' welfare first. I cannot say that for very many of the other rehab facilities, but Somerset Ridge is most assuredly at the apex of their field.

Somerset Berkley was a toxic environment where teachers didn't care about students' well-being…read more Instead of offering real support, they led students down dead-end paths with no clear direction, only to fail them, crushing their spirits despite their best efforts. I experienced this firsthand when a teacher kept me after class every day, promising that if I did extra work, I'd pass. I followed every instruction, yet he still failed me with a 64.9, refusing to round it up to a passing 65. The school was filled with cliquey parents and stuck-up students who thought they were better simply because they were from "Somerset"--a town that's actually pretty trashy, masked by an air of pretentiousness. Since I was on "school of choice," I was often mocked by teachers for my hometown. Somerset Berkley left me with a 1.9 GPA and made me feel worthless. Thank God I left when I did. I transferred to a new school, graduated with nearly a 4.0 GPA, and was accepted to a top 25 college. Had I stayed, I probably wouldn't have even gotten into college at all. If you're stuck in a place like that, go somewhere that truly cares about your success. Leaving was the best decision I ever made.

I love the staff, classes, and I met some of my best friends over the course of my education here. I remember walking into my Freshman Year thinking I didn't have any friends, and leaving my Graduation in tears knowing the friends I made along the way were sometimes going out of state.
