Our little girl has attachment issues. Dropping off at daycare is always a challenge, but when we…read morestarted coming to Corinth Montessori, we noticed that she gained more independence and self confidence! Every now and again we will have a difficult morning, but for the most part (with the help of this wonderful staff) she has learned to transition into the day easier. We are so thankful for this place & always rave about it to anyone who asks about daycare.

While I was originally impressed with CMS, I have since been gravely disappointed. My child…read morestarted in the Pre-primary classroom at the age of 18 months. She learned to wait her turn, the value of her peers, manners, and was potty trained. At the age of 3 she transitioned into the primary classroom. While the expectation was high, my child did not transition well. Rather than meet the child where they are and modify the program, they tried to modify my child. As a result she retaliated to the point that she was no longer "allowed" to participate with her peers for meals, or even playground time. It wasn't until we left CMS and I had her evaluated by educators far more experienced and qualified than the staff at CMS that I was reassured that she was just behaving poorly due to being in a stressful environment. My word of caution to other parents out there is that CMS is not a school of inclusion but rather exclusion. Maria Montessori would have never allowed for such a hostile "learning environment" or exclusive parameters from her "guide." I would definitely seek out other alternatives before enrolling at this school simply because of this experience.

Being a first time mother, and super weary of putting my child in daycare, I'm super pleased by our experience. The teachers are wonderful and are constantly keeping you updated on your child's day. They will even send you pictures of your child during their activities which as a full time working mom, I greatly appreciate. These teachers work so hard and are so so kind. Not once have I had to worry about my child not being taken care of. The directors here are wonderful. Angela and Tina are extremely involved, attentive, and professional. Any problem I've had, they always follow up. On top of that, they are both so kindhearted and loving. My kid LOVES them. We are super blessed to be apart of Children's Lighthouse.

I strongly recommend avoiding this daycare, especially if your baby is not considered an "easy"…read morebaby. My 5-month-old had only been attending for barely a week when I witnessed something that was completely unacceptable to me as a parent. There is a livestream camera in the room, and while watching it, I saw my daughter left in a bouncer for over 5 minutes. During that time, she was screaming and crying, and the staff member in the room walked past my daughter twice without acknowledging her or checking on her. I immediately brought the situation to the staff's attention. Then when rolling back the camera, we found out she was actually in the bouncer crying for over 10 minutes. At first, we received the same concern from the office staff that we had as to why our baby was being ignored. I was told that it would be investigated and that I would receive a phone call regarding what happened. Four hours passed, and I never received a call or any follow-up. When we ultimately made the decision to unenroll our daughter, the story suddenly changed. I was told that she had only been left in the bouncer for approximately 3 minutes. That was simply not what I witnessed on the livestream camera, and I found it extremely concerning that the amount of time was being minimized when I had personally watched what happened. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable leaving our daughter in their care, so we made the decision to unenroll her that same day. I understand that caring for infants can be challenging, and I don't expect constant one-on-one attention. However, I do expect my 5-month-old to be noticed, checked on, and comforted when she is visibly screaming and crying. I also expect honesty and transparency when I raise a serious concern about my child's care. What was most upsetting was not only what I witnessed, but the lack of communication afterward and the conflicting explanation when we unenrolled. As parents, we have to trust the people caring for our children, and after this experience, that trust was completely gone. I am sharing this so other parents can make an informed decision about where they leave their babies. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this daycare.
