Every now and again we will have a difficult morning, but for the most part (with the help of this wonderful staff) she has learned to transition into the day easier. We are so thankful for this place & always rave about it to anyone who asks about daycare.

She learned to wait her turn, the value of her peers, manners, and was potty trained. At the age of 3 she transitioned into the primary classroom. While the expectation was high, my child did not transition well. Rather than meet the child where they are and modify the program, they tried to modify my child. As a result she retaliated to the point that she was no longer "allowed" to participate with her peers for meals, or even playground time. It wasn't until we left CMS and I had her evaluated by educators far more experienced and qualified than the staff at CMS that I was reassured that she was just behaving poorly due to being in a stressful environment. My word of caution to other parents out there is that CMS is not a school of inclusion but rather exclusion. Maria Montessori would have never allowed for such a hostile "learning environment" or exclusive parameters from her "guide." I would definitely seek out other alternatives before enrolling at this school simply because of this experience.

Make your own judgement in choosing the facility but definitely don't be afraid to ask questions and speak up when you feel like you need answers. Avoid This Daycare - Unsafe and Unprofessional Our experience with this daycare was terrible, especially after the previous director left. Communication was a constant issue--parents were left in the dark about basic things like what kids ate, how long they napped, or what they were learning. Even simple things, like returning dirty clothes, were mishandled. The lack of structure and consistency was alarming. We didn't know who his teacher was because they were so understaffed and lacked consistency. This chaos took a toll on him. Drop-offs became traumatic--he would cry, chase me out of the classroom, and refuse to let me leave. He even told me some teachers were mean and yelled all the time. His behavior took a wild turn and he was acting out in a way that was not normal for him. The breaking point was when my child came home with a visible mark on his neck, and no one could explain how it happened. My three-year-old said a teacher pulled his shirt, but no staff member claimed to see anything--despite there being three adults in the classroom. The cameras? Useless. They don't retain footage, and this critical detail was never communicated to parents. Safety and engagement were major concerns. Teachers rarely greeted us in the mornings, and they didn't seem engaged with the kids at all. The front desk was often unattended, making it feel like anyone could walk in unnoticed. This daycare does the bare minimum to stay operational. It's unsafe, unstructured, and lacks professionalism. If you care about your child's well-being, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

Even as I've always notified them of bacterial and viral infections (as all parents should do), and furnishing them with copies of his lab test results! They say that they post notice up inside of the building (in the hallway windows/doors of the classrooms) whenever an infection/disease is reported, but I have NEVER seen one anywhere. The education is a joke. My child experienced serious regression in his learning once he began attending there. There is little to no education being taught there for young children. They don't have the time for it! They are always at or exceeding max capacity while always being understaffed. It's all 1 person can do to keep diapers clean, and even that is a struggle because my son always came home with either diaper rash or irritation under his diaper. Also, hats off to grandparent that commented on the behaviors and attitudes of the staff! The front office staff are indecent, two-faced, unscrupulous/unprincipled and FULL of bad attitude. They're all fake and play favorites. If you're not a favorite then you're served with constant disrespect, repeated accounts of infringement on your civil rights as a parent/parental rights, fed full of lies, and disregarded just like a piece of trash. They also act like they have more authority over your own child than you do. I know for a fact that they have pissed off A LOT of parents there. I wish more parents would come forward and bring awareness on what it's really like having a child enrolled there. At least a young child.

My granddaughter has learned how to defend herself going to this daycare. She comes home almost daily, not everyday but at least 3 to 4 days a week with bites all over her. I sign the incident report. They say it's not big deal this is what kids do. I don't make a big deal out of it I understand. I mean it's not really a big deal to them either so.... Well last week one of the teachers was disciplining her. Then sat next to her and turned her back towards her to show her she was mad at my granddaughter. My 32 pound 2 year old granddaughter then kicked her in the back. This teacher now walks around with a limp and is blaming the child. My granddaughter got kicked out of school that day and we had to pick her up. Now mind you the day before I had a very upset teacher explain to me how my granddaughter bit her and ran from her at the playground. She was very upset this was very bad. I hope this teacher 's OK... So the point of the story is it's OK for my granddaughter to come home with bites all over her and that's no big deal but if a teacher/adult experiences the same thing then that's not okay. Now let's talk about the communication. They will not respond to your emails they will not listen to you or your concerns. The other review stating the policy as far as a week free and contact them two weeks in advance is correct. We did this we emailed we communicated in person they told us yes they got the notice. And then they overdrafted my daughters account because they didn't make the adjustment. My daughter asked for a refund for the NSF fee that she received. They agree to this. I feel that's great customer service and didn't have any negative thoughts until the next week. After this all we've had is attitude and lack of communication. If we ask a question the answer "okay have a nice day" with straight up attitude. No they do not listen. Her last day was Friday. Her father picked her up. The last thing they said to us was "GOOD LUCK WITH ALL THAT." My response is

As a certified teacher with a degree in Education and experience working with the ages of infants…read moreto 21 years of age, the educational experience of my children is my utmost priority. My husband and I thoroughly looked into the early education options available in Denton, and we knew we wanted something different that a daycare. The methods of Montessori education are exactly what we believe to have allowed our children to flourish so well in their young ages. These methods are not what one will see in the typical preschool. There is a priority placed on independence and self-sufficiency. Children are allowed to improve in many skills and abilities. It goes above and beyond letters and numbers and sitting in a classroom quietly, but allows a safe environment for children to grow in their daily skills, gain confidence, sustain a natural love of learning, and develop a sincere belonging in community. Countryside Montessori School has always made this possible for our children, and we keep great peace of mind in knowing our children are safely cared for as they explore. Communication is frequent. There is transparency and connectivity for parents. They prioritize each student and the students as a whole. They truly are an extension of our family experience as opposed to something completely separate. It is incredible to see my children suddenly be able to take off their diapers and actually throw them away starting at 1.5 years of age. It is overwhelming to see my son accomplish tasks like cleaning his room, putting away his toys, helping with laundry, because he spills with pride in himself. My 1.5 year old daughter cleans up spills she makes and demonstrates sincere kindness to others. There is also little better than feigning ignorance and allowing my son to proudly show me where his locker is and how to put away his possessions on his own. When I drop off and pick up my son, I am able to witness him put away his possessions, go to a task that suits his interests, but also educates and challenges him. He doesn't need an adult to hold his hand through this process, though many are also readily available should he need help. My son can hold meaningful conversations with adults in ways I have yet to see from most children older than him in my time as a teacher. This school is different from other schools, and I love this about Countryside. This is the purpose of Montessori education. It is the reason my husband and I picked this school. This ownership and pride is the most invaluable thing Countryside Montessori offers to my children. Mrs. Fuess and the faculty here are always positively involved with the kids. I have personally witness a patience and attention with these children that I am amazed at knowing how challenging it can be to work with kids(as a parent I want to study their Jedi ways!). This school may not be what every parents wants. But for those looking for something that can support their children in these ways, they are an incredible resource and school. I know they have great ideas and possibilities for the future of the school as well which I look forward to!
