I can't even begin to tell you how amazing our experience was. My husband and I were out of the country and our eldest got sent home with lice. MIL did drugstore treatment 2.5 hours on her and looked good to send her to school the next day. Guess again. Still had them and youngest presented with some. I called and TLP was able to get them in and seen with us being gone. Girls were both treated and were perfectly fine with Moana to watch on the TV and snacks along the way. This place is worth it! She did not have a huge amount. They found 3 nits when she tried to check in for camp. Camp denied :( I spent 4 hours on my daughter hair with an at home kit. Decided to get a head check at the lice place before the next camp approval check in two weeks later just to be safe. They found nits :(. Ok, I'm guessing no one's reviewed this awesome establishment because they're embarrassed they've had lice. I was horrified and disgusted as well when I realized my babysitting charge infected me with them, but by now I have little shame... I got way too used to the pesky lice I kept treating myself and re-finding a few weeks later. Finally I found the TLS during a Google search I performed minutes before I took a razor to my head in utter frustration, and I am SO GLAD I did!! These women who work here are fast and efficient, and I'm kicking myself for not coming here the first time I noticed lice rather than wasting my time and $$ at the doctor and filling multiple prescriptions and going through the agonizing process of attempting to comb through my whole head myself. UGHHH. (Lice have gotten so strong and immune to even Rx treatment that it's a total waste to even bother). They charge $95/hr plus the cost of an amazing lice comb (that you keep) which is about $25, but they worked so fast on my thick hair and then didn't even charge me for the whole two hours! It ended up costing me only $140 when they could have easily charged me over $200. Being as broke as I am, I really appreciate that!! Best of all, of course, is I have NO more lice! And they do a follow-up check a week later, which is included. Their products are totally safe, too, which is nice. You can buy them to take home, too. So yeah, if you want to save yourself multiple headaches and a ton of time and frustration, come here the first time you notice lice! They checked and treated my daughter and I on Friday. We both have waist length, incredibly thick hair. They did a check and showed us the results. We both were then treated. I have combed through daughter's hair before and it took 5-6 hours. They managed it in just under three. And she had a massive infestation. I had next to nothing. But I still consider getting rid of those 8 nits as money well spent since one louse can lay several hundred eggs. She then taught me how to comb through daughter's hair. She flat out said there might still be some in there. If u hear nothing else I say, read this--u must comb every other day until u come back for the follow up treatment within 2-7 days. **Treatment is not complete unless u do this.** This is not a magic pill where u go once, and lice never show back up. The techs toyya and misha (I think those were their names--it's been a few days ) were friendly and competent and v v helpful/informative. Office staff was also lovely. Place was v clean as well. Yes. It cost a lot. But they seemed mostly concerned w teaching me/informing me so I wouldn't have to come back. I appreciate that immensely. Great service and staff! TLP treated my family and did an excellent, thorough, caring job. From the initial phone call to the services and follow up, the staff was friendly and comforting. We especially liked Krammisha and Vickie but really everyone is fantastic. Private rooms, movies for kids and even adults. I thought it was expensive per the hour ($99) but have heard they are the cheapest because some charge over $125 an hour. It was worth it regardless. I left educated and armed with tools and info to beat lice if it every shows up again, and I left far more at peace than when I came in. Huge thanks to The Lice Place! read more

The staff was super friendly, and made sure my daughter was comfortable with everything they are doing. To find these pesky bugs in my daughter's hair is horrifying, but they handled it so quickly and efficiently, I'm a happy mom now! No nits, no lice... They even went through two-three times to make sure there weren't any left! They even helped me in educating on what to do when it comes to brushing. These ladies are truly my light at the end of a very, very dark tunnel. We treated my daughter twice with OTC products and still the buggies remained. Unbeknownst to me, I had gotten it from her as well. We came to The Lice Place and the ladies there are so nice and they are sooooo knowledgeable about lice. They don't use anything to kill the lice, they simply manually remove them all!! I am a nurse and I can always tell when someone is very proficient at their job, even when it's not the type of "medicine" I practice. So let me tell you, these ladies are all PROS!!!!! I will NEVER attempt to treat my little one at home again. I will come straight to The Lice Place and avoid all that stress I went through for three weeks trying to treat this on our own. Outstanding customer service. My grand daughters had lice and I was frustrated with store bought lice removals not working. I had also tried several home remedies. They got rid of the lice . Think twice... Below email to the owner of this business received a "ranting" email as a response and a threat to sick her attorney on me. .... Mrs. Warner, My wife forwarded your email below. I am sorry for the delay in responding. In short, the issue I had with the service and your deceptive practices really gets down to WHEN your technician informed me that I would need to purchase a comb. Essentially after completing every part of the check except the top 1/4 of the left side of her head, and after repeatedly telling me she did not find anything and believed their was no lice in my daughters hair, I was informed that I would need to buy a new comb and she could not use the comb I brought. Keep in mind your employee had already used the comb the entire time. In Fact, it was the same comb that was used for this same daughter the previous time I brought her in. It had not been used on my other daughter who was out that week at a camp. Thus, I saw a clear fraud going on and new it immediately. As I see it after your employee determined your company was not about to make any money on my family a scheme was clearly developed to find a way to charge me. After having this happen we went to one of your competitors. This caused me to miss an additional 4 hours of work. Your competitor determined that my daughter was lice free. Yet, being a cautious person and not wanting her mother to complain I spent $55 at the other place for preventative treatment and extras: spray, treated hair ties. They gushed with kindness and thanked me. Even gave me their cell number in case we had questions. So in summary, your locations are probably defrauding others like me. You have lost business from my family. I have been in a social setting at least twice where someone tried to recommend your location to one of my daughter's Friend's mothers and I quickly interjected to tell my story and give a proper recommendation for your competition. As of to date, I have not made the necessary complaint [with] the BBA or the State's attorney general. PS, since both your employees were in on the scheme I do believe it is a fraud that they are [taught] and not just a mistake by one employee. read more

This place is awesome and the ladies that work there are terrific. We found lice eggs (nits) in my daughter's hair and I was completely overwhelmed with the daunting task of having to remove them. The service The Lice Place provides is priceless! After treating my daughter with NIX, I was attempting to remove everything (that should've been killed by the process) with that completely useless comb that comes in the box. Yeah, I kept finding live bugs that I had to use my nails to remove since the comb slid right past them! I treated her again, with the same results. I just couldn't handle the pressure of looking at each strand of hair and removing things that were still alive, knowing if I missed even one that we would have the same problem in a week or so. I decided that in order to avoid a mental breakdown I needed help. I almost went to a similar business in Dallas, however, they insisted it would take AT LEAST 3 hours and would need me to return the following day since they only had a 2 hour slot to work on her. It just felt like they were trying to rip me off, so I went to The Lice Place and they finished within 1 HOUR! They were detailed, thorough, efficient, and just made me feel like they cared about resolving the problem, NOT on how much money they could squeeze out of me in the process. So my daughter got to relax and watch a movie, the whole family got checked (giving me some peace of mind), and they provided us plenty of info and taught us how to use their comb to catch future occurrences from the start. Before I went I chopped off my daughter's hair because I figured they would try and charge me more if her hair was long. Well they found ways to over charge anyway. My appointment was at 5:30 and I arrived right at 5:30, signed in and sat down. After about 5 minutes someone called us back. While in the room she briefed me on the costs and the 6 forms I had to fill out. I asked questions, yet the time she started for treatment was 5:35PM. I clocked her starting at 5:45PM. She took her sweet time doing the treatment and that was fine. It all took place during 45 minutes. That was still acceptable. Then she started to blow dry her hair sparingly, and not close to the scalp so it didn't seem as though this was part of the treatment, but it was. Her hair wasn't wet. Then she inspected her work to make sure she had done a good job to get it out...another 30 minutes wasted and billed under treatment time. She looked at the same spot on her head for 5 minutes straight, and so it went. then she took a 15 minute break to which she stopped the billing clock for 5 minutes. AND to top it all off she gives my daughter a lint brush to take off extra hair from her shirt, and yes you guessed! all being billed as treatment time. Total billed time: 5:35PM to 7:01. Actual treatment time 45 minutes. This place is a sham. I brought it up during checkout and the person just dismissed my concerns about how the time was calculated. Great place to get rid of lice with confidence. I tried treating and retreating my daughters hair with OTC products and mayo but they kept coming back!! Mesha treated my daughter who has long, thick hair and it took a little over an hour. Mesha was efficient and very friendly. She was a pleasure to talk to especially during a not so wanted event. The follow up went well- lice free. I highly recommend going here. It definitely would have saved me money in the long run. read more

Just took my two girls to The Lice Place and as mortifying as it is to have lice I thought this was best case scenario for treatment. The staff was highly professional and very knowledgeable on subject that is hard to absorb. My girls watched movie entire time and the younger even said she enjoyed having treatment done as the combing felt good. It started out with me and my daughter noticing that her sink had several lice in it, after she had just brushed her hair over the sink while getting ready for school. We kept both our daughters home from school so we could get them both treated. We took them to The Lice Place, and THEY COULD NOT FIND LICE. The lice on my daughter's head was not fully grown-they were medium-sized, light in color. I guess I can see how it would not be as obvious as a full-blown infestation with adult-sized, dark lice, but we asked them to go ahead and treat the girls' hair anyway, since we had personally SEEN the lice, even took a picture of one in the sink with our cell phone and showed it to them. They REFUSED TO TREAT THEIR HAIR. About $50 later, my girls walked out of this place, with one of them still scratching her head because of lice. I am on my own in this battle now, and it cost me $50 on top of that. I don't recommend this place unless your child's head is a crawling nest of full-grown lice. I am so disappointed....getting rid of lice is frustrating enough, and then to have this establishment turn us away.... read more
