Fast, reliable and professional. While trying to remove lens for cleaning, I unknowingly removed screws that secure frame to ceiling. I also dropped and broke the diffuser lens. I had to call in the professionals! Vivian took my call, scheduled appointment to assess and give estimate. During the most recent winds, we had one of our domes fly off and it shattered on the ground. My neighbor helped seal the opening with a "trash bag doo-rag, using duct tape." I placed an inquiry with Sola-Lite and they had me set for an appointment on Monday the 27th. Since we are going to get rain, we were a little concerned. This morning, Vivian called to inform that a technician had been alleviated and that he could swing by in 15 minutes. I was elated and I agreed to meet with Manny to see if they could assist. When he arrived and assessed, he disclosed that our products differed from what they offered. Nevertheless, Manny stated that he could attempt to install their dome & frame at the roofline so we would not be exposed. He did just that and he even reinstalled the inside mount after we took it down for cleaning. In just that one night, we had some debris and sand in there. Now, we are as happy as a lark. Last week, I had a solar-tube installed by Sola-Lite. During the process Vivian Buentiempo-Johnson worked with me to get HOA approval, permitting, and scheduling; and, Sergio Vega was responsible for an estimate and installation. I was (and still am!) so impressed with how helpful, patient, customer-oriented, honest, and generally wonderful to work with Vivian and Sergio were. I initially planned to have a solar tube, a whole house fan, and an attic fan installed. Due to the downturn in the economy, I decided to wait for the whole-house fan. Despite the possibility of prices going up, Vivian was gracious enough to send me another quote that would be good for the rest of the year. Her doing so made it more likely that I will be able to purchase a whole-house fan in a few months. Sergio, was also amazing. After looking at my attic, he gave me his honest opinion that an attic fan would be useless. My disappointment was greatly tempered by my relief that, thanks to Sergio, I would not waste money on a useless device. Despite difficulties created by the structure of my home, Sergio did a wonderful job installing the solar tube and cleaned up so well after I did not have to vacuum. Although possible, I doubt that Vivian and Sergio are the exceptions at Sola-Lite. I strongly suspect that Sola-Lite hires exceptional people and treats every customer with the respect, kindness, honesty, and professionalism I received. Based on my experience with Vivian and Sergio, I strongly recommend Sola-Lite. By the way, I love my solar-tube as I no longer need to turn the lights on in my office during the day! read more

I had a great experience with Sola-Lite! I had a crack in my skylight and had no idea who to call. Someone even told me to call a roofing company. I saw the ad for Sola-Lite and called. They were very helpful and told me they could help. I made an appointment for the next day. Matthew cam out. He was on time and quickly looked at the broken skylight. Matthew said he had replacements in stock and could fix it the next day. Sergio came out and replaced the skylight. I thought I was going to have a problem getting it fixed. I've had a attic fan placed in our home where it's hottest which is garage and the kids rooms. First visit with Sergio was quite Informative but after the consultation we were happy with our choice to have the Attic fan installed and it had made a big difference in the temperature and the A/C doesn't turn on unless I lower them temp because of my hot flashes which the system cannot fix ,but I can say I've been comfortable going into the garage because it isn't as hot as it used to be and we do not need to open the garage door which invites the critters. The wife wanted a sky light in the guess bathroom that's in the middle of the house. Every time we or someone uses it, the light most be turned on. After many calls and a few estimates. I called Sola-Lite and found them to be a better price that I have gotten. They came one at and was finished in about an hour. We ae very happy to finally got that one off of my homey do list. Now with the light coming in during the day, we done need to turn on the lights at all and it's saving us money on the elec bill. I would highly recommend them to anybody that needs an extra light. Had 2 tubes installed yesterday. James came with appropriate materials. He was professional, knowledgeable and left a clean work area. He took the time to explain each step as he was working on it. I had an one older tube that was a completely different lite color from the new one installed. He suggested how he could update the old one at almost half the cost of installing a new one. We have 3 light tubes in our house that were put in several years ago by a different company offering a "life-time" warranty against roof leaks. With this most recent storm we noticed leaking in one of our lights. The same company who did the initial install came out and looked stating that the dome was cracked and it would be $1600 for the repair (which is even more than the original install of all 3). He didn't offer any explanation as to why the cost would be so high. I contacted Sola-Lite after doing a Google search for our area. They came out, did the check on the light and confirmed that the dome was indeed cracked. The tech caulked the dome and told me the only way to prevent it from leaking for sure was to actually replace the tube (the design had been changed from the original one to make it all one piece) but that the caulking would work for now until we could afford to fix it completely. The tech made sure I understood all that way involved and what would need to be truly repaired in the long run but was up front and honest about it all. The most impressive part of the entire thing was that he approached the whole thing with integrity and didn't even charge for the service call. When the time comes, we will be contacting them to make the final fix. :) read more
