    Matcha Cookies

Support AAPI female-owned local businesses!! The Little Baker is most known for their 4 inch custom bento cakes but they recently started to do Thai Tea and Matcha cookies! The best way to stay updated is to follow their Instagram (@thelittlebaker_sj) to find out when the form opens up and what dates are available for pick up. They sell out pretty fast and the form usually closes within 5 minutes, so plan what you want ahead so you can order it quickly! The form is basically what you would like to order, your information, and the date/time you will pick up the order. Keep in mind that the pick-up time frame is typically a weekday and 3-5 PM. When I ordered, there were a few tech issues with the form but I just let them know via Instagram that the form was funky. Despite the tech issues from the previous week's form, I was still able to get a confirmation via text and fulfill my order! What I ordered: * Custom Vanilla Bento Cake ($34): Since it's the 4-inch bento, it seems really small at first but IMO it's the perfect size for a celebration with a few friends. The cake was pretty sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. A few bites for me is good enough to be content! You can share this with 3-4 people. *12 Cookies ($28): VERY sweet and soft cookies! You can definitely taste the Thai Tea and Matcha in the cookies. I liked the Thai Tea more than the Matcha though. These are the type of cookies you would need hot tea or something to wash down. 1/4 of the cookie is good enough for me to eat. I think they were freshly made when I received them because they were super soft! I got excited and grabbed one to take a pic but it was too soft to the point where it fell apart when I picked the cookie up. By the time I drove back, they hardened a bit and were easier to grab.

Truly an unforgettable experience ordering a cake from here! The cake had to be transported from San Jose to Castro Valley and upon arrival everything was perfectly intact! The packaging was very intentional as it came with utensils and a candle for the birthday occasion. The cake itself was too cute! It truly did cinamaroll justice haha the attention to detail was definitely the visual highlight of the cake. The cake was super delicious, many family members who ate the cake said it was moist, airy and not overwhelming sweet. My niece who I ordered this cake for loved it so much that she made it her profile picture for all her social media platforms!!!! From ordering, to discussing with the baker, to finally receiving the cake was a seamless and enjoyable experience. I would trust them to bake my future cakes on any other occasion!!!

So happy to have a bento cake creator in the South Bay! If you're looking to treat yourself or your loved ones with all things cutesy, this AAPI female-owned business is a strong contender. Her treats are just as tasty as they are cute. I recently attended her Valentine's Day Pop Up event at Westgate Mall, and despite arriving 25 minutes before opening, I must've had 100 people in front of me in line! Do keep this in mind if you'd like to attend future pop-ups. You can show up bright and early, brave the line, or just pre-order on Instagram when she's not preparing for a pop-up. I got a White Bear themed ube cake with cream cheese frosting. It was so cute that I almost didn't have it in me to cut a slice. But all good things in life must be eaten. (Take that advice with a grain of salt.) The cake itself was fluffy with the perfect amount of moisture. Same goes for the frosting, which had a great balance of sweet and tart. Ube tends to be pretty subtle as a flavor, resembling an earthy vanilla, so it came through a bit better in bites with less frosting. Really enjoyed it and its vibrant purple color! I'd say the whole cake is good for 2-4 people. It equates to two hefty slices or 4 modest ones. With a $38 price tag, that's an expensive few bites, but we all know we're paying for the artistry/novelty. The smile on everyone's faces will make it worth it. Since this pop-up is her last one at Westgate Mall, I'm looking forward to where she sets up her kitchen next. I need to get my hands on some of those Froggy Matcha cookies...

website detailing How To Order and first-come-first-serve clause

Ordered within the first 2 to 3 minutes the link was opened. Also had to swerve through some tech issues since the link did not pop up on Instagram at the time it was supposed to (had to manually type out the link based on a screenshot on LittleBakerSJ's story). The link is also only available on Instagram in the bio section, so the website won't have it. Filled out the form and submitted. Although orders are processed on a first-come-first-serve basis per the website, I guess my order wasn't considered at all and I'm a bit miffed since the cake I wanted was for an anniversary celebration coming up. Haven't had a chance to try the cakes yet, but customer experience so far has been pretty frustrating, so as cute as the cakes are I'll have to look elsewhere.

Super cute and tasty little cakes and cookies! Bought a custom cookies and cream Axolotl cake and Thai tea and matcha cookies! All three were great! Will definitely be ordering more cakes from the little baker :)

Natasha and Anya, thank you so much for organizing everything so beautifully!…read more We are the owners of Right at Home Santa Clara , and we needed catering for our grand opening. Natasha and Anya were so professional and turned everything into a real celebration. I didn't have to worry about anything. And the cupcakes Natasha made as thank-you gifts for our guests were absolutely beautiful. Everything looked amazing and felt very thoughtful. Thank you both so much! We truly appreciate your hard work and care.

Natasha advertised on her site the left side cookie picture with beautiful artwork and craftmanship (that she said she made). I asked her to mimic this exact cookie for my wedding, and just change the name. I paid the high price because I loved the cookie she showed off on her website so much. On the right side is what I received! The Temu version of the cookie. It's embarrassing and I am so upset I don't even want to use them. I drove 3 hours to get these cookies the day before my wedding, and got completely ripped off. It looks terrible, like a child made them. It's not like this was a rush order, I placed it so far in advance, so there is no excuse for the poor artwork. I'm now out $700 now with nothing to provide as a wedding favor, and no time to get something else. I also tried to message her, the phone number does not have messaging access. Don't make the same mistake I did. Part 2: Responding to the owners response. The reference image came from YOUR OWN website, advertised as what you can make from YOUR OWN PORTFOLIO (i even attached another screenshot) with proof. So to promise me you can mimic exactly a cookie in your portfolio, and then give me hand-painted gold, purple, pink colors (not the rose gold we discussed and that you advertised you can make on your website in the reference photo), is garbage and so upsetting. It wasn't like I chose a random pinterest image, this is your own portfolio of work you advertise and agreed to remake. This is why I feel so scammed.

I can't comment on the service because I didn't buy the cake. It went well with our group of people that we got it for my nephew and niece's birthday. I didn't get a picture of the birthday cake. Once again, they absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I placed the order, the staff truly stepped it up and were nothing but professional, kind, and attentive. The cake itself was beyond anything I imagined-beautiful, moist, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. Every single detail lived up to how amazing this bakery is known to be. I ordered the red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, and it was perfection. So rich, so tasteful, and not overly sweet-just perfectly balanced. Everyone at the baby shower could not stop complimenting the cake and asking where it was from. Sweet Passion's Bakery never disappoints. They consistently deliver excellence, and you can truly taste the love and care put into their cakes. I will absolutely continue using them for all my special occasions and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an incredible cake.

I called two weeks in advance to place my order, and the entire process was incredibly smooth. The workers are all very kind, though they don't speak much English, so it might be a little challenging to order if you don't know the language. To confirm and secure the phone order, they do require payment via Zelle or Venmo. The presentation and flavor of the cake were both outstanding! The amount of time and detail put into making it look exactly like a durian was spectacular. More importantly, the taste was phenomenal as they use real durian pieces, and the cake itself is an incredibly soft, light, and airy sponge. If you are looking for an authentic, high-quality durian cake, I cannot recommend this place enough!

I had ordered a milestone birthday cake two weeks in advance. But on the day of pick up, my cake wasnt ready because they had misplaced my order/receipt. I had my copy. They said they'd make it right away but I'd have to come back 2 hours later, which was very inconvient for me in so many aspects.. Possibly due to the rushed order, but the frosting, piping, and lettering looked sloppy. It waant even a complex design! I had my own toppers which saved the cake appearance. The cake tasted good nonetheless but all the cake layers were so delicate that they fell apart quickly as I was trying to cut slices for our guests. Was it because the cake didn't have time to chill and firm up. Although it wasnt a total disaster, I am so disappointed.
