This business demonstrated absolute garbage customer service and disregard for people's time. Context: Upon visiting the shop a few weeks prior, we saw an option for a custom order durian cake. The lady in charge of cake operations if you will, told us we needed to order at least 2-3 days in advance. We wanted to place an order for my mother-in-law's birthday. So we ordered on a Sunday (basically 1 wk in advance) and confirmed pick up the following Saturday. We had verbal confirmation over the phone and provide provided name and number for a 930am pickup. When I arrived this morning, l had to first wait 20 minutes for them to service a customer ordering a cake, which they could've just checked on my order for pick up within seconds. After having to repeat my name and number several times, I was told that there was a miscommunication with the staff; and they had sold our custom ordered cake already. What in the fuck?! No other explanations, no apologies, no offer to remediate whatsoever. I was then told they can make a cake if I can wait 30 to 45 minutes. Why the hell do you ask customers to pre-order several days in advance when you can just make this "custom" cake within an hour??? Never supporting this place ever again. read more

EuroDelight has been a go to for all my holiday and birthday celebrations when it comes to cakes. However, I was greatly disappointed by their service recently. I had ordered a milestone birthday cake two weeks in advance. But on the day of pick up, my cake wasnt ready because they had misplaced my order/receipt. I had my copy. They said they'd make it right away but I'd have to come back 2 hours later, which was very inconvient for me in so many aspects.. If I wanted a cake today, I'd do that without needing you to waste my time explaining that the cakes are shelf stable for up to a week. And even then, who wants to buy a cake to sit in the fridge for a week! I would not want to spend $60 for a cake that's been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long and eat it a week later. That just doesn't sound like a good idea at all. The lady also wanted us to buy a cake on the shelf today AND bring it home and leave it in the fridge until the day of the party too... What the heck. Euro Delights Bakery and head baker, Quynh, are absolutely AMAZING on all levels!!! I come here religiously, year after year, for all of my family's cakes. Not only are the cakes absolutely stunning, they are not overly sweet like the average American cakes. Filling range from traditional Asian flavors such as ube, guava, pandan, and durian. There are also a number of concoctions for chocolate lovers such as mocha, banana chocolate crunch, grand marnier, & raspberry chocolate. I've had my share of experiences with other bakeries who provide you with specialty custom cakes but they unfortunately work with a lot of fondant, making for expensive cakes. Not only is it pricey but the cake is also wasted due to my dislike for the fondant layering. For those of you who share my disgust, Euro Delights Bakery is your answer!! Custom designs of all sorts are made with pure precision, absolute skill, and a deliciously airy whipped frosting. You will not be disappointed in design or taste!! Unfriendly and unwelcoming. I used to come by here for their baked goods and today wanted to buy a birthday cake. I was excited to let my husband enjoy what I remembered eating as a child, but before we could even place an order, one of the older ladies who worked there came out and yelled at us for bringing in our stroller. We had our newborn with us at the time and while I understand that we may have been in blocking the walkway, it's not a reason to treat us poorly. A kind request for us to move would have sufficed. What they are selling are not fresh. I bought a roll cake before and it tasted sour, it cost me $18. Just yesterday I bought two cups of yogurt cost $6 total. I came home and noticed the lids on both cups were about to explode and the yogurt texture looked really strange. I tasted a little and it tasted as if it was made with vinegar! How could they sell food that already gone bad? And they even commit with price gouging too. We can't even keep up with how fast their prices keep increasing. Was craving some yummy coconut cake, so we decided to swing by Euro Delights on 4th of July. Big mistake. I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. We walk in and it's super confusing where to order/pay. So I first check the cake case and (bummer) no coconut cake. Decided to settle for a slice of mango since we were already here. There is one woman making waffles, another woman at the center area taking care of a cake order and an elderly woman by the register. I get in line for the register. She takes the order from the guy in front of me in Vietnamese. But instead of helping me (I'm next in line) she walks away to help a Vietnamese customer in the center. I'm super confused and must have shown the frustration because the guy in front of me asked if I was ok. Told him I thought I was next in line and he said "yeah, the check out process is very messy here." Then he proceeded to tell the lady behind the counter to help me in Vietnamese. She immediately addressed me and got me the slice of mango cake. Upon check out I handed her a credit card and she said they took cash only. That's odd, because I saw another women checking out with a cc and there was another woman in line holding her card. Not sure what that was about. Based on that, I will not be returning, which is sad because I really like their cakes. **NON-CAKE REVIEW (unfortunately...)** To be honest, there's a part of me that wasn't really sure I should post this yet. Across the handful of visits I've made here, I've managed to try a number of things. However, after scrolling through the other reviews on here, it didn't take long for me to realize that what I've gotten here is completely different from what so many others have (and probably the best things to get). Which, in hindsight, shouldn't have come as that big of a surprise given their name...whoops. As you could probably gather from their name (better than I can, at least), Euro Delights Bakery's specialties are their European-style confections. More specifically, perhaps, are their beautifully decorated cakes that come in both traditional and more Asian influenced flavors, like grand marnier chocolate, strawberry lychee, mango coconut, and durian. What's more, they come both pre-made and customized for nearly any occasion, whether it be for a wedding, birthday, graduation, or just because. They also have a pandan coconut waffle and taro bread that are almost just as popular, but most of what I've tried are among the many varieties of Vietnamese snacks, prepared items, sweet treats, and refrigerated steamed baos they have to offer. Typically, the main thing I get when I come here is their COM SAY CHA BONG (Burnt Rice with Fish Sauce, Chili Flakes, and Pork Floss), as well as their chicken version. The rice is fine (not too burnt/crunchy), but the fish sauce mixture they use on both has the perfect balance of salty, sweet, and spicy and is generously applied. Sadly, everything else I've had hasn't been quite as impressive. The PANDAN COCONUT WAFFLE my friend got had a nice coconut flavor to it, but I couldn't taste much of the pandan and the waffle itself was a little soggy (though, it may have just been the part I tried). Also, the PORK BUN had a decently flavorful and meaty filling, but the bun itself felt a little dried out to me. Despite my relatively pedestrian experiences, even I'm a little hesitant to hold it against Euro Delights too heavily since I clearly didn't try the things that they're truly known for. For that reason, and the fact that there are plenty of other items that I'd be inclined, I'm more than a little inclined to come back and possibly (probably?) update this. At the very least, if I needed a cake for an occasion even remotely close to this place, I would absolutely try to get it from here so that I can what I'm missing out on! read more

I normally never write reviews, but this experience was too much and I had to. I ordered a strawberry cake for my son's 10th birthday and they gave me coffee flavor instead. The kids couldn't eat it, and it ruined the celebration. When we placed the order, my husband FaceTimed me from the store and we picked out the exact design of a cake they had on display. I strongly feel they just handed us that existing cake instead of making the one we ordered. When I went back to the store, the older lady who seemed to be the boss was rude, dismissive, and never apologized. She didn't even look me in the eye. Instead, she coldly asked, "Why didn't you bring the cake back?" and brushed me off with excuses like, "One person takes the order, one person makes the cake, one person hands it to you... how do you expect us to know?" That is their broken process -- not my problem. This isn't the first time I've had bad service here. The woman who usually takes orders is always unfriendly, but I let it slide. After this, I'm done. Unfortunately I did find some egg shells within the loaf of pandan sweet bread so -1 star for lack of attentiveness. I would still recommend the bread as it's quite delicious! They also sell whole cakes and cake slices. I got 2 pandan cake slices. The cake itself is moist and the pandan is creamy and aromatic. I definitely want to try the durian and pandan combo cake next! I still can't get over how funny this "beer cake" I got for my uncle is. I've had their cakes a couple times before and knew they usually have ready made ones, so I went over there expecting to get a typical flower cake. When I looked at their cakes on display, I saw this and literally LOL'd.. it couldn't be any more perfect for my uncle, who loves beer! I expected it to be in pandan or matcha flavor since it was green, but it was mocha. The lady said that was the only beer design cake they had left so I got it anyway. I know the design is just cardboard, cotton balls and icing.. but that's what made it funny and even more likable. They don't offer any samples or do cake tasting, but my fiancé and I knew we wanted to get a cake from here for our engagement so we bought a few slices to try. The strawberry lychee is our favorite, so we picked this for our engagement cake. We also tried coconut passion fruit (also good, but has a tartness to it) and matcha salted egg. If you like salted egg and matcha, definitely try this! The matcha flavor isn't very strong, and you can definitely taste the salted egg in the cream. I always text the owner Quynh during business hours to place cake orders in advance. She has always been quick to respond, and designs the most beautiful cakes per my request. My mom really likes the moon cakes they have here. I'm not sure if they're specific to this place, but they're the soft ones rather than the usual firm cake ones. We also got my mom's birthday cake here. I usually like how Asian cake cream is not too sweet, but this one was kind of bitter. My family did not enjoy the cake much, maybe it's a preference thing. A small cake was about $35-40. They also have green waffles here. Great in cold weather. The people will really promote for you to buy other things as well, so if you don't want to, stay firm.
