Came in here with my girlfriend to buy two small balls of green and yellow yarn. One of the two workers kept glaring at us the entire time. The other was very short and dismissive when asking questions. The only yarn store I've ever been to where the vibes were weird and staff was rude. Good selection of yarn but wouldn't recommend tbh.

So many options! From thick to thin!

I signed up for a crochet class here, nearly a year ago and I was just only able to attend, today! Kat is very nice and owns a really neat space. She helped me and two others, today. She helped refresh my memory on slip stitches, single and double crochet. Kat also introduced me to the half-double crochet! I had the entire 2 hours to practice. I felt very encouraged by Kat! I took the Gold line to the Red line, got off on Vermont/Sunset, and just walked right up to her shoppe. So, it's very accessible! I was welcomed into this space from the beginning and I was told about the Friday knit nights. I was basically told not to be a stranger. Loved my experience here!

Such a cute store with lots of quality and unique yarn. The owner was very helpful and talented. I picked out lots of beautiful yarn to make tams (dreadlock hats) and scarves for Lenny Kravitz. He loved them!

Super easy blanket, free pattern provided by The Little Knittery when I got this lovely yarn.

Ask the Community - The Little Knittery

Is there any staff members that would be willing to do custom pieces?

Email me at the shop, or call and I will give you a referral 323-663-3838.

Anyone know if the shop is now open?

I check online periodically to see if there's new info on the old website, but I haven't seen any updates so far. I'm hoping that Kat will email her customers when the day arrives.

Any word on when the new Los Feliz location will be open? I'm so eager! Thanks.

I don't have a definite date but I'm hopeful for November. Thanks for asking!

Having taken another purchase to a frame shop in Mid-City that was recommended by the shop. I ended up paying an arm and a leg, for that job, so for my next poster, I decided to give Baller Art Ware a shot given it's right down the street from our house. I took it in, and the very friendly person at the front helped me pick a frame material, walked me through the process, and explained that they are very backed up, and it would take about 8 weeks to complete the job. They quoted me a very reasonable price, and I was in no hurry so I had them proceed. The framer called me a couple days later, concerned with some of the details of the job. He probably could've been a little friendlier on the phone, I've seen some reviews to that effect, but at the end of the day i appreciated that he just really wanted to do a good job, and do right by the vintage poster. We agreed on a path forward and that was it. At the end of the day, they set expectations for how long it would take, and they met their estimate, did a beautiful job with the frame, and charged a very fair price for the job. I couldn't ask for more and will be back next time!

The supply shop also carries premium handmade watercolor brands such as Stoneground and watercolor supplies occupy about 25% of the store, but they did run out of some specific colors for certain watercolor brands like Stoneground. [Conclusion]: This flagship store has a smaller space and is less convenient to park than the Pasadena location and the Pasadena location also has a shop cat. There is street parking if you get lucky. Just circle around a bit if you have trouble. You do not need reservations too since walk-ins are welcome. My boyfriend and I decided to decorate top loaders for our Pokemon cards and honestly, when I compare this place to other deco places, I will say other ones are better. The reason being they offer unlimited colors and charms you can put on your art pieces. Here, they limit you to either one or two creams (the colors of "icing") and charms too depending on what you purchase. Every extra charm purchase is $0.50. With that, this deco place was so fun but I would prefer them not making their stuff limited in quantity to creams and charms. Staff was nice too and the prices were okay.
