I had my favorite piece of art framed. From start to finish, the process at Michael's of Glendale could not have been better. When placing my order, Maritza showed me the options, and provided me the guidance I was looking for, from frame color and style to the matting options. Alan put it together so nicely. I love my art and can't wait to display it. This is our second order placed, and I highly recommend their team.

As of April 2021, you can press a button to let employees know that they kept you waiting curbside forever without helping you.

Like other Yelpers, my wife and I, too, have spent wayyy too much money at Michaels. So, yes it hurts to write this review. But honestly, this location sucks and needs lots and lots and LOTS of training for their staff and operational improvements. I've placed multiple orders for curbside pickup the past few months and never once have they brought my order out to me curbside. Oh, and forget getting your order on the same day. Your curbside order will take multiple days before you can pick it up, even if it's one item. Whenever I arrive, I park in a curbside pickup spot, mark myself as arrived in the app, and then I sit and wait and wait and wait and never get helped. Eventually, like 25+ minutes later (apparently I haven't learned my lesson), I'd get tired of waiting and go into the store only to find that apparently no employees handle online/curbside pickups. It's as if the entire employee staff has no clue that they take online orders or curbside pickup is something they offer. I know it's specifically the Glendale location that has issues, because the Pasadena location runs like a well oiled machine. Anyway, today at the Glendale location, I again was not helped curbside. When I gave up on waiting and went into the store, I saw that they finally put an online order button by the front door that makes an obnoxious sound when pressed, to presumably let employees know they've let down yet another curbside pickup customer...? I think that's considered progress. Still, it seems hit or miss if any employees respond to the obnoxious button when you press it. It's like all the workers have challenged each other to ignore pickup customers. Final note: the employees themselves seem very nice. I think the problem is with management (or lack thereof). If you read other reviews, this location has clear issues. It's pretty telling that I tried to send this feedback directly to Michaels and couldn't find any way to do so through their website. To the managers/owners: try doing a mystery shop on your own store. Place an order as if you were a customer and choose curbside pickup and wait in your car for your order. Try experiencing what your customers experience. You'll learn a lot.

I like to look for the sales. They have amazing sales. Great place for artists who need last minute material.

Service in this store was poor. We were forced to use the self checkout because the cashier refused to scan or check out our items.

There was hardly anything up on the shelves. We went there for magnets and 95% of that section was out with only one option.

They've got plenty of 2 mil card sleeves (cheaper than Amazon) and a ton of sports card collections, but the real standout was the interaction. Super welcoming, super genuine. The kind of spot that makes you want to hang out a little longer. Make an afternoon of it. One of the employees was helpful enough to place the cards I selected at the front while I continued looking around, which I appreciated. From what I observed, pricing varied depending on the item. Some cards were fairly priced, some below market, and others above market value. One particular vintage moderately played card was listed at $16.77, while recent comparable sales on TCGPlayer appeared to average closer to the $13-15 range. Since I was purchasing multiple items and understood that older vintage cards may not move as quickly as modern inventory, I politely asked if they would consider a flat $15 price on the card. Unfortunately, the interaction that followed left a negative impression. The owner (or manager) seemed unwilling to negotiate, with his first words being "oh, so you want a break." Which came across as unnecessarily hostile over what amounted to a relatively small discount request. I completely understand that local stores have operating costs and are free to price inventory however they choose, but I felt the response lacked professionalism and customer courtesy. Because of that interaction, I decided not to complete my purchase and instead visited CoreTCG in Pasadena afterward, where I had a much more positive experience. The staff there were knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming, and I ultimately spent far more than I originally planned. I genuinely wish this store success, but I hope future customer interactions are handled with a bit more professionalism and openness.

I've been coming here ever since my dad and I started getting back into collecting Pokémon cards, and it has quickly become our go-to shop. The atmosphere here is always fantastic, but what really makes this place top-tier is the staff. A massive shoutout to Daniel, Marvin, and Luis! They are always incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and have been so genuinely helpful whenever we come in to handle sales or figure out trades. They always shoot straight and treat us fairly, which is something you really appreciate when navigating the hobby. Beyond just the great customer service, we've had some insane luck here. The absolute highlight was when my dad actually pulled a MEGA DREAM god pack from a purchase we made at this location! We were absolutely losing our minds. It's unforgettable memories like that which make collecting together so much fun, and I'm so glad it happened with product from our favorite local spot. This one is on the second floor of a two-story commercial building. Not sure if there's parking in the back, so I just park out front off of Glenoaks. Stairs are on the side of the building. But they have a nice selection of boxed sports cards for reasonable prices. Bought a 2023 Topps Baseball Chrome Logofractor box and pulled an absolute monster of a card (see pic).
