The little sweet cafe is indeed little and sweet. It is beautifully quaint and European and the staff are always very kind. I've been twice now and have ordered the lemon crepe ($12), strawberry Nutella crepe ($16), and prosciutto sandwich ($25) all of which were so yummy and fresh. The prosciutto sandwich also photographs beautiful and the bread was toasty and crunchy to complement the salty prosciutto. I recommend pairing a sweet and savory item here for the perfect meal. Cute little place that I have passed over the past few years. Visited with a friend on a nice rainy day. It wasn't packed so we were lucky to get a table by the window. It's a very small place so don't arrive with your whole entourage hoping to get seated. And don't be loud either because it's cozy seating. We went to banana and Nutella crepe and the roasted chicken crepe. The roasted chicken one was a bit bland but lucky the Goat cheese gave it a little boost otherwise it would have been a bust. The banana + Nutella was delicious. I got a matcha latte with some syrup added. This was also very good. I recommend for the coffee or even to-go option. This little sweet cafe took my breath away. Intimate, cozy, hidden gem, a delight, warm -- all these words fit. My daughter had spotted this cafe previously and brought me here on my recent Brooklyn visit. We brought melancholy vibes with us on a cold, cloudy day but this sweet little cafe helped smooth the way to rest of our day. We shared a salmon crepe and poppyseed muffin. I had a creamy London Fog tea. All were delicious! We managed to snag a tiny table, and were served by an efficient server. Only a few tables and a tight fit, but you feel like you have escaped to a secret hideaway. Definitely on my list to visit again when I am next in Brooklyn. read more

I've frequented coffee shops all over the world; my favorite to date was Alelier September in Copenhagen,Denmark. Today in Downtown Brooklyn I had coffee at The Little Sweet Shop and it was as good as Alelier or maybe a tiny bit better? My coffee latte was about as perfect as any latte I've ever had. And their assortments of bakery goods was excellent. I don't know the name of the pastry we bought, but it went perfectly with our coffee. The girls working here were the hardest workers I've witnessed. As jammed packed as this cafe was, these two foot soldiers got everyone served and happy in record time. Such a cute and aesthetic spot! I love how the cafe is tucked away among vining leaves and the cozy decor. It is a very small and tight space, though, so it can be hard to find seating. There is also a 45-minute period to eat and leave, and a no computer policy. The brunch menu is somewhat small and definitely pricey for what you get. I tried the savory roasted chicken crepe ($23), which had chicken, goat cheese, and spinach. The chicken was dry and not super flavorful, though the goat cheese added a lot! I also unfortunately didn't taste the Persian saffron. I did really enjoy the crepe wrap, which was flavorful. I was a bit hungry after finishing the crepe. The service was friendly and fast. There's a water dispenser which is self-serve, and you order at the counter / take a number placard back to your seat. Literally -- while all the greenery both inside and outside the cafe certainly set the scene for a picturesque garden getaway near Downtown Brooklyn, know that real estate realities are also a factor in this cafe's coziness, for better or for worse. I loved the ambiance, the curry chicken crepe, and the company, though I couldn't help but think that this place would be a nightmare on weekends. We stopped by on a Wednesday morning for a late breakfast, thinking that it would be easier to snag a table that way. Little did I know that it was already packed inside (admittedly a fairly easy feat considering that there are only a handful of tables inside). We hovered by the outdoor seating, desperately hoping that someone would finish their meals by the time ours were ready. Perhaps dining here is a test of altruism as you're asked to keep your meals to 45 minutes. Most of the dishes here are Persian-inspired. The curry chicken crepe comes with house roasted chicken, grapes, scallions, walnuts. Expect Brooklyn prices (it was $22) but as more of a brunch dish, it was enough to tide me over until the evening. What an adorable gem just around the corner from my hotel in Brooklyn. Loved the lush plant canopy surrounding their outdoor patio. Seating is cozy with table tops all seating two. Look forward to rich wood in interior and overall feeling of warmth. It was a very hot day (100 degrees) but it was nice and cool inside. Staff was helpful and friendly. We originally sat outside because inside was full. Waitress proactively came outside to us and invited us inside as she had just cleared a table. Crepe was made fresh and berries were juicy and perfect. My friend ordered the tuna melt which is only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Bread was yummy focaccia. Tuna salad was weird and he asked twice if it was for sure tuna. It was yellow (maybe mustard) but the staff couldn't tell us what was inside. There were small onions and who knows what else. Avoid the tuna melt and you will LOVE this place. Had one of the best chais that was rich in flavor and perfect amount of sweetness and foam. read more

This is the cutest foresty cafe! The decor is a eclectic and very New York with the exposed brick walls (tbh even the bathrooms were decent which is how you know the place is well kept and nice). The service was very nice and didn't take too long. The staff were friendly but they did forget my coffee order and I had to remind them. We got crepes which were good but not amazing. One mixed berry crepe we got was missing the blue berries which was sad. The crepes are definitely the thing to get! Coffee was definitely good. My friend and I rolled up on a rainy Saturday noon for some crepes. I was aghast at the prices! $19 for a smoked ham crepe? Even in Manhattan, that would come out to ~$15. My friend ordered a small hot chocolate and was shocked that it was $5. The only thing we ordered that was reasonable was the raspberry financier, which was $3.50. The food and drink were all very good, with balanced flavor, but I would not return for this price point. I did notice they posted a 45 min seating limit, and we were kicked out 35 min after receiving all of our food (seated for a total of 60 minutes) for "other customers," even though there was no one waiting in line, so it's definitely not a cafe to sit at if you want to properly catch up with friends. read more

I've been wanting to visit @thelittlesweetcafe since I moved around there. I finally did and liked it a lot! The almond croissant was pretty dense and very filling.
