I've never actually dined in this establishment. I came with my homegirl a couple times to get some of their chicken before heading out to our destination, but I went there last night on Memorial Day and the woman at the bar with the wild hair. I believe her name is Crystal. She just did not have a good spirit. She wasn't very welcoming and when I called to ask if my purse and my jacket were left, they gave me an attitude over the phone. It was her and a man whose name I didn't catch they gave me an attitude over the phone. They didn't want to say who they were and they hung up in my face when I called back. No one answered the phone. I drove down there and they had closed about an hour Early. So I called in the next day and I asked the woman what was her name so I could know who I was speaking to and address her properly and let her know that she was being rude to me last night so I asked about four times who am I speaking with and then she hung up in my face and refused to say who I was speaking with anywhere are you working customer service you tell the customer who they're fucking name is most people wear a name tag that's not hard AnyWho, so I called back and I got the so-called manager on the phone. I believe his name was Angel and I was telling him that I did not have a good experience. He didn't seem to care not only that I was asking was my sweater left and he was saying he found a black scarf and I said that's my sweater. He said you're saying you had a jacket is it a jacket or a sweater going into semantics and it doesn't matter I'm letting you know that that's my Property. Can you put it up? And the manager gave me a hard time about that so I personally won't hang out there as far as calling in to order chicken I may do that, but I don't believe that they'll actually give me my property considering they gave me a hard time about everything else. Cool place to stop in for a drink and decent wings. Not too much to offer just a local bar with typical bar food and service. The servers were ok but had to call them a couple times because they were on their phone and talking to each other. Never checked on us without us calling them. It's a great, friendly neighborhood spot conveniently located before getting to the core of downtown Indy. Parking options are solid and there is even a small parking lot in the back so if you get there earlier in the evening you certainly can snag a spot. I do love the fact that they have multiple seating options to include high top tables, bar seating and standard seating. We went on a Friday during happy hour before the crowds and the music gets amplified. However, if we didn't need to head home we would've certainly stayed around for the local vibes and played a game of pool or two, because yes, they also have a few pool tables. I also heard there are occasional, live bands. Service was excellent and the lemon drop martini's were extremely well made. I ordered wings to go but when I got home I realized they gave my friend the order and gave me a box of fries that she was missing. I went there to eat with my wife yesterday around 3 and it was the worse service we ever had, the bartender was so bad, her attitude is horrible, she didn't give us a menu, she didn't get us a refill, we order our food for a while before the people were sitting next to us and our food took so long and they got their food first for just wings and a chicken quesadilla we ordered. It's a small space, and usually heavily crowded, at least on the days I've been there (one Friday, and one Saturday). In my experience, the songs played are recycled as well. I wish they'd play more than early 2000s music, or spice it up at least. I can see that most of the clientele there maybe middle-aged, but for the younger crowd. It would be nice to hear some modern music. Karaoke is on Friday nights, but the audio is jank. You can hear the singer's voice going in and out projecting from the speakers, like skipping. Tonight was my second time ever stepping foot in this establishment but now I see why I've strategically avoided this place. The servers are rude as hell and lack the intelligence to promptly take and bring out orders. I feel as though this specific server intentionally denied us service. After waiting almost 1 full hour (and multiple times getting her attention and her putting her pointer finger up to tell me to wait as If I was 2 and not 32) I finally went to the bar to see if I could place my basic order (10 chicken wings & fries) there which to my surprise I was told I needed to wait for the woman (keep in mind, she was NOT the only server on the floor nor was the restaurant side full). My cousin and I finally waited another half hour to while we watched her take orders all around us, correct orders that had already been taken to the tables, bring drinks out, etc. i finally approached her for the final time to ask when she saw fit to take our food/drink order and she proceeded to say "baby girl the kitchen closed 1.5 hours ago" I wish you all could see the look on my face. My night was instantly ruined. Came home with an empty stomach and an angry heart. Sounds dramatic but I saved my appetite throughout an entire concert at GAINBRIDGE to eat dinner here only to be discriminated against and leave still hungry. A group of us came here on a Friday night for karaoke to celebrate for my birthday. The place is very small, limited seating, and smells like chicken grease so don't wear anything nice or a brand new wig, lol The food is greasy bar food, and they are known for their amazing chicken wings and pizza. The place was packed and we Got there early so we could get a good seat. It was fun, but it's definitely the same crowd every week, and the same old local singers because everyone knew everybody. By the way, I waited 30 minutes on the "to go" order of 8 wings and fries. 30 minutes... for 8 wings. There were less than 10 other customers in the entire restaurant. Had a fun friends night out and visited the Living Room Lounge. Security greets you at the door with a pat down and purse check and we were surprised with the $10 charge to get in since it's pretty much a bar. However, the security and door lady were really pleasant. Our group of 12 spent most of the night shooting pool. The table my husband and I used had 2 eight balls, so that was fun ‍. There was a really "homey/relaxed" vibe and seemed like a place that had a lot of regulars that visited. The drink prices were pretty cheap but we noticed a waitress never came over to see if we need anything. Not sure if there's normally one, just an observation. I came here with a group for Karaoke on this past Friday night. I got there about 9:30pm and there was a $5 cover. Im glad I just happened to have cash on me, which isn't my norm. When I got to my group's table, I waited for a server. She appeared, dropped off some drinks and disappeared. A few of us decided to go to the bar to order our drinks. The bartender served my friend with an attitude so I decided to go on the other side of the bar near the pool tables. That bartender was friendly and she took my drink and food order. We ended up not even going back to our table and just ate standing around the bar. I ordered chicken and fries and the chicken was fried to perfection. I came here with a group of friends on a Sunday afternoon. This was my first time coming here, but they all had been here before. There is a parking lot behind the place, but we all parked on the street. Street parking is free on Sunday of course. When we arrived there was no cover charge. My friend said they usually charge on karaoke night and Saturday nights. A waitress told us to sit anywhere so we sat at one of the longer tables. The menu has a decent amount of food and drinks. I had previously read the other yelp reviews before I came here and the wings seem to be the favorite. When the waitress came back we all was ready to order. I got an order of wings with buffalo sauce and ranch on the side. I also got the fried cauliflower with ranch on the side. My friends all got wings as well. One of my friends ordered the salad with steak on top. She said it was so good. I loved the wings! I've ordered hot wings from other bars and they were not hot at all. I love spicy food and the buffalo sauce here was spot on. The cauliflower was good as well and the portion was big. I ended up taking wings and cauliflower home to eat the next day. Myself and 3 of my friends ordered the the living room lounge punch. We all thought it was a way too strong. They all replaced their drinks with something else. I just asked for a cup of cranberry juice to go with mines. My friends mom got a lemon drink I can't remember if it was called a lemon drop. Dear Lord just shoot me. Like seriously, I take back every nice thing I ever said about this place....It's always super raggedy, but today took the cake! It started off great until one of the bartenders (off the clock) decided to get super sloppy drunk. First, she photobombed me and one of my best friends. Then after several more shots decided I was in a secret plot against her and some love triangle with a few other people that work there... *pause* umm, no. Hell no. Just no. I never saw this woman before. After practically standing on top of the bar, she decided it wasn't enough to talk crazy to everyone around she felt the need to run toward me screaming, "Let me tell you something b!*&#" Then grabbed my wrist. Giiiiiiiirrrrrrl!! Thank God, Mother Mary, and all the angels in heaven that I am not as ratchet as I used to be, or I would be writing this review after being released.The off the clock bartender literally just attacked a customer (of ten years) so I asked to speak with the owner. I asked to at least have half the order comped ($59) and they said no because she wasn't on the clock then offered a drink, and no apology. No one took responsibility for the drunken debauchery and douchebaggery or the fact that this banshee clawed my arm. There's nothing else like the LRL in Indy. I doubt I can give it justice in this review. The crowd is incredibly diverse. On any given night the LRL has a handful of men who look like they just left work still in tailored suits and a sprinkling of friendly homeless men. I've also noticed a good share of 21 year olds at the Lounge and my mom, who's over 50, enjoys hitting the karaoke stage. Its the perfect neighborhood dive bar. I LIVE for karaoke with Norm. "I have nothing to do on a Friday night"... says no one who's ever experienced the LRL. It's a guaranteed good time. Strong drinks, attentive staff, and great fun. Don't expect to get some fancy pants cocktail, but beer and basic mixed drinks are well priced and strong. I'm in love with the LRL (and not just because I met my love there). It's definitely on my top 10 list for Indy. read more

If you want a real taste of local Indy... the LRL is the spot. I go for Friday night karaoke hosted by the legendary Norm. You will have all types of singers on stage.... the groups of girls singing their hearts out to 'Goodbye Earl', legit-could-be-professional singers belting out Whitney, the guy that looks and sounds exactly like 50 Cent, and the old man reminiscing with George Jones.The crowd is a mixed bag for sure, and they will all quickly become your friends for the night. They moved the stage a while ago to the front room, and I have to say I like it that way so much better. More seating! Last night we were lucky enough to snag the couch and chairs for a group of 12. Drinks: don't expect an old fashioned. Expect a long island, bourbon coke, or a beer. The price is right. I walked away with a $12 tab for three drinks. Service.... we will just skip that. Let's just say no one has ever been rude, or out right horrid. I started becoming a more regular patron once smoking was banned. Before it was like floating on a nicotine cloud. So, thanks, Indy government, for the ability to sing cancer free. Warning: This place is not for serious, Type-A people. It's a bit divy bar-ish. Can be a tad rowdy. Wow this place was a total hole in the wall. I stopped in with a few co-workers when we were in town for work and heard they had karaoke. Our taxi driver waited to see if we wanted to stay which kind of made us wonder if it was sketch but when we peeked in, it looked like a dive bar/pool hall fill. Drinks were stiff and we caught some drink specials. Service was friendly and were really there for karaoke! The DJ was hilarious and it was fun! OMG I think everyone in that place can sing. I knew a few people seemed like regulars but I'm not kidding in saying that everyone that got up had a damn good voice. It was insane. We went up and each sung a song. Honestly a few of us at my table were reminiscent of the Cameron Diaz scene from My Best Friends wedding and realized that were better back up dancers!
