I called (Saturday, May 10, 2025) and asked for a call back on Monday to discuss their driver safety programs. Here we are on Friday, May 16, and there has been no response. If this company cannot be bothered to train their drivers about traffic rules or safety; and if they cannot bother to respond to a call; I would fear to buy anything from them.

Sadly, the RI fisherman quickly felt the downfall of all the restaurant closures and so the state allowed the fishermen to sell directly to the public. They set it up drivethru style so you don't even have to get out of your car. You pull up to the next available fisherman and they had lobsters and crabs. We went several times this summer and only missed out once, we went a bit too late and they had just sold out. There is nothing quite like ordering lobsters and watching them pull them directly out of the ocean in front of you. Talk about fresh. The lobstermen said that its great since they are able to recoup some of their losses however the downside is that they have to now stay at the dock and sell their product slowly, whereas before, they would dock and unload and head home. The guy I was talking to mentioned that they plan to sell lobster for as long as they can so he was thinking thru November at least, but that may change just like everything else does.

It was not dry at all. My daughter had the broiled sea scallops, her favorite. We keep coming here because they serve great quality seafood that is prepared skillfully. Ambiance: Eating seafood seaside can not be beat. Champlain's is located in the scenic fishing village of Galilee in Narragansett, RI. My roll was a little dry, but I was so excited and hungry to eat the lobster salad roll, it didn't matter!! My husband had the fried scallop dinner, which he loved. He had about 15 scallops with his French fries. The red chowder and Portuguese stuffies were also delicious. Most of the seafood is priced daily to market prices, but, man, we didn't even care since we felt it was all worth it! Three days later, and I can still taste that Lobster salad roll!
