The son of the owner informed me this location and the Martinsville location are owned by his mom. It has been many months since I visited the Martinsville location and their menu has really expanded to include a plethora on lunch choices in addition to an expanded breakfast menu at both locations. And he said the menu will expand again soon. Since I was by myself and he had some time, he sat down and we chatted for awhile. The seating at both restaurants, and you can call them that now since they do not just sell drinks anymore, has been greatly expanded both indoors and outside. He also told me they are working on opening a Plainfield location. I ordered my usual The Slugger on a biscuit for my bread choice (4) with sausage for my meat choice (3) and provolone for my cheese choice (5). It was superb and just how I remembered it from the other location when I was eating breakfast there several days a week about a year ago. I also ordered one Biscuit & Gravy which was excellent as well. I love small local business establishments and cooking. They always have great service and a friendly atmosphere. Biscuit and gravy was gross. Gravy is straight from a can with a ton of salt. I'v tasted the exact same gravy from burger king. Biscuits are no better. Save yourself time and a lot of money and go elsewhere. read more

Just the right amount of sweet. Sugar free and healthy options too. Lots of varieties and something for everyone. Will go back to try out more from the menu. The girl in there is always so sweet and the coffee is always yummy. They also use great coffee syrups which are the 1803 brand!

We try to support local restaurants. We were so disappointed with our food experience. My spouse ordered the grilled chicken salad $11.99 and I ordered the Philly Steak and cheese with an upgrade to a side salad. I took pictures because the salad my spouse ordered was no bigger than my $2 upgrade for a side salad, except for having grilled chicken on it. You can get a grilled chicken salad at a fast food restaurant 2x bigger for less money. The steak for the sandwich is cut in thick strips instead of shaved. Very hard to eat, steak falls of the bread. For $26 we could have almost eaten at a buffet. The door was open, allowing for a large amount of flies to bother you while you eat inside. On a positive note, THE STAFF was amazing and very friendly. We will not go back due to our food and atmosphere experience. read more

Scotch eggs were excellent, owner communicated to me frequently explaining that they take a while to cook. Drove over with my wife, excellent service and I tried the French toast and she had the biscuits and gravy. Portion size was appropriate and customer service was fantastic. The staff was very nice. However, the coffee and food were not good. Overprived for the quality of food given. We had breakfasg food.

We decided to give this place a try. The lady there was so rude. Not sure if she was the owner??We felt like we inconvenienced her by stopping by. She was really annoyed when we asked her about the drinks on the menu and to explain the flavors. There were so many items to choose from! Maybe they should focus on one thing to make it really good. Customer service was not good. I like supporting local businesses , but we are going to cross this off our list. Maybe that lady should learn how to treat customers better.
