I've had their food for the first time around June of 2018 and the food was very good and tasty. As we continued ordering it became less and less appetizing and most of the times burnt. This place was GREAT. We got a coupon in the mail- we live in howard beach- didn't even know it existed until we saw the coupon. We had the burger and fried chicken sandwich and side of biscuits. The burger and chicken sandwich came with fries. The meal was great! Best biscuits ever!! Finally a gastro pub type food in the area! I really hope they do well. What a nice find. Dropped someone at JFK, then a little walk in Shirley Chilsom Park and a stop here for a late lunch. Good home-made style food, fresh and tasty ingredients. Came here during lunch on a whim and was pleasantly surprised with the food. My co worker and I had the pork nachos and they were so delicious. The pulled pork was well seasoned and tender. All of the flavors went together very well. The portion was quite large and only $9! Draft and domestic beers are reasonably price, between $3-$4. My other co-worker had the shrimp po boy. The po boy was a decent size and had extra large shrimp in it and was served with seasoned French fries. I live directly across the street and saw that this resto finally opened so today the Mr. and I decided to walk over and give it a try! (Lord knows the food selection around here is something left to be desired) The decor was nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and the menu looked like it had a healthy variety of food items. We got: Chicken veggie soup Cuban Sandwich with fries Sweet chili & Bourbon BBQ wings Mac & Cheese The chicken veggie soup was luke warm (remember I live directly across the street!) and had a weird bitter taste to it so I didn't finish it. The Cuban sandwich was just ok. They actually put a whole slab of pork with a decent amount of fat on it... usually it's pulled. The meat itself was tasty but the slab of pork threw me off. The fries were undercooked and super soggy. I know it was a to go order but I literally walked 50 feet. It should not have been that soggy. The wings were not well done and there was barely any sauce in it. The meat was super bland as well. We barely finished. The Mac & cheese was pretty disgusting. It was bland and the cheese was creamy and powdery. The price of the food was pretty steep (about $40) for it to taste subpar. We really were hopeful that the food would be delish and this could be our new go to spot but I'm not quite sure that it will be. We are not sure if we are willing to shell out more money and try again for the fear of disappointment. So sad. read more

ok,so i wanna start by saying i ordered to go.. the half fried chicken,it came w/fries so i had the sweet potato fries and a side house salad..ok..so i have 3 stars because the chicken was not up to my standards at all!!! i was very disappointed for a new spot.all things nesd to be on point.. the chixken was ober cooked, the breading was not good... the fries were dine and the salad was on point.. i will give them another chance..i hope it's better next time.. if i had ate in there the chicken would of got sent back.. check.out my pics the chixken soesnt look appitizing read more

This place always popped up when looking for local food. Because I'm tired of ordering from the same "go to" spot for my dinner, I took a chance and I'm so glad that I did! I ordered the local press burger with a fried egg and Cajun fries, the chicken quesadilla with onion rings, an order of Mac n Cheese with bbq wings. Everything was neatly packed and perfectly cooked. The burger was medium just as I ordered and the chicken quesadilla was so freshly packed with deliciousness! Such a hearty meal! So much leftover for next day lunch! If you're from this area you know that food options are quite limited you end up eating the same thing over and over...Chinese,Italian,Spanish...that's pretty much it. So having a new option is always welcome unfortunately businesses especially food business around here pop up and disappear overnight I tried this place last week and had a good experience except for one small detail I decided instead of canceling it off my list I went to speak to the manager they clarified it and on my second order them compensated for it. the food here is really good and the service is just as good. I like that they have different options like the fried chicken sandwich and a baked and cheese.
