Her last weekend experience in the facility became a unethical incomprehensible unimaginable experience when patient dumping occurred, patient abandonment and premature discharge (Sunday) with failure to secure an after-care facility before the patient transport to another facility. No proper care plan was completed to secure her next steps for care. The other facility had not received authorization from a doctor at Cincinnati Rehabilitation Hospital. She waited on a stretcher in the front lobby of the other facility for up to an hour only to have the transporter tell us he must take her to the hospital down the street. This caused undue stress, worry, and anxiety for the patient and family. Again, where she laid on a stretcher outdoors inside the patient transport vehicle until we got word to bring her back to Cincinnati Rehabilitation Hospital because the patient was in a state of abandoned.

I was given the daily tools to use for my sobriety. The small group setting feels safe and comfortable along with a staff that is very positive, knowledgeable, supportive and kind. I came to realize that I have a disease...not to be ashamed of. Now that I am an "alumni," I go back once a week for after care as part of the program. I still feel very much a part of the Hotel California Family. This is a unique program that is very different than other intensive outpatient programs in the city. They have a 162-bed Medicare and Medicaid certified Health Care Center featuring 24-hour nursing care, Alzheimer's and related dementia care, and Hospice Care. Cedar Village also has the Oak View and Fountain View Apartments, 105 independent/assisted living apartments. Cedar Village also has a rehabilitation center to assist with recovery following illness, injury, or surgery. The rehab center includes special therapy, flat screen TVs and DVD players in every room, refrigerators, a DVD library, "Wii-habilitation," and Coffee and Popcorn Stations. Cedar Village is in its 11th year but it is extremely nice and very clean and still has that brand new look to it. It's a really good place for people who need to live there, it's comprehensive with all of the different levels of provided care, and there is even a kosher deli, a gift shop, two beauty salons, libraries, an on site bank and both Reform and Orthodox rabbis. When my family visited my great grandmother we liked the deli because we could eat with her and feel like we were taking her out to lunch. In addition to the great staff at Cedar Village, the retirement community also has a large number of "Junior" and Adult volunteers, and they also have a pet therapy program where you can bring in your pets with you. Cedar Village is also the home to number of community events, not limited to its residents, including Israel celebrations and the annual Cedar Village Golf Classic at The Ridge Club. For Cedar Village residents there are a number of fun activities and events including "Dancing in the Deli," a fashion show, the Cedar Village Choir, and a number of musical guests and programs. While my great grandmother lived at Cedar Village, we knew she living at a great place, dedicated to comfort and care.

do not work here or send your loved ones here. i am a worker here and the workers are snobby and…read morerude, and they are outrageously rude to the residents here. the workers put on a show for people who come visit their loved ones, all the nice, and happy, and smiles you see is all fake! today October 23, 2025 a nurse here was telling other nurses that a resident here was not liking the idea of him have a catheter, so he got upset and was saying he didn't want it on himself, and he was moving around, and the nurse told the other nurses she snatched him by his feet and yanked him to the edge of the bed and yelled at him in his face "you're going to keep this f**king catheter on rather you like it or not" she was demonstrating how she was pulling him as if she was proud of herself. this is a elderly who has pain and is fragile!!!! anything that you accidentally missed of your loved ones belongings after they've passed away, the nurses either throw the items away or give them to other residents or take them home for themselves.... to me that is just very disrespectful. about 2 weeks or so ago, i over heard a resident telling a nurse that another nurse slapped her in the face :( this place is just awful, and it's too expensive.
