Fantastic atmosphere, had a delightful Old Fashioned and soaked in the railroad environment, throwback to the cool club cars on passenger cars in the last century, yet with a lot of modern twists. The space is two cars, with one set up as a full-time bar, and the other a mixed space that was a dance club on the night we visited. The bar car was super cute and quaint, but also tight and cramped, especially with a crowd. The car is set up with a single person bar towards the back, and lounge seating along one side leaving small space for folks to walk and wait for the bar. The other car had the bar up front and the dance floor and seating in the back. This car had a cover, so we just did cocktails and lounged a bit in the bar car. The single bartender, while he was friendly and made a good cocktail, created a backlog of folks waiting for drinks. We waited 10 minutes in a single file line for our cocktails. I went with the espresso martini, and my pal got an old fashioned. Both tasty, but the glassware was wayyyyy too small. The line never cleared, so we did one and done unfortunately. The concept is great, but execution is lacking. I know there is limited space, but the current layout and function is not the greatest, especially on the cocktail car side of things. Overall, it was cool to experience and now we can say we have done it.

The drinks were amazing and the bar tender even made a special mocktail for me! The fact that they allow dogs into... yes into the entire space is wonderful! I lost track of what all we tried but: fae nectar, hurrican't even, cheeky devil, fiesta bear, and tea and tendril. Everything was delicious, went down easy, and reasonable prices. The food was also good - chips & queso, chicken tenders, and pretzel. The pretzel was INSANE - enough to go around for 4 people. Riley was a fabulous bar tender. He was super knowledgeable on all the spirits and cocktails. We had great banter and he was welcoming on our first visit. I loved the variety of seating options inside and out. The patio is great but the bees scared us back inside. Everything was decorated so cute for Halloween - it must have taken forever to decorate!! Definitely will be back again next time I'm in the Madison area!

The first couple projects we completed were the string art kits. The curbside pickup was seamless and the staff was super friendly! I got home to find the wrong color board but the issue was addressed promptly and Revel went above and beyond to make sure their customers were happy! Picking up a new board couldn't have been easier. Also, when I was at the end of my project and about 15 nails short, they were gracious enough to mail them out to me so I didn't have to drive from Milwaukee to Madison. The customer service here is phenomenal and really made me feel like they cared about their customers. I will be the first to say that I'm not a crafty person but the "Love" design was one I was willing to put forth the effort for and I'm so glad I did. Hammering all those little nails took a little more time than I expected and I'm glad this was a project for home so I could work on it as time allowed. Our next project is the etched coasters and can't wait to see how those turn out. I look forward to being able to visit Revel during "normal" times and take advantage of their workshops and events. Thank you Revel for the at-home crafting experience and thanks to Yelp for the sweet savings! :)

While its name implies a heavy beer presence, they have a very expansive and impressive bourbon and rye lineup, which is nicely priced. They also have a cool collection of old bourbon barrels from local and KY distilleries. The food menu is more or less what one would expect from a WI brewpub. We had Brussels and a sausage and mushroom pizza. Skipped the basal added garlic. Both were decent but for my taste under seasoned. The staff were really nice and helpful. It's worth checking out and I'd likely go back.

I will continue to frequent Full Mile and just not order the fish fry. Which brings me to the point that I really disliked the fish fry. We started with an order of cheese curds because a friend said they were her favorite in the area. Good, gooey white cheese but I actually did not love the breading. It felt like the same breading used on the fish and I thought it was greasy and without flavor. Definitely not a fan, but obviously many others are. The fish was very large, and two pieces was enough for leftovers (usually I need 3 pieces for leftovers). But again, I thought the beer batter/breading was greasy and not very flavorful. The fish fry also comes with the saddest excuse of a lemon wedge. It was so small I had to jam my finger into the flesh of the lemon just to try and get some juice to fall. So that was another blow to the fish flavor. But just because I don't like their fish fry doesn't mean I won't be back. My 4-star rating remains. I like their other food and it is definitely worth checking out for yourself to decide.
