Nice addition to downtown Sun Prairie. I like the indoor outdoor seating vibe. The decor is really interesting as well. While its name implies a heavy beer presence, they have a very expansive and impressive bourbon and rye lineup, which is nicely priced. They also have a cool collection of old bourbon barrels from local and KY distilleries. The food menu is more or less what one would expect from a WI brewpub. We had Brussels and a sausage and mushroom pizza. Skipped the basal added garlic. Both were decent but for my taste under seasoned. The staff were really nice and helpful. So this is just an update for the fish fry. I still love their beer and drink menu, and I really like their food menu. I will continue to frequent Full Mile and just not order the fish fry. Which brings me to the point that I really disliked the fish fry. We started with an order of cheese curds because a friend said they were her favorite in the area. Good, gooey white cheese but I actually did not love the breading. It felt like the same breading used on the fish and I thought it was greasy and without flavor. Definitely not a fan, but obviously many others are. The fish was very large, and two pieces was enough for leftovers (usually I need 3 pieces for leftovers). But again, I thought the beer batter/breading was greasy and not very flavorful. The fish fry also comes with the saddest excuse of a lemon wedge. It was so small I had to jam my finger into the flesh of the lemon just to try and get some juice to fall. So that was another blow to the fish flavor. But just because I don't like their fish fry doesn't mean I won't be back. My 4-star rating remains. I like their other food and it is definitely worth checking out for yourself to decide. read more

A true gem of a spot. We stopped in for some cocktails/beer and dinner while we were in the Madison area. We have two young kids so this was the perfect place for us - something on the menu for everyone, casual but inviting atmosphere and friendly/attentive service. I ordered the strawberry mojito which was recommended by the wait staff and it was delicious. The food here was SO good. I got brunch and enjoyed my salmon bagel sandwich. My server was so sweet. I came in as a party of one and she took great care of me and made me feel welcome. Went here with family as I was back in town visiting. I ordered the Mac and cheese with wood fired jalapeños and it was almost so spicy that I couldn't eat it. Our biggest question after dining here was: "Why didn't we come here sooner?!" This is an excellent brewpub in Sun Prairie, an easy trip for us on the east side. Our server Kacy was the BEST! You need to go. Service is fantastic. Drinks are great (cocktails) and the food is so good. I've never had a bad experience at all. I've been for brunch and dinner at least 10 times here. Drinks: I love that I can get a flight for less than $10. The cocktails are a must. I love the Bengunmin Punch and the Subourbonite. Food: Plenty of favorites include the dry rub wings. I think they have the best cheese curds in Dane County. Their pizzas are wood fired and popular. You can only get their cinnamon rolls on the weekend (so warm and gooey). I've had their burgers and they are cooked just how I like. Hand cut fries are great with the jalapeño cream! Also, just know that they will charge you extra for sauce if you ask for an extra Blue Cheese or Ranch. Service: Their staff are sooooo friendly and ON IT. There's only been one time where it was slow service but that's because they were PACKED and possibly short staffed that day. I don't mind because their food is soooo good. My first time here and it was a very positive experience. We were able to snag a table in the shade which was key given it was a hot and sunny lunch time. The hostess seemed a bit overwhelmed despite it being somewhat quiet - oh well every restaurant is having their staffing issues. Our waitress was very good and very attentive. They had a good selection of beers and we were glad they had an option for a 10 oz shorty. I tried the cream ale and it was tasty. I got the chicken and waffles and it was very good especially the butter with a bit of chili in it - nice spice. Some might think the portion was small but for $10 I thought it was fine. The cod fish fry was very good and they split it so it could be shared at no extra cost. The beer cheese soup was also well received. I will definitely return. read more

Suggested by my friend that lives in town, she indicated Full Mile is the new hip spot in Sun Prairie. So I stopped in for the sausage and pepperoni pizza with my boyfriend. There was a wait so it was suggested we keep an eye on bar eating. While waiting we eventually saw two seats open up. A sausage pizza was just right for two peeps. Pizzas are wood fired - the only way to be! I came back another time with moms and kids. Variety of burgers were had. Everybody cleaned their plates. The moms did like the entrées had an option for a woodfired vegetable, not just fries, for the teens to order. Wood fired broccoli - yes please! I do believe I had the mushroom Swiss and the plain burger on subsequent visits. These are the smash kind, which is how I prefer burgers. Thin and crispy. I agree with my friend this is a cool place especially for the times in this area. It's got an upscale vibe but not too exclusive. The atmosphere that makes you feel like you are upscale cabin life with rustic vibes. Price for food and drink are spot on. The pizza crust had garlic salt on the edges and that was yummy! Food is always good. Pizzas are amazing & you can get a personal size for 15$. Drinks are well made. Some things here are a bit pricey but the service makes up for it. They often have live music, open patio, craft beer made on site, with a more industrial type ambiance. Overall highly recommend. Public bathrooms, street & free lot parking, handicap accesible, located in downtown area. Came on a Sunday night with two friends. We were sat right away and drinks came out fast. Our server did seem to keep forgetting about us because the rest of the service took a long time. I'm giving it 4 stars because the person who stepped up to make sure we were attended to did a wonderful job and the food was good. It lacked on presentation, but it tasted good so I guess that's all that matters, right? My only real complaint is how uncomfortable the chairs were at the stand alone tables. I kept sliding off the back of the chair and then the seat back catches you in the wrong spot. For the long amount of time we were there, these chairs just were not the right choice. We all ordered the same menu item so I only had one pic to take. The chicken and waffles is a good balance between sweet and savory. I've never had it before so I'm glad it was a more of a chicken tender than chicken on the bone. The butter on the side was supposed to add some heat and smoke, but I was missing any flavor from it. Great food, service and beer! We are from Madison but we head to Full Mile at least one Friday night a month.

Excellent small-ish town Brew Pub in Sun Prairie. I was really happy when the Full Mile opened back in 2018. With the addition of The Right Bauer, Sun Prairie now had two nice brew pubs for beer lovers. Fast forward three years, throw in a pandemic, and Full Mile is still going strong. They made smart moves while capacity was reduced but now they have expanded their menu back to it's full glory. I am a mug club member. I joined this past January in hopes that my contribution would help Full Mile through the pandemic and help me find a reason to keep drinking good beer. Evidently it worked (please ignore my noticeable weight gain). Because of my membership I have tasted virtually everything on the menu. Let's start with salads. The mixed greens are great. Cool and crisp with a tangy vinaigrette. The beet salad was a miss for me. Too heavy and densely flavored for my liking. The Beer Nuts? Good, but my drinking buddy Tom did not love them. Too much of ... something. I agreed but it didn't keep me from eating much of the bowl. The Smelt - good. Best to share. The burgers are great though the Pimento Cheese Smash-burger is far too sloppy. The Pickle Barrel Burger is my go-to. Solid. Tasty every time. I've had the Fried Chicken & Waffles several times. Nice sweet heat on that! Best of the Wurst Platter is really excellent. Totally took me back to my summer Job in Germany, way too many years ago. Nice Job FM! I've had the tacos and love them. Especially the veggie tacos when I'm looking to go the healthier route. The Pizzas are really great. I can easily put one down on my own (yeah, back to the weight gain). Finally, for me the star of the show (when it's on their menu) is the Salmon. Perfectly cooked and they vary the accompaniments with the seasons. Almost always with great results. Now the beer. I know. Last? C'mon! The Full Mile does a really great job keeping a variety of beers on their menu. They've got something for everyone. The standouts for me are the Wonderdust Session Hazy IPA (not too bitter and a touch sweet), the La Strada Italian Style Pilsner (crisp and full of lightly hopped and malty flavors), and the rotation of various porters and stouts. Consistently good stuff! The cocktails on tap are pretty great too. To date I have probably been to the Full Mile 35-40 times. Gotta get my moneys worth out of that Mug Club! Rarely have I been disappointed and I almost always leave glad I came. read more
