My family and I decided to stop by Eagles Landing restaurant while traveling. I placed our order…read moreonline when we were about 20 minutes away. When we arrived we walked in and spoke with the friendly hostess. She informed us that our order was still being worked on so we waited in the restaurant. The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of seating. There was a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. The bathroom downstairs was small and clean. We got our food after waiting for about 10 minutes. It was worth the wait. The food was really good. I ordered a hamburger with onion rings and an extra side of fries. The burger was filling and tasty. The onion rings had a crispy exterior and the onions were sweet. They tasted yummy with ketchup but you could easily eat them without ketchup. The fries were good. They were thick, with seasoning, and a crispy exterior. I was surprised by the flavor. You could easily eat the fries without ketchup as well. Overall Eagles Landing Restaurant was a great place to grab some food. The online ordering process was easy, the service was friendly, and the food was really good.

I added a little s as lt and pepper on mine. My wife said hers was fine. Their onion rings are fantastic. Not overcooked. Great taste. You get a bunch for appetizer. We shared a piece of pecan pie. Yum. It was gooood! Our waiter Phillip was great. He was on top of getting our appetizer out before our meal which is always nice. And he kept checking on us but not bugging us. The restaurant is clean. A little smaller than I thought. There was a large group when we got there so not too many empty tables. There is also outdoor seating. We will be back.

The several times I flew out of here, I arrived an hour before my flight, used my app to check-in, check my bags and go through TSA in less 20mins lol. American Airlines only fly in and out of this airport and they always fly to the DFW airport for your connecting flight unless your final destination is in DFW. Flights to and from this airport is definitely more expensive vs if you flew out of Houston or Austin, but if you mind the 1.75hrs drive and possible traffic and don't mind spending a little more convenience, then this is a great option. There's ample parking, a small area to chill and eat and a decent sized waiting area for your gate. There are only 2 gates so you won't get lost lol. All staff that I've dealt with have been nothing, but super friendly and fast. I live less than 10mins from here so I've always had a free ride so I don't know how the parking situation is here or how much it costs per day.

This is not an airport to come and hang out too early to avoid the "crowds". The runway area is fairly large, which helps with the military-related air traffic and of course the private jets that probably come in on a football weekend. The Texas A&M fire school is still close by, and the ride into the main campus area is longer than I remember when I first landed here in 1979.
