Service and food was wonderful always point on with what is new on the menu plus covering dessert

Had brunch around 11am on a Saturday and thankfully there was no wait for a table. The service was friendly, consistent, efficient, and good. We chatted for about an hour and a half and did not see the place completely full, but enough to be busy. They provided a sample of crisps with an egg salad type of dip. It was tasty and a light surprise. The chicken and biscuits were amazing. The creamy sauce had a bit of jalapeño, giving it a distinct and light heat and flavor. The potatoes were like hashbrowns with great seasoning. The chicken was moist and delicious. Would absolutely come back for the food and service. Price-wise, $20-30 is about what it is per person. read more

A group of adults and children celebrated my birthday with me on a recent weekday evening. We were seated in a windowed small and narrow room at the front of the building. The table was really too small for our group, but we made it work. Service was superb and well-timed. We started off with drinks and a couple of appetizers. Happy hour gave us the appetizers at half price and $1 off alcoholic drinks. Then we ordered dinner. One of the children in the group needed a gluten free meal, but the gf menu was for adults, so a burger was ordered without a bun. Everyone enjoyed their food, but I was unimpressed with one of the dishes everyone seems to have raved about: the blue crab spinach gorgonzola ravioli. While the ravioli and its accompanying sauce and parmesan flakes tasted good, the ravioli was overcooked and the presence of crab barely noteworthy in the dish. Two of us ordered this and neither of us was impressed. We had 2 desserts to share at the table, a warm blondie with ice cream and a gluten-free chocolate cake. Was so wonderful to bring out of town friends here. I've moved to South Austin so it's a pretty good hike up here. But SO worth it. The complimentary pimento cheese spread was so good. Dinner was not rushed and came out in a great speed. Our waitress was so friendly and none of our drinks were ever empty. It was a little more noisy than usual but it was a Friday night was well with many large parties. I had the charizo stuffed pork tenderloins with smashed taters and area fresh grilled vegetables. The wonderful thing about Jack Allen's besides the taste of the food is that they source locally. My friends both has the New York strip fried steak. They loved it. I am a teacher, and they offer 50% off for teachers when you show your ID! The service was amazing, the restaurant is super cute, and the food was AMAZING. There was a long line to get in for dinner on a Friday but we hang out by the bar until they called us. Our server, Luke, was absolutely the best! He provided my husband with a great recommendation and I loved my steak arugula salad. I was not a fan of the potato slices in the salad...pears would be such a better choice. Spectacular service. Excellent birthday meal - we will be back! Kiddo's 14th birthday and he wanted a good burger and guacamole. Jack Allen's we said! The Fat Jack is always amazing! The crispy chicken sandwich was so flavorful, the crispy redfish was huge and delicious and their kids tenders were thoughtful and not just junk food. Their sweet potato fries and regular fries were excellent. The kids had sparkling blueberry lemonade mocktails and loved them. Mama added their habanero sauce to her fish and LOVED it. The guacamole is always excellent and (score) on Mondays they have happy hour all evening so we got it 1/2 price. They brought him a birthday dessert (he chose the blondie) and the family loved it. A tasty treat for lunch. As interesting lunch menu with some characteristic menu twists I feel are noteworthy. Like the special of that day was a Philly Steak sandwich of sorts with deep fried jalapeño and stuff. It was good. The wife had a bowl of today's meatloaf soup (that was a new one). Again good. Server was good. I had dread on the menu that every team member knows everything. I tested ours on the familiar and unfamiliar faces on the walls in artwork. I went with a large group And the staff was so kind and patient. We went on a Friday night so you can imagine how busy it was, but they made it feel like we were the most important. We ordered appetizers, drinks, and entrees. The jalapeño cornbread was delicious and a great shareable! The chips and guacamole are also a good option, especially for a large group. The mocktails were pretty good as well. For dinner I had the blacken shrimp enchiladas and it did not disappoint. It is so filling and if you want you could take a good portion home. Took the family to Jack Allens Kitchen in Hutto, one of my favorite places to dine. Very nice restaurant with convenient parking in the garage next door. It is located in Hutto just off of Highway 79 by the silo. We arrived at 5:30 for an early dinner and although the restaurant was not busy, we had to wait for a table. We were then seated in a booth and greeted by our waiter, who provided menus and took our drink orders. I ordered my favorite, which is the sweet chili shrimp asian noodle salad. It includes sautéed shrimp, spinach, cold, Asian noodles, shaved, red, onions, cherry tomatoes, avocado, toasted almonds, with a creamy sweet chili dressing. It is delicious. Highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a nice seafood salad. Service was not up to standard this visit. My grandson asked for a water to go with his Coke and buttermilk dressing for his burger, but we had to request them twice before the waiter brought them. Jack Allen's kitchen is the best restaurant in the Round Rock/Hutto area. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out on a fine dining experience. read more

First off... this place is a gem! Service, atmosphere, food, dessert. Everything on point and every recommendation from our waiter Doug was just as he described it. You just can't go wrong coming here. We came in here from work, my entire department and enjoyed great food, laughs, and delicious deserts. The service is always great! And the oracle itself is inviting and great for intimate gatherings or group ones like ours. Some of the people never had been to this location as they came from Dallas. I've lived in the Austin metro area for many years but had yet to try Jack Allen's Kitchen. I was surprised by how fresh and affordable everything was. The ambiance felt very warm and inviting. Our server (can't remember his name unfortunately) was very helpful in recommending items on the menu. Things we had: Jalapeño Crab dip: So good!! We shared one order between 3 people and wish we had more, so something to consider if you're a larger party. Pimiento Cheese: it was our first time so our waiter brought us a sample of this and I really liked it! It was creamy and flavorful. 13 spiced chicken pasta: overall, this dish was okay. The sauce was absolutely delicious and the chicken was grilled to perfection. However, their noodles (red pepper and spinach linguine) kind of had an odd taste. I will say it got better as I ate more (maybe my taste buds were adjusting?) but I would likely not get this again unless they offered regular linguine as a substitute. Fried pork chop: my husband really enjoyed this meal. I stole a few of his sweet potato fries and those might have been the best sweet potato fries I've ever had! We also tried their frozen margarita (as apart of their all day happy hour on Mondays) - they were really good and strong! I have been a fan of Jack. Allen's restaurants since the beginning. I've truly never had better, more consistent service anywhere else I have ever gone. These folks really know how to do service exceptionally well. For our anniversary, the staff even signed a card for us and had a gift waiting as well! Food is also so very delicious. Consistently. I've tried so many different things on the menu. Their pimento cheese is hands-down my favorite and really the only that I eat. Their chicken fried chicken with that delicious gravy is definitely worth a go. My longtime favorite has always been there chorizo stuffed medallions. Holy moly. I love the farm to table concept and how it supports communities near ours. I always feel good about being a patron at this restaurant and it's easy to do with such great service and amazing food. read more

Had a great late lunch at J.A. after a shopping trip. Sat at the bar. The lunch crowd was lively. Decided on fried green tomatoes and the Crispy Gulf Redfish. The green tomatoes were good. Not really seasoned but the slaw and sauce more than made up for it. The reddish meal was more than enough. It was well seasoned and a very creative dish. Everything about it was good. Im not a big fan of zucchini but it added to the meal. I ate it all. Will definitely consider this meal again. read more

Went for my birthday, but have returned a few times since then. The spinach ravioli is my go to, but their hamburgers and chicken sandwhich are also good options. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming and they give you free dessert on your birthday. The dessert did not disappoint! The bread was probably the best part of the meal, I would go back just for the bread. The whole experience at this location is always very good. Food and service are always above most restaurant standards. On August 9, 2026 we went to JA restaurant in Round Rock, TX to celebrate my birthday. Our server in training Jaleesa was great. Then her supervisor a middle aged man -I dont have his name- arrived and everything went sour. He was not interested in serving us-I can feel it. He was in an incredible hurry. I asked about the desserts, and he pronounced four of them very fast. I could not follow and asked if he had it written in the menu. Nope. But it is on the online menu he said, which was not true-only two of the desserts were listed. I decided to skip the dessert which I love the most and left. Also, beef in the eggs Benedict, was not fresh and had a specific taste as opposed to a neutral taste I am familiar with. My birthday was a kinda of spoiled. read more

We stopped in here just for drinks as that was really our main thing over this relaxing weekend. We let our server, Helen, know up front that was all we were doing. She was very upbeat and personable. Super helpful and did talk us into a dessert. We where in a booth and this was the downside. The side of the booth i was in was rocking and you could feel a bar or something similar when you sat down. I went to move to the other side, the whole bench came off, almost caught my legs. Helen tried to put it back together. It was bad, the other side was not broken but uncomfortable as well causing me pain sitting there. But the drinks were good and the dessert was fantastic.
