Nice, new Hannaford recently opened at Cooks Corner, Brunswick, Maine. Very roomy, well stocked and…read moreso far pretty decent. Plenty of parking. They have a hot bar and salad bar and to go meals. Worth checking out, plus it's in a mall setting, so make it a day out and check the surrounding stores and restaurants.

The person working had to check and call me back 4 times to make sure that was okay, even though I already paid for it. He ended up needing to cancel all produce, and reorder. Okay. So today my husband arrives at the store at 9am, and drives 20 min home, only to realize all of our produce was not given to him. My husband called, and spoke to a woman who was working (who was very kind), and assured us that our produce was right that, and to come back. We have now returned back, and the worker (a new one) brought out one bag of produce! We should have at least 4 bags. He said that there was no other produce for us. He is now shopping the store off the clock due to the other workers incompetence. He was great, but terribly run process Edit- Megan (the manager), called me and wanted to talk through exactly what happened. She was extremely sweet and apologetic, and gave us a $50 gift card! Great customer service. Thank you, Megan!

It's astonishing that I have only been in this store twice, given the fact that I grew up in Brunswick...Anyway, i finally made it in. It's a smaller store, that feels like what you might encounter in a larger city. It was neat and clean. I couldn't really tell how aisles were organized, however, because I was browsing, it didn't stress me out. We encountered one staff member who "assisted" my sister and it was fine, very transactional, which is fine and again, what you might expect in a big city. Staff at the register were fast and efficient, didn't engage in too much conversation, just supportive of fruit pies I purchased. LOL They had a lot of offerings from some of our favorite local businesses! Standard Baking Company Little Lads Two Fat Cats Union Bagel The prices were competitive as well! They have fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, seasonings...pretty much everything you can find at Whole Foods but at a smaller more local scale. I can't wait to go back the next time in town.

Every single time I visit Morning Glory I spend way more money than I was expecting to (and leave…read morewith way more stuff than I came for)! How can I not when they carry products I... a) have never heard of b) have always wanted to try and had never been able to find before c) can't find anywhere else From healthy looking organic produce, to a plethora of gluten-free cereals, to the odd can of locally made beer that was sold out months ago in Portland, to frozen and refrigerated foods not carried elsewhere (like vegan salami! like vegan cheeses you've probably never heard of! like locally made - not just artisans from Cumberland County, but Androscoggin and Sagadahoc too!). Morning Glory is truly a natural foods store paradise. I drive out of my way to come here - I think it's probably the best natural foods store in Maine! - because there's so much right about this little local spot (prices, variations on themes of items, the smell [how can we bottle this up?], the candle and other home goods/gift options, the seasonal items, the staff seems more willing to help than ever before, even the space itself is welcoming despite it being overly crowded with shelves and people). I'm proud to support my local independent grocer!

Bow Street does it again! I seem to have an uncanny ability to find tastings - and when I thought I…read morewas making a quick stop to get two avocados there was a tasting happening! It was great - the woman from the distributor was perfect. What made it extra memorable was a calligrapher who added messages to each bottle purchased. This rating is specific to the Deli which I've NEVER had a good experience with. Only reason we…read morereturn is for Boars Head meats which can't be found anywhere else. For starters, they won't permit you to pre-order over the phone and direct you to the app, which also die NOT have an option to order deli meats. When you arrive at the deli, there are typically 4-6 employees standing behind the counter and not one of them will bother to acknowledge your presence. Certainly never any niceties. Instead, you'll find them shooting the shit tucked in the corner snacking on deli meats and cheeses. After multiple minutes waiting, One will come and ask if you've been helped because it's not obvious enough that I'm standing there alone, staring at them and no one has lifted a finger. This deli has to be the penalty box for Bow St workers because they all act like they're in a cage waiting to be let out and want absolutely NOTHING to do with patrons. They'll literally let meat roll off the slicer into a bag that ultimately falls apart when trying to remove a slice. Today, I got home to find a half pound of turkey ends. These guys clearly intentionally try to ruin days. Owners, PAY ATTENTION. This is on YOU.

Came in to price a camera, to order online. Saw that the store actually had it in stock. Stood at the electronics counter for 10 mins, and nobody came to assist. Found the guy in the aisle, and he made no attempt to help. Didn't even say hello. So, I walked away. Guess I'll spend my $600 elsewhere. Also the plus size clothing selection at this store is HORRENDOUS. It's terrible. All year round, this is where they decide to drop their clearance racks for other clothing departments to make the section appear full. All of the clothes are cheap nasty material that nobody wants, certain things have been there since last fall. It's truly pathetic! Their bathrooms are an absolute dumpster fire. ALL THE TIME. Don't even get me started on their idiotic parking lot and the drivers that park there. None of these customers have any right to even have a drivers licenses. Everybody is arrogant and entitled. I can't even tell you how many times the handicap parking is invaded by non handicap people that don't have any compassion. The only saving grace this store has is that they have the new Alpine Blast Poppi soda in stock and their door greeters are the nicest people in the world. That's it. Literally everything else SUCKS!

This Shaw's is one we go to maybe once a month. Based on those experiences, we have never had a bad experience at this Shaws. It's usually very well stocked in all departments, the premade areas are usually the ones that might have some bare shelves. Either they are on top of stocking or they don't sell things as quickly? either way, we have found things we wanted and the dates were never past. They usually carry the hummus we like (Joseph's), they are usually never out of Mt. Dew Zero, and their produce is usually pretty good. The bakery is great for ordering kids bday cakes or cupcakes - they usually have cake toppers in line with current pop culture. They also will give you toppers for free if you buy an ice cream cake! The store is well lit and the music not annoying. This store has less of a "smell" than the the Shaw's in North Deering and is less crowded than the Shaw's in Falmouth. One thing I don't like about the layout is halfway down the aisle splits. The center section is usually chaos with people trying to read signs midway down while turning. The customer service was not notable, expect for the bakery team - they were great. Parking lot is ok, it's shared with other businesses so the entry and exit is usually chaos on the weekend.
