I should have written a review for Drystyle a long time ago -- but, well ... I'm lazy about writing reviews. I'll add photos when I can find them -- but I get OUTSTANDING color from every stylist I've used at this salon. Their cuts are consistent and high quality. It's not the cheapest place, but well worth the money. My Brazilian Blowout lasted a FULL four months with the care they recommended. I always book my color, cut and blow out at the same time so I get to spend a whole afternoon hanging out w/ the stylists ... they're always fun! read more

I decided to try this salon after a traumatizing haircut at another place in town. Like, I didn't cut my hair for over a year after that because I hated it. My hair was needing a cut badly so I researched places and booked an appointment here and Beverly took care of me. After I told her about my last haircut experience she was great at checking in and asking questions to keep me involved. I felt comfortable enough to defer to her judgment and I ended up really loving my cut! Will definitely return for more appointments. I love the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Not sure if this place even deserve a 1 star. But I had to rate it to comment. I came in for blow out and as the lady (didnt catch her name - not sure if she gave it to me but she speaks very little english.) well. She wash my hair and my face. Yep! My face. I had came with makeup for my event at night and she ruined it completely!!!!!!! I mean. How can you messed up washing hair. Then I showed her a pic of a style I want. BUT IN HER MIND SHE WANTED TO DO WAVY OLD SCHOOL CURLS. I had a feeling bc she did tight curls and I told her u sure thats how u do it bc I just want something really light and basic and she insisted that yes she will brush it out. Omg. I looked like curly sue. I wanted to die. First my makeup is messed up and now my hair! I told her this was NOT what I wanted and she started getting frustrated with me. The hell. So another girl. Veronica reblow out my hair the best way she did. Thank you Veronica for saving the day. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but I didnt have time to rewash my hair for her to redo since I was late and had to go home to redo my makeup. So if you guys do plan to try this bar out. Ask for Veronica and nobody else. Bc my friend had another lady did her hair and she asked for volume and the poor lady didnt understand her. So yeah. A complete fail at this place. Do not go here...they will charge your credit card for the wrong amount and make charges on it even if you do not have services with them. This has happened to us twice now and they always have an excuse as to what the mixup was. There are too many good salons out there to waste your time on one that has decided that credit card fraud is ok! read more

I have gotten blow dry, makeup - all great-and last time I did color and hair cut with Diana who was fantastic! I got just what I wanted. They have a great online booking system and to top it all off they are open on Sundays! This is my new salon on Katy. Highly recommended. read more

I really needed a blow dry as I had a last minute function to attend. I had no appointment, but when I showed up the place was empty. I asked for a blow dry and the lady told me sorry we close in 15 minutes, this was 6:10pm the sign outside said 7pm closing time, when I asked about the time she said the sign outside is wrong. My hair is short and would have maybe taken 30 minutes. Who turns down a job?? Because of the terrible customer service I won't be trying here again. read more

I had an appointment at 12. Had to move it to 12.30 and I ended up reaching at 12.40. When called to reschedule I was told that Michelle (my stylist) has another appointment at 1.30. I walked in and since my hair was pre washed and already wet, I was ready to go. I asked for layers and blow dry with round brush. For some reason Michelle felt it's better to blow dry before cut. When she was almost 75% done, the other hair stylist (only 2 at a time due to COVID) comes over and asks Michelle to go help her client with curling. She then comes over and explains to me that since both me and the other client were late for our appointment they are working hard. What I don't understand is why I had to wait and not the other person. Of course the other client was there when I went in. Even if I consider that was the reason, I waited for almost 15 mins and at 1.20pm asked Michelle if she can get to me and finish my cut before 1.30. She came over a little after 1.20 and did a blunt cut and I told her I wanted layers. Miraculously I was told layers were "done" in less than 10 mins for someone with mid length hair. I felt they were giving importance to everyone else except me inspite of my appointment scheduled specifically with Michelle..I'm Not sure if the other hair stylist was the manager because Michelle tried to say no but couldn't stick to her stand. Overall I'm disappointed. And I paid 65$ for this!! read more

Had an appointment with Kelsey for a haircut today. Never did get a haircut though! Appointment was for 1:00pm and about a half hour before I get a call from the receptionist saying the stylist is running late and she can see you at 2:00pm. So I said I would be in at 2:00 instead. Thought it was a bit strange because an hour is a long time to be running late. Nothing said about sorry for the inconvenience or anything. So I get there at 2:00 and the receptionist tells me that Kelsey is still running late and if I want I can see another stylist at 3:00pm. Wow....just wow! Very unprofessional! Spoke with the manager to find out what the problem was and her response was pathetic. No regard for customer service or people's time. read more

This place is okay. They were very kind as soon as I walked in for my appointment. The mimosa was amazing, although she was hesitant to give me one at 9:30 Am. I think the only downside is that whoever did my hair, was not familiar with thick hair. She had blow dryed and straightened it, but 2 hours later my hair was puffy and frizzy again. Usually when I go places to get my hair straightened, they do a very good job with making it pin flat to where I don't have to touch it for 2 days at least. The astatic was nice and the people were great, but they are not good if you have very thick hair. read more

I used Dayra and not only was she an absolute doll but so professional and listened to everything I wanted and made me feel right at home. This place is a terrible business and I will gladly tell you why! My wife's mother passed away and we had to cancel within 24 hours to go out of town for a DEATH in the family and they charged us $42.50 for the cancellation! I reported this to the Better Business Bureau and several blogs as I understand that there are policies for companies, but a death in the family! And to top it off the girl on the line says as we are packing to go the airport; " sorry about your loss but you still owe us $42.50 as you cancelled within 24 hours". What a great company and there compassion is null and void. Would not recommend this to anyone at all..... read more

I cannot begin to explain my experience at this place. My hair has been falling out due to suspected nutrient deficiency, so I went in get just hack it all off. It's incredibly difficult to find a salon open on a Sunday when people with 9-5 jobs are off work, so I said what the heck. I normally go to BH hair studio, but I was desperate. I sat down and told her what I wanted and she looked at me like I was crazy. She said there was no need to just chop it all off, so she made a suggestion and said she could always cut more if I wanted. I'm glad she was the voice of reason. As she washed my hair she educated me a bit on hair, because she took extra courses to cut curly hair. She blow dried my hair, straightened it, then cut it. Never in my life has anyone ever cut my hair dry, and never have I ever had a cut this good. She was thorough, understanding, and reassuring. Once it was cut she styled it. As much as I hate not having my long hair, I received so many compliments. I'm so thankful to Maddie for talking me out of just giving up and giving me an amazing cut. This place also gets bonus points for having Netflix on, modern music, not being insanely noisy, and not being a boring old stuffy salon. The price is fantastic for what I got and I will return. read more

Terrible experience! I am a Blowout addict and frequent visitor of the dry bar in Houston... Every time I have gone to the dry bar my hair has turned out perfect so I've never had a reason to go anywhere else. This morning however, I needed a last minute blow out and didn't feel like making the 45 minute drive to Houston so I decided to try dry style. I showed the girl multiple pictures of the style I was going for... All I wanted was down and wavy. This is definitely not the style I got! I left looking like Shirley temple and an hour later all the curls were gone. On top of my hair looking terrible I was also shocked to have a 45.00 bill instead of the expected 35.00 blowout. I wouldn't consider myself to have long hair at all.... When I checked out the girl explained that hair that touches your bra strap is considered to be long. Biggest waste of my 45.00 plus tip! Don't try this place unless you feel like throwing away your money! read more

Never again. I asked up front what my charge would be and was told $185. This was for low lights, root touch and a trim. My bill was $315. My grays started to come through the following week. The trim was good. They need to be very clear when the price increases during service. read more

Given the fact that I knew I couldn't do the job, it wasn't hard for me to put my faith in you! However, I can see how unnerving a BIG reveal at the end would be for some ladies... So, if you are one of those ladies, you may want to bring your own mirror! I'll be back next time I need to look fabulous. After hearing my aunt (a happy frequently returning customer) rave about this place I decided I would give it a try. I didn't make an appointment but after getting my nails done I noticed there was not a sole inside so I assumed there wouldn't be an issue. Sadly I was mistaken, which is very unfortunate for Dry Style as I was interested in becoming a returning customer along with a handful of friends eagerly awaiting my feedback. Upon entering the EMPTY store at 4:34pm on Saturday I was greeted by a man at the front desk, who informed me that they were closing in an hour so would I like to make an appointment for another day? Not only did he turn down a customer but his attitude suggested he was appalled that I dare walk in at 4:30 on a Saturday, and almost embarrassed me. I looked again at the hours posted on the door, checked my phone for the time and checked the salon again to make sure I wasn't blind and that there was in fact not a single sole there and kindly declined his invitation to make an appointment. I'm definitely not an unfair person if the salon would have been somewhat busy and I walked in too close to closing I would have gladly made an appointment for the next day but I was extremely disappointed in the level of customer service or lack there of for that matter. Not only was is actually an hour and thirty minutes until posted closing time but there were no other customers even in there. He made the impression he had somewhere more important to be and he wasn't going to let me or my business stand in his way. Now I'm not a business major but I don't believe that is the proper way to treat your customers. Needless to say I won't be returning nor will my aunt in our eyes customer service earns business and there is plenty of competition that is willing to deliver the customer service this place lacks. read more

i came here based on a recommendation from a friend. i waited 40 minutes before we started. i asked for a hairstyle which was communicated on the phone before my appointment. because of the wait i saw someone else who could not do it. they said there was time to wash and blow dry but i couldn't exactly trust their sense of time. there was not a mirror to see what was happening which is fine just not to keen on surprises like this. although, there was no time to fix it if it needed to be because i didn't factor in such a long wait time. our evening was rushed and hectic. i also had an appointment for another service which i didn't fully get because of time. that lady showed up an hour after i was supposed to see me bc she had an issue with someones color. if you aren't in a rush i would recommend it. my hair itself looked fine. i'll stick to my regular place. read more
