If you're in the Berkshires for nature or a cultural event you're not going to want to pass up a trip to this little gem of a pâtisserie. The croissants were buttery and flaky and could have been easily consumed with melt in your mouth goodness without any accompaniment. However, it's hard to pass up the combination of butter, raspberry preserves and chocolate. I also purchased pain au chocolat, a brioche breakfast sandwich, macaron, café au lait, and a strawberry lemonade. This young chef owner is doing great things well on a small scale. This place is a TREASURE! If you want to feel as if you've been transported to Paris while in the Berkshires then GO! The croissants and pain au chocolat are as good as the best in France. And the vibe is amazing. The cutest merchandise from jam spoons to lamb ears and you can sit outside under an umbrella or a heat lamp. My only wish would be open more days and later in the afternoons. I can't wait to order a cake for the next birthday in my family. read more

There is no place in the Berkshires quite like The Lost Lamb. This delightful French bakery offers delectable pastries and breads: the blueberry crumble, croissants, and lemon blueberry loaf cake are my particular favorites. The menu changes daily, but there is usually a breakfast croissant, a lunch sandwich, and a soup of the day, as well as a range of teas, coffees, and cold drinks. The chef/owner and the rest of her staff have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the service is excellent. Sitting outside, from late spring through the leaf season, is an especial treat. The tiny shop even offers jams, lemon curd, local honey, coffees, teas, and a few well-chosen Stockbridge souvenirs to take home, whether to enjoy yourself or use for hostess/bread-and-butter gifts. read more

We enjoyed a yummy chocolate chip, hazelnut and white chocolate chip cookie. As you walk into this bakery the aroma of butter and a sugar is everywhere. We also enjoyed coffee and a chocolate croissant. This place is adorable. It's a great way to end the day. read more

Not understanding the hype here.. adorable interior and logo swag for sale ... tried a plain croissant, pain au chocolat, wanted an almond croissant but was told they only bake those on weekends, also took a slice of the strawberry shortcake along with an iced oat milk latte. Nothing stellar, bone dry pastries with not a hint of butter. Also took a BLT and the bacon was barely noticeable and the brioche bread was also very very cardboard dry. Didn't notice the chef in the back but young bakers were present. The latte was watery and weak too. Sorry, but I will stick to other bakeries in this locale that serve far better pastries than this. I think the chef needs to be more hands on at her patisserie because her staff is over baking the goods. read more

Love this little coffee shop. Great coffee in a great cup! Love the pastry too. The atmosphere is lovely and so is the owner.

Literally this is a slice of heaven on Earth. The owner/chef is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Institute in Paris, and it shows in every bite. As great as the pastries are, it's THE DRINKS that are not to be missed!!! Support local especially when it's 10,000x better than anything you could buy at Starbucks...just sayin. I have been going to Lost Lamb almost weekly since they opened in February 2020. LL is not just one of the best bakeries in the area, but one of the best bakeries in the region (and am including NYC here). Claire's pastries are spectacular - top notch ingredients and flavors that are showcased vs. sickly sweet desserts to cover up poor quality ingredients. Her staples are fantastic: choc chip cookies, croissants and wonderful sandwiches (the breakfast one is divine); and her rotating/new pastries are always wonderful. She has baked all of our family birthday cakes for close to two years and they are always amazing. I love that we are supporting a young, female entrepreneur and one who is so talented as a pastry chef and a business owner. read more

Love this cute spot! Smells and looks amazing when you walk in. Came here twice this weekend and was wowed both times by the service, atmosphere, food, and beverages. They're known for their baked goods but the mozzarella sandwich was KILLER. Lost Lamb wasn't around when I was last in Stockbridge in 2018 and I'm so so happy that it joined the community. If you're looking for authentic french- this is not the place for you. Aside from the aesthetic, this bakery is filled with sysco croissants and a limited variety of unattractive cakes. I could get a better croissant from the freezer section at the dollar store. read more
