Such a gem!! Can't wait until they reopen!! I will be there!! They have an excellent selection, the sorbets are always really good too. It's actually hard to choose between the yummy flavors. One surprisingly delicious flavor is green apple sorbet- I'll admit that I have gone home with an extra for the freezer for another time. I went here for the first time last night with some littles because I found out that they had a few vegan options. I have a few issues/concerns with the shop. You can sample the flavors, but the catch is that you have to self-serve it into the given cup and then somehow eat it out of the cup. I went to the front of the store to get a spoon and was told (politely) that spoons were not allowed back by the froyo dispensers. Interesting. I'm used to being able to either have a clerk put a small amount into a mini-taster cup or having the ability to do that on my own. Well, we filled our cups with fro-yo and toppings bc you know the littles love the assortment of toppings. They don't take apple-pay. I did not see any signage with that information. Hmmm. Again, the clerk was very polite and no issues with him. Without going into all of the details we were able to have our fro-yo about 15-20 minutes later. My vegan fro-you was fine, but I probably would have enjoyed it more if I didn't have the aforementioned problems. There is nice seating in the front of the shop. read more

BEST frozen yogurt in SB by a long shot. For one thing, you don't have to mess with downtown or parking. I never knew it existed until last month because I rarely go to that Rite Aid and I'm never exiting that lot on the Hope Ranch side of the lot. I figured it was brand new but apparently it's 8 years old. The yogurt is absolutely fantastic and it's better for you than Yogurtland (lower sugar and carb). The interior is so cute that I tend to sit there and eat my yogurt. The Tart flavor is Weight Watchers-approved (I don't do WW but apparently it's 2 points). Good prices too. I adore this place and it's close to Lazy Acres and Hendry's, where I go almost daily. read more

I'm so glad I finally got to try this wonderful yogurt shop!!! The location has such a charming, homey feel and the cutest decorations. It is located right by Super Cucas & the Montecito Pet Shop, in the Vons shopping center. Service was friendly and the shop is set up for self serve. I had a cup of Tahitian Vanilla, chocolate, and peanut butter. The vanilla and chocolate were delicious and the peanut butter was tasty and unique! Im obsessed with their overly large selection of toppings. I'm not kidding they literally must have over 50 at least. I couldn't stop piling up my cup I felt like an 8 year old lol. They have soooo many different types of candy, fruit, pieces of brownies, cheesecake, cookie dough, popping boba and condiments galore with whipped creams and sauces! Worst service ever! Went in with my friend to grab a delightful dessert. The blonde girl at the registered was super annoyed for no reason right as we walked up to pay. She didn't greet us at all. Great place to take granddaughters for some fun tasty frozen yogurt. They really enjoyed picking their own yogurt and toppings. The place is bright and clean with lots of flavors and toppings to pick from. Staff friendly and helpful; they will give you tiny sample cups to try any flavors, but the plain tart is still the best. When we visited it was a little noisy with lots of after school kids, but that just made it more fun. There are tables outside if you want to get away from the crowd when busy. read more

The Lovin' Spoonful sounds like a high end Soup Plantation, but really it's a delicious frozen yogurt spot on the Mesa. They always have plenty of flavors and seem to constantly rotate them without dropping the good ones. There are also plenty of toppings. I prefer the cake batter and any chocolate, mixed with chopped up Reece's cups, but if you need recommendations for frozen yogurt flavors, you're doing it wrong. The folks who work here are always very pleasant and more than willing to give out sample cups. The place is clean and pretty stylish, and the clientele is chill. This is the best self-serve yogurt shop in town. Everything about it is great, except the absent-minded staff and few gross flavors like carrot. The flavors rotate often though, and I see the more popular ones like tart, chocolate, and cake batter stick around. Smart move. Today there was graham cracker flavored yogurt, which was low. This place is amazingly good. Slightly expensive for froyo but its worth it. Be sure to try the Italian Tart. It's smoother , less of I'd feeling and a tad sweeter than original tart. I'd recommend having liquid marshmallow to put as a topping. read more

I've walked past this place so many times, thinking it would be a pinkberry knockoff, and it wasn't very dog friendly since pooches need to be left outside. One day out of boredom and curiosity, I popped in, and was surprised at the layout. Basically, in the back of the store, they have a whole wall of different flavors of yogurt and sorbet's, from chocolate, vegan, and sugar free flavors to choose from. It's more of a self serve style place and you buy by the ounce. I loved being able to experiment with different flavors in one bowl! They have a topping bar too, and really cool spoons. Awesome place. Self serve yogurt, sorbet, and toppings, modern style seating, and a wide color pallet on the decor make it a nice way to secure some probiotics. The only downsides are a lack of kiwi in the toppings section and fresh baked artisan goods that their website said they had but they get a pass cause they're new. All flavors are hormone and antibiotic free which is good for everyone cows included. Only cookies and cream and thin mint cookies contain gluten and cookies and cream is the only sore thumb that contains high fructose corn syrup. They took the time to mention the active probiotic cultures in their yogurts with a glass plaque on the wall, of which tart has twice as many as the rest at 300-400 million per gram.
