Tiny, but ok selection of most things, except for Chobani Flips (which I was too afraid to buy), I dont know if they sell any fresh meat, they had processed meats (also, which I didn't buy or even look at.) Only one kind of eggs: store brand 12 pack, no Egglands Best omega 3 eggs for anyone in town. Most of the fresh produce looked pretty good, as did the bagged salads and lettuce blends in back of the others. The ones in front were pretty not good. Prices on some things store wide were really, really high ($7 for 28 tampons) Some things were priced really low (.69 cilantro! Dried spice form, I dont think they sell it fresh) a mixed bag of unpredictableness in pricing and selection. . If I lived in this town, sure I'd shop there. But I wouldn't like it, and maybe I'd go full vegetarian. Located walking distance from a truck stop (if you dont get caught by the railroad police and forced to go around the train tracks the long way, instead of zipping straight across them and turning left;)), or you can get delivery by instacart, but be careful on the prepped, bagged produce. That stuff isn't all fresh and rosy. Make sure you put instructions in there for your personal shopper to grab you a bag from behind all the ones in front if you go that route.

However, there are a few annoying things: 1. a regular "Greek gods" yogurt is almost always missing. All they offer is fat-free yogurt which I hate, or honey yogurt which has a lot of sugar in it. I have to go to Open Harvest just because I need a regular Greek Gods yogurt. 2. They used to sell fresh olives which I loved, but not any more. I have to go now to other markets to buy them. 3. A few years ago they were selling wonderful fresh French baguettes. But then they started to put them in plastic bags which spoil bread completely. Everything else in their bakery is not good. I don't buy bread in their bakery anymore.

When I talked to the director he told me I would receive the 45 hours a week as I was getting at SuperSaver, so I transfer knowing he would get me 45 hours a week. As week went by, I was only getting 37-40 hours. I talked to home office about this issue I had with him telling me before I took the transfer that he told me that he would get me 45 hours. He then talked to me after he got a call from home office about it and he told me I needed to talk to him, but i did get closer to being scheduled 45 hours. I talked to coworkers that have worked there for awhile under him saying that he doesn't follow up with his word. I was offered a full-time job by another employee, and told him that I was giving 2 weeks notice for him to find a new Assistant Service Manager. I mentioned that I wanted to stay with B&R part-time as a cashier but I wanted to transfer to a different Russ's that was closer to where I live. I did something that wasn't "right" being a associate for B&R which i didn't get told about when I switched from SuperSaver to Russ's. He ended up terminated my employment with B&R Stores so then I couldn't get transferred to another Russ's. This is the first time I ever did any thing wrong in the store, and I should've just been coached about it. I felt he was retaliated against me for talking to home office about my hours. As for the Service Manager that I was under, he was worthless as a Service Manager. He couldn't make No Decisions even simple ones of his own without going to the director. He didn't have no guts to tell Service Supervisor to do anything. He would just let them do there own thing. That was another thing was that this store had just as many if not more Supervisors than cashiers. Really this store should have only 2 Supervisors along with the managers of the front end not 6 Supervisors with 2 managers. As for a couple Supervisor that I assisted in managing, I would have customers complaints about them a few times when I was there. When I would mentioned that to the manager and the director every time I had a talk with this supervisor they seem to just blow it off. This store needs almost a complete overhaul on the front end The reason I say almost is that there are cashiers that work very hard and they do as they are told. And as for the director, he is not store managing material with him not keeping his word with employees and even how rude I seen him act with customers.

This is a complaint about the conditions of the handicap stall in the store at 27th and pine lake…read moreroad. Super saver. Several times in the past 4 weeks I have gone into this store to shop for food. I'm an old guy about 72 years old. Have to use the restroom quite often. Sometimes. Went into the restroom at the store several times in the past month. Complain each time about the handicap toilet stool being in not 100% customer friendly. The issue is the flap that you sit on in the handicap stall is for lack of a better word broken. One of the nuts that holds the lid stationary is missing. So the flap moves from side to side several in. I have discovered that one of the of the times I went in there there was feces on the lid from somebody slipping and probably falling in that stall? Not for sure about that but when you have poop on the stool and a messy stool on the inside. That's what I think? I have talked to the management several times through this process. So far nothing has gotten done. I also don't understand when you own a business you cannot speak to a real person to file a complaint if the management in that store is not complying. Also yes I did mention that I was going to file a complaint if it does not get fixed. Yes I was in there today also and it's still not fixed. I will file another complaint if it's not fixed the next time I go through. I deleted the photo I did take for that manager. So next time I'm in there I will take another photo if it's still broken.

I had heard from a friend that Main Street Market had cute Amish rugs so I figured it would be worth a stop and if there weren't food options, I'd move on. Not only did they have cute rugs, they had groceries, home decor, homemade foods (including frozen pie crusts, yummy bread, cookie dough), canned foods, furniture...lots of goodies. And they also had a deli! All the sandwiches had a railroad theme to them with some traditional and some unique combinations. I had the Lizard Scorcher which included roast beef and Swiss topped with a spread of hot pepper jelly. It was fantastic! And the bread is thick, fresh and homemade. I grabbed a drink from the cold case and chips from one of the aisles, and sat outside in one of the handmade rockers and took in the beautiful, breezy afternoon. This is a family owned business. It sounds like the family moved here from Missouri, saying on their website: "We had always shopped at bulk food stores back in Missouri. We missed the old-fashioned products we could find there, such as homemade noodles and Dutch cocoa powder. We especially missed the lower prices on everyday items such as spices, pastas, gelatins, and baking supplies. So back to our home area we went to do a little research on the bulk food stores there. If a store of that type was appreciated in Missouri, surely Milford, Nebraska would benefit from one, too, we thought. Thus, it became a family endeavor, and Main Street Market opened its doors May 1st, 2015." I would say this place is worth a visit if you're in town or even if you feel like a road trip. I'd love to return and pick up some homemade crusts for the holidays and maybe even some gifts. They have these beautiful, colorful baskets all around the store that I almost took home.
