I have been there twice now with co-workers, the first time I had a cheeseburger and my friend had a gyro. The burger was more bun and lettuce than anything and the fries were barely done, I'm told the gyro meat was okay but there was so much sauce it was difficult to eat and that's really all you tasted. First of all, this is a small little quick service type of place. These people on here slamming it for being exactly what it is-a fast food shop, need to keep some perspective here. Are you getting a Michelin rated meal? No of course not, it's a beef/burger shop come on! What you will get is tasty cheap food and a LOT of it. A few coworkers and I come here from time to time and it always hits the spot. The 2 hot dog spevial comes with an impossible amount of fries bundled with each dog. We usually split one special and are pefectly content. Gyros here are also big enough to be shared for lunch too. It took them an hour and a half for them to bring the food, when they had said it would be 30 min. I am trully only 7 min away driving. There are a couple of fast food restaurants in the area of varying menus and quality. This place currently has hands down the best gyros sandwich around. I've searched and sampled gyros sandwiches from just about every fast food restaurant that offers them in the neighboring towns. The pita tasted fresh and was cooked just right. The gyro meat appeared to be hand carved. Some places use something akin to electric clippers that produce a paper thin and dried out meat. But that's not the case here. The meat is juicy, and hand carved thick. The outside is crisp. I ordered it with everything. The onions were sliced thin and the tomatoes were two half circles. The tzatziki sauce is just right. All of these components blended together to compose a baller gyros sandwich. I indulged with a side order of fries. Those were cooked to a pale golden color and were just under crispy. The fry they serve are of the crinkle cut variety. I'll be going back and if you like gyros, Then you must give this place a try! read more

The food is great for a fast food place. Everything is fresh. I've had the hamburger (which is a real hamburger, unlike other fast food places), the hot dog and the gyro salad. The salads are so large you will get 2 meals out of them. The fries are my favorite part! They are fresh and crisp and you get plenty of them with your meal - so many I usually cannot finish them. I eat here often since its close to work. I would highly recommend it! The prices are good and compared to other fast food joints in the area - you are getting a much better, fresher and larger meal. The staff is friendly and since I visit often, they remember me. That's a nice feeling. The drive through speakers aren't the greatest and sometimes you have to repeat yourself, hey I've encountered that at other drive thrus. This review has been a long time coming for this place.... I have been there 5 times since they first opened in broadview maybe about 2-3 years ago, each time leaving with yet another disappointment and I'm ashamed of it because I've never had a complaint about the one in Berwyn. I typically order the same thing each time which is the double big daddy cheese burger. And always end up waiting 7-12 minutes in the drive thru. My first trip there I order my burger plain ( as always) and it comes with everything on it once I realize it I loop around back to the drive thru to wait another 7 minutes for them to make it again. My second time there they forgot my mozzarella sticks and I didn't realize it until I got home. Well that sucks I don't wanna take the 7 minute drive back there for over priced mozzarella sticks. My third trip there really frustrated me. I switched up my order and decided to go with a few cheese dogs.... These inconsiderate employees working there folded slices of American cheese, put it on my dog and stuck it in the microwave. UNREAL... My fourth trip there I ordered the usual big daddy cheeseburger and instead of putting gyros meat on it they put bacon on it instead. No big deal there I just ate it, was just unhappy because I over payed for a double bacon cheeseburger. My most recent trip which was today had me livid because this was the last straw with this place and it wasn't even my choice to go there... I had a decent sized order 28$ worth but they forgot my large chicken noodle soup, and they put grilled onions on my burger. Seriously how hard is it to make a plain double cheeseburger????? I've Eaten at Lucky Dog for as long as I can remember. My family was so excited to see that they finally opened up a location a little closer to our home. Everything is delicious, they have such a vast menu that there is something for everyone. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they were even giving away free samples of pizza and Italian ice! I was amazed to see that they have added to their large menu and now serve pizza and pasta and now they deliver!!!! You can really order anything and not go wrong. @Adam M. You obviously a little too upset you received the wrong soda and the gyro is my favorite!!!!! This Lucky Dog has a great location and we will definitely be frequenting it more often now that it is closer to home! I live literally a block a way from lucky dog. When I found out there was going to be a lucky dog so close I was excited. So one day I go to get lunch for the family. All I can say is I'll never be going back again. Worst food we have ever eaten. I had the worst tasting gyro in the world. I think the special sauce was just sour cream - maybe even old sour cream it was that bad. She had a cheeseburger. She said she wouldn't have fed it it to the dog it was so horrible. She took two bites and couldn't eat it anymore. My son had a hot dog that looked like they got it from 7-11 and it had been sitting out for two or three days. Just disgusting.....Even the soda was bad. I ordered a root beer took a sip in my car and told her there is something wrong with it. She gave me a Mr. Pibb but that was worse then the root beer.
