to the absolute hero that left this note in my door dash order today, thank you! I will remeber this for next time and continue eating here. It was my first time they are right by my favorite dispensary. The nachos were nice and fresh not soggy upon arrival and looked amazing before I tore them up like a feral racoon.

I prefer this place over Portillo's. We tried the dogs, the Italian beef, and the green salad. The Italian beef was really great! We were able to get peppers and the dip on the side which was the best call. Chicago dogs are delicious and way better than Portillo's. Same goes for the chili dogs, so delicious. The Greek salad however did not do it for me. Don't get that when you come here. Stick to the meats and what they're good at. Overall, will be back again and again.

The place is called Joey's RED HOTS. Why anyone would order anything other than hot dogs at a place like this is beyond me. Good Chicago style dogs, quick accurate service, adequate parking, I couldn't ask for more. Don't blame the restaurant for the delivery service. That's just not fair, delivery services range from fair (DoorDash) to dismal (GrubHub, my nephew). You want accurate service from a fast food joint, you need to come in yourself. That's the way to order and eat a Chicago dog anyway. Across the way from the Kaminski Funeral Home, and if there's one thing that can help a little if your family is doing a funeral, it's a Chicago style hot dog. Funerals are so hard, on the worst day of your life you have to be at your best for all the guests wonderful enough to show up and pay their respects. Eating a Chicago dog is the exact opposite, you do not have to behave well, it doesn't matter what other people think, and it feels good. The number 2 combo is two dogs with everything, fries, and a soda.

Walk-in and enjoy the sweet smell of savory grilled onions. Joeys serves them up big-time! You're here to grab a tasty 'Maxwell Polish'. A classic two-fisted sandwich loaded with mustard, peppers and onions that gets the job done! As good as the 'Original'...

Popped in midday yesterday because yay it's finally open and y'all know I love a Chicago hot dog. The parking lot seems tiny for the amount of customers they have, but I had no trouble grabbing a spot. As crowded as it was, I didn't have to wait in line and our order came out in a couple minutes hot and fresh. The young lady that took my order was friendly. There were lots of people working behind the counter, the place was clean, and happy employees means Joey's is already doing something right. The most important part of this review is obviously the hot dog. Killer. Poppyseed bun perfectly steamed, appropriately topped as a Chicago dog should be, and the dog had a nice lil snap. The fries are great(crinkle cut) and I definitely recommend trying the loaded fries. Remember when Portillo's was consistently good? Here's a fantastic replacement. For seating, go on a nice day and grab a table outside. Inside is fine for grab and go and they do have tables outside with umbrellas. We'll definitely be back.

Burritos the size of a half loaf of bread…read more In looking around Brookfield for a place to eat at before we hit up Galloping Ghost Arcade, every online comment pointed to trying Taco Azteca. My dad was down for some tacos so we hit up Taco Azteca before we got to gaming. I actually drove by the place, missing the turn to get there due to the strange parking lot situation. After a loop around the block, we pull in to the shared parking lot and headed inside. My dad was looking at the menu on the drive up and was waffling between a taco salad and a burrito. Once I placed my order for a beef burrito, my dad followed up with the same thing. We tried to find a place to sit but the place isn't too conducive to eating in with the few tables they had were either taken or dirty from the prior visitor. The staff was super nice and friendly in trying to get a table cleaned up for us. We ended up snagging one and were promptly served tortilla chips with some of the best guacamole I have ever had. I'm not big on guac as I find it to taste too similar to pumpkin (everyone I tell this looks at me like I am crazy) but this stuff was delicious and had a nice kick to it. My dad found the sauce in one of the bottles to be spicy as hell and passed on using more of it. I found them to be quite yummy but I love me some heat. We nearly devoured half the chips by the time the food came out. They were that good and the food came out that fast. I'm used to Mexican-sized burritos but these might take the cake. They were MASSIVE. I showed everyone I know and their eyes got huge when they saw how big it was. The fries that came with it were those with the little bits of batter on them and I knew they were going to be good. I knew we were in for a good time. How do you even eat something that big? Very slowly and somewhat messy, that's how. I devoured half my tasty fries to free up space on my plate just in case I made a mess. Luckily, this burrito held itself together rather nicely. The burrito was super tasty but I do feel like maybe a chicken or pork version would've been better. I like beef but wasn't in the mood for it when I ate my burrito. That's on me though for not paying attention when ordering and accidentally getting beef. My dad loved his burrito and was able to put the whole thing down since he didn't eat breakfast. I had breakfast so I was only able to put down a little over half. My bottomless pit of a stomach isn't so bottomless now that I am almost 40 (a week shy of 39 during this visit). Overall, Taco Azteca lived up to the hype and was worth every bite. I really wanted to get some of the guac to go. My only warning is that the parking lot is shared and can be tight as well as the seats inside. This place serves better for carry-out if it's busy like it was when we were there.

This ties into the excellent service, as the food came out relatively quickly. The staff was friendly and engaged in conversation. One standout employee, Jose, continually checked to ensure that we had everything we needed and addressed any issues we had promptly. The ambience was clean, with staff wearing gloves while cooking. They were consistently cleaning, wiping down tables, and sweeping the floors. These are just a few aspects I look for when visiting a restaurant or food establishment.

If there's one thing I know from my brief life, it's never piss off a Mexican…read more Using that mantra, I've pissed off the Burrito Gods. I cheated on El Farol with this closer place (just by two blocks) and it's been two days and those BGs are still beating me up. I swung in here after an insanely hectic week at work that was not gonna get better anytime soon. Utilizing the free night I may have for the next sixteen months, I was determined to hit up The Jug and needed food. Well, I thought for the sake of Yelping someplace new, I' d hit it. And now it's whooping me up hardcore. The beef tacos are small. Four bites worth of greasy meat that really didn't do it for me. Even with sour cream, avocado and lettuce. I moved on to the Widowmaker- the Chicken Burrito. I figured it out, Burritos are like penises. They come in many different sizes and there can be more than burrito that is pleasing. I found the Stumper. A hand and a half wide and only the size of my hand, this stomach destroyer looked impressive if taking the prior into account. That's where the fun ends. By the end of my fourth bite, a map of Hawaii was left on my tray and luckily not on me. The grease that spilled out was a warning sign that I chose to ignore. I continued with this super messy penisburrito. I had it finished in ten minutes and needed twenty napkins to wipe the destroyer off of my face. So what I have learned: I learned that when you find a place that serves an amazing burrito, at amazing hours, you don't cheat on 'er. No, you don't. Until then, find me curled up in bed, next to a picture of myself with an El Farol burrito.
