    S'mores Latte

What a little gem! This tiny coffee shop and a huge offering!!! The menu is extensive with lots of options. I got a s'mores iced latte and it was delicious! It's not just wonderful drinks too, the food there is also amazing. I got a breakfast sandwich and they used CLE bagel, it was sooo delicious and filling! Would recommend and worth a drive!

The food was hot and delicious, and so was the coffee. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and the service was excellent. Dining area is small, but fits the aesthetic of a coffee shop, with a cute little gift shop next door. Lots of food and drink options...in fact, the only problem I had was trying to make a decision on what to order! Definitely plan to return!

Danielle liked her pickle-chicken sandwich and seemed disappointed that i don't want to go back, so i'll probably have to relent at some point and just get French Toast and go into diabetic shock. oooohh, i forgot. i also ordered a cup of the corn chowder (soup of the day). it wasn't great and corn was the least plentiful ingredient in it. i'd call it more of a potato and bacon chowder w/ corn casually tossed in.

Fun to draw on their tables. Exciting list of cafe beverages. Friendly service even when busy.read more

Check Please Cafe - This chocolate peanut butter pie (sugar-gluten free) satisfied my friend's dietary requirements. I would have gone the "traditional" route!

Being there with 3 young children this was unacceptable. The waitress said sorry for the wait and then gave us the bill with no discounts or consideration for the lengthy wait. I had already walked out to the car and the manager happened to approach some of our group and offered us gift cards for the inconvenience. Bc of this I withheld reviewing until we could visit at another time. Considering the food was pretty good for a local place. I had tried the salmon blt. On our second visit we went on a Thursday evening and it happened to be $2 taco night. It was great for the kids. We ordered a tortilla chip trio with salsa, guacamole and cheese dip. The tacos came with meat and cheese with lettuce on the side. On request you could also have a side of sour cream, pico and salsa. Overall a much better experience. The outdoor area was very nice and the staff was very attentive and great with bringing plastic plates and extra napkins for the kids without us asking. Glad we came back to give them another try.

We were pretty full from a big lunch we had earlier, so we ordered some appetizers. I love soft pretzels and this one was delicious. It was huge! The cheese wasn't great for dipping though, it seemed to settle pretty quick. I also had the mozzarella sticks which were good. We expected it to be pretty busy since it was trivia night but it wasn't crowded at all. We had so much fun for trivia night. We won both games and loved the prizes of the shirts, coozies, and gift card. We definitely want to go back again for trivia night.

Blue Rooster Bakehouse - Oberlin, Ohio Driving through…read moreOberlin, I was looking for a good cup of coffee and decided to stop in at Blue Rooster Bakehouse. The menu is written on a chalkboard, and there's a display case showing off all their fresh pastries and treats. I was hoping for something savory, and the barista mentioned the only option was a cheese croissant. It wasn't shaped like a traditional croissant, but the dough was flaky and buttery, filled with jalapeño and cream cheese, and finished with a sprinkle of salt on top -- surprisingly delicious. I ordered a Doppio, which I later learned is a double shot of espresso. It was strong, smooth, and paired perfectly with my pastry. I also picked up a slice of gluten-free banana bread for my husband. They had about four gluten-free/vegan options available, and everything looked freshly baked. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the space itself was cozy, seating around 15 people. However, accessibility could be an issue -- the narrow layout and tight walkway would make it difficult for anyone using a wheelchair to navigate. My total came to around $12, which felt reasonable for a specialty coffee and baked goods treat. Overall, it's a charming little spot with quality coffee and friendly service -- a place I'd return to when I'm in the area and want to splurge a little.

We finally settled on oatmeal cookie (man it's so good), fig/goat cheese/pear pastry, berry pastry, americano, and a chai latte with oat milk. We had a blast eating outdoors at the picnic bench, nice breeze even on an August morning! If we're ever in town again, this will be our Go To spot for sure.
