I saw Nicole Fugo for acupuncture to help me with a variety of health issues, from anxiety to depression to knee pain. I went to the Luma Center Acupuncture after years of infertility and failed pregnancies. I was ready to give up and looking for a way to allow my body to heal emotionally and physically from all of the hormones. After the first few visits, my body felt recharged and amazing. With several treatments down, I became pregnant. During pregnancy I visited the Luma Center weekly and I truly believe my treatments helped sustained my pregnancy and we delivered and healthy baby. I've worked with Nika at the Luma Center for a couple of years now-- first to assist in my fertility journey, and then continued on to receive support during my pregnancy. Really loved my experience at The Luma Center! Super conveniently located just north of downtown Petaluma, the studio felt welcoming, warm and community-focused. I enjoyed an excellent yoga class, and found the teacher and owner truly welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and down-to-earth. I have been seeing Brianna since fall 2021 for pain related to endometriosis and related surgery, as well as a persistent hamstring injury. I was new to acupuncture and skeptical but I had relief from the very first treatment. It is not painful at all and I fall asleep on the table most of the time, and finish sessions feeling relaxed, restored, and with diminished pain. I still see her not because she hasn't been helpful but because new issues arise. This is not a cure all and you may have to seek supplemental treatment via physical therapy, medical massage, etc. My only complaint is that I wish Brianna was there more often as it can be difficult to (re) schedule appointments. read more

I go to the Luma Center for prenatal yoga. It seems to be one of the only places in Petaluma I can find. You can buy a 10 class pass for $130 which makes the yoga classes $13 class (not bad) which is probably what I should have done, but I'm far enough along enough now I don't think I'll make it to 10 more classes. Otherwise the classes are $16 which I feel is just a tad high. I really like the prenatal yoga class though. It's very slow and challenging. I'm used to a faster pace yoga and this forces me to slow down which I think is very beneficial in pregnancy. I enjoy the beginning of the class where we go around and share a little about ourselves. It's always fun being around other pregnant women. The yoga room is also very bright and clean with plenty of props. My 2 complaints are that I wish it were a tad more affordable and that the music was a tad bit louder. Otherwise I think this is a great little yoga studio and I'll continue to visit. read more

I have participated in yoga sessions offered in their beautiful studio, as well as taken classes with in-field experts on everything from empowerment in health choices, to baby sleep techniques, to understanding herbal alternatives for immune boosting! The Luma Center is an all encompassing community resource that has quickly become indispensable in my life.
