We spent the morning at the Phoenix Zoo and wanted to grab something quick for lunch before heading back to our house in Mesa. It seems to cater to the business crowd in the surrounding office buildings, but the ramp made parking very convenient and I'd encourage anyone to check it out. All five of us enjoyed our sandwiches. I had the Italian, and was amazed how many ingredients and flavors they were able to squeeze in without making it a fall-apart mess. Seemed to be the consensus at the table. You could definitely tell the side of potato salad was fresh. It was a little drier than most, but still had good flavor with a touch of dill. The service was friendly and fast. Sandwhiches were really good, you get what you pay for, and at better quality than chains. Service was good and fast considering how busy it was. Disappointed to not see a single mask. LGBTQ+ folks be advised--came in with my gf and those inside would not stop staring. Felt the eyes of many crusty middle aged men on us the entire time and was uncomfortable. Needless to say we did not eat in the store. Also, some guy was talking proudly and loudly about his job with an extremist right wing political group. I've been coming here for my morning bagel 2-4 times a week for a year & a half now. Gabe always makes my bagel just right, Joe puts on as much butter as I like & always has good weather talk & Mayra is just the nicest person to talk to & always takes your order down correctly. Found this tucked away casual lunch restaurant by YELP while we were traveling. They have lots of sandwich and salad options at reasonable prices. Service is quick and friendly. Very clean, including the restroom. Sign in restroom instructs staff to wash up to the elbows with antibacterial soap! Someone in charge must have background in nursing or medicine! The menu was very simple and straightforward so it was easy to find something and order. The staff were nice and I didn't even notice the wait with how quickly they had made my sandwich. I have visited The Lunch Lounge 3 times since one of their workers stopped by my office and dropped off a menu and some yummy cookies. The first time I wasn't sure what to expect so I got a Ceasar Salad hold the Ceasar please. It was okay, the chicken was good and none of the leafy greens were in bad condition. I guess I was expecting a wow factor when it came to the $6 salad I had received. they do brew Starbucks so I had decided to get one of my favorites. Hazelnut latte... only they were out of the Hazelnut Syrup. I instead got a caramel latte. Not my favorite, but it would do. My second visit I was very excited to try one of their specialty sandwiches the Deluxe Roast Beef Press (only with 9 grain instead of sourdough) ! However when I arrived they had run of or roast beef, but I was told they were expecting their shipment to arrive tomorrow. Still hungry and not wanting to wait till tomorrow to eat I decided to try the Vegetarian Delight. $8.00 later my meal was... okay. Good sized, but in the end not what I was really hoping for when I had first came. Today I went to give it one more try. I got the Sandwich "your way" which I ordered Roast Beef, imported Swiss, on 9 grain with Lettuce and Spicy brown mustard. I also got a huge chocolate chip cookie and a Caramel Macchiato to wash it down. A total that came to $13.38. I arrived at my office and to my surprise my 9 grain bread turned into Sourdough - My least favorite bread... To say the least I really wanted to like this place, but I am not blow away by The Lunch Lounge. Got in a little too early to drop off a friend at the airport and found this place, which is a leisurely drive from the airport. This place is surprisingly good. I'd recommend parking in the garage, since the deli is located on side facing the garage and is thus, easier to find. The service was great, as our orders were taken and food promptly made and provided to us. Staff was very friendly and the quality of ingredients made me realize how ingredients can mean big things for even the simplest of dishes (grilled cheese in my case). Great location, great staff, good food made for easy traveling for my friend. No complaints and will go again once I happen across the Sky Harbor area. read more

I visited this restaurant because I got a groupon now deal. When I walked In and the older woman standing there took about 5 minutes to acknowledge that I was standing there at the counter waiting to be served.. Finally she said "whenever your ready..". I told her hi how are you, giving her a nice reminder that that is how your supposed to greet new customers in your establishment. That on its own turned me off because I hate giving my money away tobusinesses that don't appreciate me. I don't feel like I am asking for much in exchange for coming back and supporting local businesses. As I was standing waiting for my food I overheard the employees (including my o so pleasnt serve lady) complaining about the groupons that kept coming in.. while I was standing there! Rude! What a find! While staying at the Aloft in Phoenix for business we found this on a morning walk. We had the breakfast burrito and a breakfast panini. Both were excellent! The burrito was so large we agreed that it could have fed us both. The lunch menu looked great and I would like to try some of the sandwiches. We are here for a few more days and will eat here on Monday. If you are staying at a hotel in this area be sure to give it a try for a good quick breakfast or lunch. I love this place. It's quick and convenient and within walking distance from work so I visit quite often. I like building my own sandwich, the lettuce is shredded and the meat is sliced very thin just as I like it! Everything is really fresh. I often get the garden salad (entrée size) and the lettuce is always SO crisp and they aren't stingy with toppings. I've also gotten the BLT and it's one of the best I've had, and loaded with perfectly-cooked bacon. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the chicken when I got it once. Everyone there is so friendly, especially the owner. Today I went in with a couple of co-workers and we saw a crazy special on the menu--bacon, peanut butter, Nutella, and bananas on Eggo waffles! We love the Lunch Lounge. The new owners that took over several months ago have made some great improvements to the menu, and more importantly the service. We work in an office near by and they are always willing to deliver our food to us. Sometimes it's a big order and other times, just a small order for breakfast. Either way they are very accommodating. We also love the new APP they use for frequent customers. The rewards are always within reach. Kudos to the new owners. I have met the family and they are very personable and always willing to please and do things better.
