Lunch with my wife on her birthday…read more She: fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, glass of white wine. Me: deviled eggs, Cuban sandwich with mac & cheese side, Schwartzbier lager. Appetizers were very good. She didn't care for the shrimp (a bit spicy, so we took it home for tomorrow's lunch. While the sandwich was good, it didn't seem like an authentic Cuban. Pulled pork filling. I took half of it and the mac&cheese home. Beer was very good; I hadn't heard of it before. It's from Milwaukee. Went to Laylo after for dessert/ $90 with tax and tip. It's a Resy restaurant, so I paid with Amex plat to get the credit. Excellent server.

I do use AI to write these easily, so pardon the clunkiness lol…read more The Food The menu here is a really cool take on elevated yet comfortable Southern food. After a few visits, I've tried a good variety of the menu: * **Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich:** This is served open-face and uses a mix of Sichuan and Calabrian chili. It is absolutely amazing, but fair warning: it is *hot*. Even if you're used to Sichuan spice, this one may still be tough to deal with, but it's still incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. Just keep in mind that they don't adjust the heat level for this one. * **The Greens:** These are wonderful. They have a rich, savory pork flavor and are easily a must-order for me every single time. * **Shrimp and Grits:** This has a fantastic sauce that strikes the perfect balance--not too heavy, but not watery either. My only minor wish is that they'd add some andouille sausage to it (even if raised the price), but it's still a really well-executed dish. * **Southern Pho:** Really great and super hearty. It's a comforting bowl, though probably best enjoyed during the winter months. * **Drinks:** The cocktails are always creative and well-made, and they keep a really interesting beer list on hand too. ### 2. The Ambience The vibe here is great. The interior feels like a charming, cozy little house you'd find in Savannah. I especially love the bar area, which has these really cool copper chandelier lights that give the space a warm, inviting glow. ### 3. The Service The staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming every single time I've been here. The Summary I honestly feel lucky to live close to this place. It doesn't get much love or mentions from the Atlanta social media crowd and local press (the good news is you won't encounter a lot of annoying people lol).. I'm a fan though.

Everything was outstanding, especially the egg. No wonder this is Michelin recommended! We then met chef Jared and he is amazing. The care and craft he puts in to his food makes sense hearing his stories, especially that he serves the art community with specialized food to match the art on display; what a cool concept! He even assisted us in buying a piece on display from a local artist. As yes, they have local art up on display - a great idea for a restaurant! Note for parking: use the valet. It's insane otherwise!

At first there was a mix up with who was serving us do we got explained the drink menu twice. After our appetizer, we waited about 30-40 minutes for the rest of our items which took longer than we thought. They did give us some house made popcorn to keep us busy. Jahjoy pork belly: Tasty & tendor. I loved the papaya salad which left a refreshing contrast. A bit too saucy for me. Flavors were strong. Squid ink bucatini: our favorite! Must get dish - bucatini is perfectly al dente & the spicy sauce was very flavorful. Jumbo shrimp was delicious, and the anchovy on top left a nice strong flavor. Red snapper: This has some Vietnamese influences with the sauce. It was a lighter dish which was just OK for me, I would have liked the fish to have a crispier skin. Not much flavor besides the sauce which is inspired by canh chua. Wagyu flank steak: cooked to perfection and flavored well, loved the celery puree which was much tastier than we expected celery to be. Dessert was mint chocolate cake which was very tasty. I wish the cake was softer and meltier in the center but it was still good. Malt gelato was delicious. Could def taste the mintiness. Creme pat along the edges was a nice add to the cake with cacao nibs and popcorn for a textural contrast. I enjoyed it!! Overall we had a great meal and could tell the ingredients were very fresh. The presentation for all the dishes was beautiful!! We can tell the chef puts care in his food :) Appreciated the personal touch - they gave a handwritten card to my husband for his birthday!

We ordered from the lunch specials menu, which we felt was a great deal. I had the Harvey Classic burger that came with seasoned fries. My father had the corn dog (Dawg) and mother had a burger as well. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and accurately. Everything was hot and delicious. I was so hungry I forgot to take any photos. Very satisfied with the meal. Service was friendly and professional. Our server checked on us enough. The indoor space is decorated with sports theme. Where I was sitting the walls were painted with World Cup pictures and jerseys. There were also three TVs: two showing World Cup games and the other showing a sports talk show. The outdoor picnic tables and rooftop area would be super in the cooler temperatures of evening.
