I had a late lunch here with my parents who were visiting from out of town. There were not many people in the place on a Thursday afternoon. We had our choice of tables. We ordered from the lunch specials menu, which we felt was a great deal. I had the Harvey Classic burger that came with seasoned fries. My father had the corn dog (Dawg) and mother had a burger as well. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and accurately. Everything was hot and delicious. I was so hungry I forgot to take any photos. Very satisfied with the meal. Service was friendly and professional. Our server checked on us enough. The indoor space is decorated with sports theme. Where I was sitting the walls were painted with World Cup pictures and jerseys. There were also three TVs: two showing World Cup games and the other showing a sports talk show. The outdoor picnic tables and rooftop area would be super in the cooler temperatures of evening. read more

I'm usually a Google reviews kind of gal, but I realized I never left one for The Harvey, and these days, they definitely deserve one. I don't know WHAT is happening in the kitchen back there, but they definitely kicked things up a notch because everything I had was FANTASTIC during my last 2 visits. The beignets are probably the best item on the menu, but to be honest, I don't have one complaint about the wings (I got Honey Hot and they were well-flavored and saucy, just like I like them), and their cheese pizza has always been great. Also had the cinnamon pretzels and they came hot and so good, especially with the side of cream cheese dip. The rooftop is always cute for a hang-out (and, contrary to the downstairs area, remains for those 21 and up). I can't think of a time where The Harvey is suggested, and I don't want to go so I hope they keep doing what they're doing, because it's one of my favorite spots to hang out in Chamblee. read more

Harvey!! You are so impressive looking at you from the street. That rooftop bar, lounge areas, indoor bar - all fanstic looking as you walk in, especially on a nice spring day. The rest goes downhill from there. It's a mix as to the staff, some are fantastic and fun to talk to while others seem unintrested in service, and I feel like the reason I'd come here is to be on the rooftop, but that's where things go sideways. Seems alot of everything needs to be brought from downstairs, the bar upstairs is sorta 'makeshift' and the staff usually leave it unattended for long periods of time. Me and my wife stopped by The Harvey on Superbowl Sunday around 3PM. We had a drink and sat at the bar for a little. I had never heard or knew of The Harvey before, but it's a really nice place! It's a pretty cool sports bar that also has a rooftop. It's located right in DT Chamblee near Chamblee Tap and Market. While we didn't have food, we looked at the menu to see what they had, and it all sounded pretty good! The service was excellent too. Our bartender, Alex, was super friendly and was always checking on us. We also met Beth too, and she was just as friendly too! We will definitely be back soon to dive into their food menu! So this little duck off spot is pretty decent on a nice day. It's best the heart of chamblee, and has a rooftop view to relax with. So you'll come and park, and parking's free. You will park and walk around and you can go on the inside and then you can go upstairs if you would like to. The inside has plenty of space and it has plenty of bar area as well. Be upstairs is covered and has TVs so you will be fine. If you want to watch your game or two. They have their own bar up there as well. It's not the same as a full size bar, but they do have the necessary provisions. I only had beer there but I did try a couple of bites. The menu does have a few things on there like wings and pizza and some other snacks. Not really an extensive menu, but I understand. Onion rings - they were super crispy and fresh and hot. I'm not really sure what kind of sauce they had with them but it felt like it was like a ranch or barbecue mixture. Chicken wings - so the chicken wings are really good. You can get whatever flavor you want because I have a couple of them but the one was ordered was hot. Honey lemon pepper. Now let me tell you, this is going to change your point of view on things! It was fire! It has the right bit of sweet and heat. Personally. I wish they would just pour some of that sauce in there from the wing so I can dip my onion rings in it LOL. I thought the service was good. The upstairs bartender there was super cool and we actually chopped it up for a little bit. The bartender on the first floor was super cool too, she actually chatted up while we were getting shots as well. Really good experience. I came in late not knowing that they close at 8pm, but because there was a NFL game on, they didn't kick us out. The atmosphere was great! The weather was perfect so we sat outside. We both ordered the Harvey burger. I'm not sure what kind of meat it was but it didn't look anything like ground beef. Maybe it was so overcooked that it no longer resembled ground beef. I definitely wouldn't order it again. When you put your name on a dish you better bring it! The fries were good and hot. Digging the Harvey! Great food, drinks, and prices. I hate that I don't live closer to Chamblee bc I really like the vibes at the Harvey. Probably a good thing I don't live close actually. lol. We have been on college game day multiple times now and on a Friday night. I love that they have an open rooftop area, nice lower patio, and spacious inside. I will say on gamedays it can get crowded though. The atmosphere is great. So far we have ate pizza, fries, nachos, and the corn dog. They all were delicious. The corn dog can be a little scary due to the price but order it, its massive! Definitely planning on going back. read more

Truest bummed and hopes dashed - both times I've been there I was treated more like an annoyance than a paying customer. First time they were fully closed and the lone staffer yelled at me through the glass "closed" and this was at 9:30. On my second visit I was told when I sat down at the bar at 8:45 that it was last call (mind you the posted closing time was 10pm) guess the crowd is speaking by not showing up and giving you business ... but that is because you aren't open when you say you are and aren't hospitable when you do throw down a cafeteria style metal plate with diner paper on it and crack open a tropicalia for $19. Oh yeah and don't forget to grab your own condiments from the server station - cause the bartender sure isn't going to give them to you - although she was kind enough to point and tell me where to serve myself. The food was very fresh served fast and quite tasty to be honest way more than I expected from a sport bar service was excellent. Staff is so friendly place is so clean neat and nice. I can definitely see myself spending there a bunch of nights this summer I loved The chicken fingers they were excellent fresh tasty tender soft juicy crispy everything together highly recommend this place. Visited on a Sunday afternoon before a play in Doraville with a group of 5 friends. Had far less than a pleasant experience. They eventually told us to sit in the area left of the bar...at a dirty table. As we sat down I noticed one of the kitchen staff staring intently at us all. We waited approximately 10 minutes before our drink order was taken. When the drinks arrived 20 minutes later two of our drinks were wrong. Meanwhile the guy in the kitchen was still staring at us. After sending the incorrect drinks back via a server who offered no apology or concern we were discussing food. The guy in the kitchen was still staring at us! After experiencing such disorganization, disappointment and being subjected to weird gaze of the man in the kitchen, we decided not to order food and left. I live in the area and wanted this place to be the go-to spot for good food and great times, watching my favorite sport teams yet it's just missing in every way. Very limited, basic, food menu when we went two weeks ago. I'd liken the menu to what you'd see at the Racetrac or QT gas stations these days. Nachos had zero flavor. The smash burger was good though. The astro turf area that day had a bunch of kids running and playing as if it were a playground. Not a welcoming or relaxing environment for adults who want to just enjoy a drink and watch a game. I questioned the very limited menu with the waiter and they did say it was going to be expanded on very soon. Unless you're a couple with young kids and want to let them run loose on the artificial turf while you guzzle some canned beer, I wouldn't recommend The Harvey. I had the daily special which in this case was fish tacos. Very little flavor and the texture and consistency of fish that came out of a freezer. The beer was all canned even though they have a bar. You have to serve yourself for water. If you have questions or want to speak with the server, you have to talk very loudly to be heard over the music. Even then, they seem to have a tough time understanding what you're saying. The aesthetic may seem appealing from a distance but once you're inside, everything seems underwhelming, which is sad given how long this place was in development. read more

The atmosphere was nice but cold. had to have heat turned on so dress warm this time of year. we had two appetizers the pretzel bites and chili bowl. the bites were good but the cheese was terrible. the chili tasted like taco meat and was cold. I was super excited to try this Sports Bar in Chamblee. When we arrived, it was seat your self. Promptly found a two top on the quieter side of the bar. Waited almost 10 minutes before anyone acknowledge we were there and brought us menus. Food was all right. We tried the wings (all drums), chips and queso (loved the seasoned chips!), and the cheese pizza. The pizza was ok. Reminded me of a chef-boy-ardee pizza from the box. I wanted to like this place because of its great location, but it was impossible- started with self serve water service and ended with a Ceasar salad with overcooked chicken in a stainless kitchen bowl with tiny croutons, bottled dressing and bottled Parmesan sprinkles. Not one inch of ambience- It's a sports bar- ok, I get it. Loud, poor, indifferent service, limited parking - definitely will not be going back. We were handed menus and told seat yourself, fine - water is self service - fine. Soda in a can? Not so fine - how do you not have a soda fountain in a sports bar? The 5 star review is because we will definitely be back and want to encourage others to come here. These are the types of places we need in our neighborhood and need to support. I do have feedback though that I think will just help them be successful Pros The food is really tasty. I consider myself a burger expert (insta: @bigjuicy_burgerreviews) and it was quite good. We sampled most of the menu, corndog, fries, onion rings, tenders, nachos and pizza were great. The vibes are good downstairs and great outdoor area with kids. Awesome that they also have an adult only upstairs The staff is awesome. So nice and friendly and I like that anyone will help you and take your order Feedback: Only negative food was the Caesar salad... just wasn't the dressing for a classic. It's pretty good, quite a few red flags though. Firstly, when handling food, food service gloves are not used and that would be fine without cross contamination but that's not the case, some workers open beers with hands that were touching tables, easy fix though, simply just have some have some order in staff cleaning the outside and inside area and just have a different server cleaning other than caving one person do it all. Staff is nice and the owners put a lot of work into the place, and the building design is stunning, awesome patio and roof. The only employees that we're unsanitary were seemingly under 18, which raises concern for maturity, the owners should consider hiring someone who can apply some real world experience, and has had a job, because this place is pretty high profile. read more

This address location has changed hands many times with different restaurants and now is The Harvey so we decided to check it out for lunch. Busy spot! Lots of seating inside, outside and there's an upstairs that overlooks Peachtree. Parking is somewhat limited (and it was the Chamblee Arts Festival weekend to boot...) but we lucked in and found one right away. Service was terrific, great selection of beers, menu was a good selection of options (think roadhouse-type for the most part). I had the tempura fish tacos which were great - loaded with nice crunchy fresh toppings; the husband had the Harvey burger and it was a good size served with fries and cooked perfectly. We also indulged in some queso and chips - chips had a nice spice to them but not too hot, so enjoyable. We opted to just have a coke and lemonade. Our food was served very quickly and all at once - would have preferred the chips and queso to nibble a bit on first. That was our mistake as we should have made that clear to our server, Karen - who was amazing and attentive. Total with tip came to $60 so reasonable by today's standards IMO. Very positive first impression! It's a small place with a correspondingly small menu, but the entrees we had were very good. I had the 2-patty burger with fries, my date had the veggie pizza, with extra toppings. Both were perfect. Everything was freshly made and exceptionally flavorful. The pizza was bright and colorful with a thin, crispy crust. The burger was cooked and dressed just right. The seasoned fries were exceptional - they were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, just like Belgian fries. I watched the place being built, wondering what it would be. It turned out to be my new fave in Chamblee. It's well worth a stop. read more

A big shout out to a super cool little spot in Chamblee. We all loved The Harvey. Excellent, friendly wait staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Everyone at our table loved their food. Nachos were crispy and covered with deliciousness. The Dirty Bird wings were dry rubbed and dang tasty. A huge portion of chicken tenders, The Harvey hamburger, a Caesar salad (big enough for three of us) and a veg pizza all made for big smiles and full (and happy) stomachs.
