I absolutely loved my dinner experience here! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting and lighting created the perfect cozy ambiance for a night out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with a few appetizer recommendations from our waiter, and they did not disappoint, the beet soup was an absolute standout. For our mains, we tried a variety of dishes, and every single one was incredible. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was remarkably delicious. We wrapped up the night with the bread pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. To top it all off, they surprised us with a special birthday treat and a card, which was such a thoughtful, sweet touch!

Went there with friends for Saturday dinner. Waited for another ~10 minutes past our reservation time; we were given free popcorn and the smoking flavor tasted great. We ordered three appetizers and five entrees. The appetizers were amazing. The chèvre pecan and smoothed goat cheese in autumn salad stood out. Yakiton and Kan Sui Noodles are Japanese fusion style, which flavors were really balanced out. The pork belly did not have as much fat as a pork belly normally does, but it was cooked to the just right crispy level. The entrees were not as impressive as the appetizers but still good. Would recommend the chicken katsu and the black ink bucatini. The flour coating on the katsu was surprisingly thin and crispy more than expected. Wagyu beef, on the other side, was a bit disappointed. We can see that the chef was trying to be creative, but the taste did not catch up with the presentation of the food. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about all the ingredients when we asked for details. The pace of food coming to the table was comfortable.

Here for the second time and got excited when I heard that they are collaborating with Filipino restaurant Estrellita! Well made wish I can eat seconds each course. They added filipino too. Worth every penny too. What a great collaboration! Im ecstatic for what yet to come at The Alden!

Had the pleasure of enjoying the $100pp Valentines Day 3 course tasting menu. Tried Mussels in tom kha broth, deconstructed wagyu beef wellington, and champagne sabayon, which were all amazing. The beef wellington especially had so many different flavors complementing one another and the each bite was a culinary experience. All plates were a delightful exploration of flavors and Chef Hucks' global career definitely shines through. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The courses, ambiance, and service all kept a balance of fine dining while being very approachable![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Alden is an interesting spot. In some sense, it comes across as a standard neighborhood restaurant. But upon observing the decor and the smelling savory flavors emanating from the kitchen, you get the sense that there is more to this venue than meets the eye.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is really great. They are attentive to requests and aware of unique details associated with the food options. If you are vegetarian: There are few vegetarian pasta options, but I would also inquire about a custom veggie dish they can make for you. We particularly enjoyed the winter salad - which was larger, more eclectic, and more shareable than expected. Also had the laarb duck, blackened salmon, and chatel steak. All were unique and enjoyable entrees. The desserts were pricy but did not disappoint. Mint chocolate cake was a cool option.

My husband and I went to The Alden last weekend with a couple of friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I thought the atmosphere was pretty low key (which is enjoyed very much) for this caliber of highend restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the orange wine and really liked how smooth and light it was. My husband ordered the penicillin cocktail and loved that it was perfectly balanced. For food, the winter salad was a nice portion and very fresh. I had the Laarb duck for my entree - and loved the optional peppers and sauces to make it spicy. We also tried the veggie plate, the steak and the salmon. For dessert, we had the Mint Chocolate Cake and the Coffee Panna Cotta. Everything was perfectly delicious! I would totally go back - exceeded expectations. Our waitress was very attentive. She even gave us a free sorbet as we were celebrating a birthday!

I walked into an almost empty restaurant and almost left. I'm so glad I didn't. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Alden filled up as the dinner hour went on. EVERYTHING was excellent![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't love when restaurants add a touch to traditional dishes but the Alden touches were all welcome. The smoked bacon on the wedge salad was a fun addition to the house made dressing. The red snapper will rank as a favorite I've had outside the Caribbean. Beautiful heat and delightfully perfectly cooked. You can tell the freshness of the fish from the tenderness. I was hesitant to commit to the prix fixe but I ended up having the mint chocolate cake as well! It was perfection! I was wondering why popcorn and my tastebuds didn't ask questions on having this. I honestly lowered my expectations being outside Atlanta but I stand corrected. This restaurant is a gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is beautiful and service was wonderful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd love to return to try the beverage menu too. Highly recommend

Pasta dish...tastes good but was a little oily for me.

Still great. Seriously. Went for the first time in like six years. Dinner plans got rescheduled so headed here for solo dinner at chef's counter. They were able to squeeze me in at 6 pm seating. The restaurant was happily, surprisingly full and lively on a Sunday evening! The food was artistic and delicious...finally eat with both eyes and stomach! Not sure how I felt about the tom yum style mussel. It was fine but not sure if I really liked it. The fish was perfectly cooked. I think the steak dish was actually my favorite! I usually do not like Shishito peppers because oily or too charred. This pepper was perfect. Eaten with the steak and swirled in the sauce...so so good. The Thai tea boba dessert was awesome...i think though this dish had some popcorn which I did not think it needed. Hahaha my favorite part was the honey and bee pollen that was drizzled beautifully on the plate. Seriously wanted to just lick the plate. Not as impressed with the mint chocolate cake. It was fine. The chef has an intent with everything on the plate. No cruddy parsley curls or other things on the plate that is not meant to be eaten. The fried cassava leaf reminded me of the fried parilla leaves sprinkled with salt that my grandmother would make! I did wish it had a couple more grains of salt on it...but that is because I was eating it like a chip! Still have the popcorn as a snack before meal. It is fine. Definitely worth it. Will not be hungry afterwards. They have a la carte menu, a pre-fixe three-course and a seven-course menu. Appropriately priced. I am mad at myself for not eating at Alden more often. Food is high quality, doesn't take itself too seriously, and isn't a rip-off. The staff is very friendly and nice but think the service could be tighter. Great neighborhood restaurant. I would highly recommend for the food! Oh and the "dirt" here actually tastes good! Not just for show.

The bar tender was so sweet. He made a custom cocktail and gave us another one on the house for bringing back some memories of him growing up in the Bahamas. I enjoyed the desserts. Especially the Thai custard and mango sorbet. It felt light and refreshing. The food was not too bad. The gnocchi did not have a lot of flavor but the scallops were cooked nicely. The main reason for the three star rating was because of the service. The wait time was pretty long between getting our main meals and appetizers.

Fantastic experience at The Alden. Glad to find another fine dining establishment I can add to my list. Service: great, besides waiting on water one time, the serving staff did an amazing job. We barely waited anytime for our courses and drinks. Food: amazing! I order the grouper dish, which was cooked to perfection. Great flavor. Loved that everything on the plate was edible. My wife order the pasta dish, which was also delicious. I'd probably would've chosen the pasta dish looking back because of the bold flavors and how much better than the dish I ordered. I highly recommend trying, 5/5 stars.

Food and service for lunch were very good. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. Chef Jared has that special touch with food and flavors that not all chefs possess. Lunch prices were reasonable, and despite what some reviewers feel about the size of a few dishes, there was more than enough food with everything we ordered. Glad to see this restaurant is doing well. They deserve the success, and the Michelin recognition!

We went to The Alden last night for the first time and wow, what a great place! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere, service and food was amazing and everything we had was delicious and a part to our taste buds.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't wait to go back again!

WOW! What a gem. Our server Lozano was super attentive and sweet. The hostess (long black hair) was incredible as well. Bonus points for the chef who came to check on us after an amazing meal. All the dishes that we had were top notch. Pineapple bread pudding was one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. Highly recommend this little gem :)

Coming into it, around early dinner time hour, it was fair to say a slow evening for a Saturday. This provided us a fair chance to be able to not feel rushed during this experience. Server and food runners were on point. Server knew the menu and what to suggest as popular meals and what his favorites were. He also informed us that food was made from scratch and the ribs were already sold out! Bummer as that would've been a go to choice! The restaurant it self seemed cleaned and a sleek look to it. We chose 2 fried chicken meals and steak and frite. These dishes were to brag about 100%, wish I could've met the head chef and supervisor on shift to let them how wonderful the food was and that the staff have great personality and professional! This chicken meals were beyond what could've fool me as a homemade chicken made by someone's grandma! The steak was cooked to perfection that could've melted in your mouth. Due to my son's birthday, the server offered a complimentary dessert for him to have! I recommend this place or their other locations 10/10!

Just wish the kitchen would consistently catch that I'm lactose intolerant and need no cheese. The center can also be a bit underdone, especially when I order egg whites -- but flavor-wise, still love it. * Ham Benedict: Solid classic. * Steak & Eggs: Disappointing the one time we tried it -- especially given the price point. * The Big Nasty: Legit comfort food, but would love if it came on a biscuit instead of a soft bun (or if there was an option to swap). * Breakfast Potatoes: Extra crispy with onions -- I personally love them, but some might find them a touch too dark Drinks: * Coffee menu is limited -- just drip, cappuccino, and double espresso, with cream as the only option. * Would love to see non-dairy milk options and better coffee quality overall -- we've skipped brunch a few times because of that. I'm so glad we listened to the other reviews and gave them a visit because our entire table of four had a lovely time. We started with drinks and I settled on a glass of wine. They had the exact type of sauvignon blanc that I wanted, which was an immediate win. As a group we settled on the whipped goat cheese and brussel sprouts for appetizers. The brussel sprouts came with bacon so I steered clear, but the others raved about them. The whipped goat cheese dip was also a nice choice with the garden veggies. Super creamy and refreshing. As for my entree I went with risotto of the week with salmon. It was absolutely delicious and I ate every bite. We had a birthday in the group so we of course had to get desserts. We shared the creme brulee and this super decadent chocolate cake. Both with fresh berries, love! The creme brulee was definitely my favorite of the two, but you can't go wrong. As for the space itself, it's beautiful. It gave off a sort of a modern farmhouse vibe with the wood and brick. With the twinkle lights and earthy touches bringing it all together. Our service was also on point. Jackson was awesome (as you can see in the other reviews) and kept the good vibes flowing all night. I would definitely come here again.

It's on toward the end of the shopping strip so it's not hard to find. You'll look at the building and there are some indoor and outdoor seats for you, and it's very neat and clean. Coming inside it's a lot bigger than what you would expect. They have a wall of wine, as they should, they have a back room where they do tastings, and not like four tables that are set up. They have like tastings and cooking lessons as well so there's tables and stoves and all sorts of things. They have a full kitchen with a kitchen menu that I hear. The fool was pretty good. I actually didn't try the food on the first time around because I just eaten and I just wanted to stop And to see what it was about because it's been on my list. When I went I sat at the bar and the bartender (Tay) took care of me. She was super cool and we had a good conversation. The bar has liquor there so it's not only wine. They have a very limited selection of liquor but there is liquor there. They have a cocktail menu, again. It's kind of limited, but they can pretty much make whatever you need. But the show the spotlight is going to be on the wine selections. Wish they had plenty of them. I was picking out a wine to try and she definitely helped and gave good advice and led me in a good direction. She was awesome. Now they have a wine club. This wine club is pretty good, so I may consider trying it. I'm already part of wine club elsewhere, but this one might be a little bit different. For the wine club you pay a price and you get about four bottles of wine, but you also get to do all of the tastings as well. You get the good a membership discount if you bring people in to dine-in as well. There's a lot that goes into it. There should be a picture of it in my review so check that out. It's really surprising because that isn't a small thing to take group trips to some random part to sample wine. But if you're a wine drinker, and you have the the money to spend, this would be cool to be around like-minded people. They really have a lot to offer! I thought it was a really good random walk-in for me, I enjoyed it. The atmosphere was good, the selections were really good, the customer service was really good, it was great on all parts.

The cashier was really nice and explained how everything worked. I ordered the Polynesian chili mango salad with mint and added grilled shrimp. I wasn't a huge fan of the shrimp, but the salad itself was so good that I still ate the whole thing. The flavors were layered and intentional. Not generic, not bland. I love when salads don't taste like an afterthought. What really impressed me was the hot sauce bar. That blew me. They had multiple hot sauces, and as someone who's basically a hot sauce connoisseur, I appreciate that because different hot sauces pair better with different foods. That detail alone elevated the experience. The space was big, clean, bright, and full of color. It felt fresh. Overall, I was genuinely impressed.
