They also turn rotors, which I believe they are the only parts store that does it anymore. The two main issues I have is the web page is a little clunky to use and their customer's perks is not as good as their competitors which is the reason I only come to o'reilly's for the hard to find stuff.

The things I don't like is the parking lot is narrow and they don't carry items in a way that allows you to buy it in the quantity you need. Like fuel hose. They only offer packs of 18" long pieces and because they are pre packaged it makes them pricey. Why not carry the rolls and sell it by the foot like it use to be done. Will you find your basic needs here? Yes but beyond that you may want to try a different store.

A quick charge through the jumper cables and I was back up and running. But then I knew, where do I go from here? Within 10 minutes one of the team members was checking the battery and confirming what I assumed, it was time to replace. Again, not more than 10 minutes later the job was done. Called me, her granddad, and of course I went down there to help. I brought some tools and a voltage meter with me. First thing, Checked battery output voltage with a voltage meter and reading was around 11.6 volts. Not a terrible reading but the engine wouldn't start. Not even crank. Made sure battery terminals were on tight, Did tighten one, but engine still not starting. Had jumper cables. Jumped started car! Nice. Checked battery voltage again, reading 13.6 volts. Checked for date on battery, hmmm- 2018. Six or seven years old depending on the month. Time for a new battery. With car running, granddaughter and I drove to Advanced Auto on 4018 Washington Road and Flowing Wells, just across the street from Gerald Jones Auto Group mall. It was our lucky day! On duty was the most friendly and knowledgeable sales associate you could ever meet, Allie,. Allie just knew exactly what to do- check battery terminals, check, look over battery for any bulging areas, yes one side is slightly different, get battery testing machine- hmmm- battery showing not good- Replace. Now most people would say "well it started with a jump, so maybe the battery just needs a good night's change to bring it back to life. Well, maybe that would work, but battery is over Six years old, car driven for school and work by a young woman, and let's face it- do you really want your granddaughter to get stuck somewhere at night? So we bought a new battery. Now sales associate Allie, really knew her stuff. Got the correct battery and did need some help from sales associate Ken, and not only installed the new battery, but also replaced the nut and bolt on the battery terminal that was stripped and could not properly tighten the battery terminal. Allie did her work in a most professional manner with a friendly smile! Advanced Auto is lucky to have Sales associates like Allie and Ken. I recommend that if you need a battery replacement or any other service required parts, and looking for great customer service then I heartily recommend going over to Advance Auto Parts on 4018 Washington Road in Martinez.

Today (13 August 2025) I brought my 2001 Acura CL Type S to Manny's Service Center on Wheeler Road…read moreto have the drivers side headlight fixed/replaced as it didn't come on the other few nights. Driving as a One Eyed Bandit is not safe nor legal. Manny explained that it could be the HID bulb, or some other problem, further explaining that parts may not be available as the vehicle is now 25 years old. ( Side note-but still good looking and still a great performance car!) Manny told me if not fixable, after market light kits may be the solution. I told Manny, do what you can. Two hours later I get a call from Manny- the lights are working! I asked what was the problem? He said "well we started the vehicle, turned on the headlights and they are on, both sides." "What" I said. "Ok, i'll be there in an hour to pick up the car." Drive down to Manny's, go in office. Manny is in there, eating lunch. But he took the time out to explain what was done. It took all of ten seconds as he said, "we didn't do anything." I asked Manny how much did I owe him for his time and efforts. He said "Nothing, we didn't do anything!" Now- this is why I am taking the time to write this review- How many times have we ever went to an auto repair shop and paid Nothing! Go anywhere else and it's a fee that is the Arm and Leg! And those shops will give you the bill with a big smile! Well-Manny's Service Center deserves Ten stars for his honesty and integrity! Have a Honda- bring it to Manny's Service Center. Have a Acura- Bring it to Manny's Service Center. Honest people in the auto repair industry is a rare find. When you find one, you want to spread the word, I am spreading the word! Highly Recommend Manny's Service Center for your vehicle's regular maintenance and for those repairs that are needed. It should be noted that this is the fourth time using Manny's Service Center, regular oil change, new alternator and for a new radiator. Each and every time, work done expertly and timely.
