So here's a shout out to the Goodyear store on Washington Road in Augusta. We all hear the horror stories...so buckle up and get ready to smile. My Step Daughter drives my truck as her regular vehicle and called me this morning saying it was making a squealing noise and thought it was the brakes. She drops it off at Goodyear and they check out the brakes and the front end and I get a call saying, "well, I'd love to sell you something but we can't find anything wrong with it!" I almost dropped the phone! They could have easily done an unnecessary brake job and I never would have known better. My hat's off to these folks...good to know there are people out there you can still trust! read more

I went to this place this morning to get a flat tire fix made an appointment the day before online upon arrival the customer service representative Tyrone Ramsey store Manager name is Terry Senesac took key and I was wait for about ten minutes before he returned back and told the tire is not repairable I need to buy a new tire. So I went coupe store down to Tire Plus to double check if it accurate the customer Service Rep at Tire plus took my key and 20 minuets later they fixed the same Tire that was not repairable at the Goodyear. The screw was not at the edge of the tire it was almost in the middle of the tire PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE THEY ARE TRY TO TAKE PEOPLE MONEY FOR SERVICE THAT MIGHT NOT BE NECESSARY. If they say to buy new tire from them double check with other tire shop first before you waste your money and waste a tire that might be good for sometime. I'll start by saying I've been going to this Goodyear pretty exclusively for oil changes for the past 4 years. This last experience removed any and all loyalty I had towards this place. I was taking my wife's car in for a routine oil change. For the past year or so I've had them call and try to get me to buy new tires. All normal really. I realize they are a business and at the first sign of wearing on tires they want me to shell out $800 for some nice Goodyear tires. As my common practice goes I tell them I don't have the money but I'll get them replaced soon. Again, all of this I have no problem to. A few months ago I purchased new tires for my wife's car and now we have a smooth ride. Fast forward to my latest (and last) oil change experience there. They call and tell me that there is a nail in one of the tires. He nail was in the side of the tire and couldn't be patched but needed to be replace. This was his exact recommendation. Luckily my gut reaction wasn't to give them an ok to give me a new tire. I told them to leave the "nail" in my tire and I'd just see if I start losing air over the next few days. Upon picking up my car I immediately drove .2 miles down the road to a local tire company (Randy Moon, where I purchased the new tires) and asked them if they could check out a tire for a nail. They happily checked out ALL FOUR TIRES, removed them all off the car and found no such nail. In fact, this all happened about two months ago and my wife's car is running fine with this so called Goodyear "nail" in its tire. I will never go to Goodyear again and I recommend you don't either. Randy Moon tire just down the road is a nice local place that really went above and beyond for me. This is why they will get all of my business from now on. read more

I had a flat tire and I was searching the local tire places for a replacement. Goodyear was the only shop that had the tires I needed in stock. I ordered the tires online and made an appointment for the next day. Upon arrival, the employee couldn't find my order and said that I didn't have an appointment. Since I didn't have an appointment, I had to wait for about four hours in their dirty, nasty waiting room for the tires to be mounted. The only positive thing I could say was that the tires were in stock and they were able to mount the tires onto my car. But their online system obviously wasn't tied into the local system, which caused confusion and the inconvenience of waiting a LONG time to get my tires mounted. read more

Don't waste your time with this location. Making an appointment means nothing. I have waited over an hour passed my previously scheduled appointment and they still haven't taken my vehicle back. They said there is still one person ahead of me. And yet, I made an appointment. Although they are so much behind, there is zero sense of urgency. Also, the individual at the counter lacks any resemblance of customer service skills. read more

Unbelievable! I made a 10:00 appointment for an oil change and tire rotation on a Saturday. I arrived at 9:50 and the guy at the desk told me the 9:00 appointment had not even made it into the service area. He could not give me any idea as to how long my wait might be. Being Saturday, my only day to get errands done I didn't have the time. Since I bought my tires here I wanted to take advantage of the free rotation but after this I'm done. Not on,y could they have cared less about my time the place is filthy. I'll be shopping for a new service center. Do not use these people!!! read more

Went in to buy 1 tire, I was told they would call me the next morning to let me know when to come in and have it changed out. No call, finally I called and was told it had been sitting there all morning, and no they couldn't put it on because they had no Tire guy in today. No tire guy at a tire store? Any way I was irritated and he said if I brought it in it could take a couple of hours to get it put on. I cancelled the order and will never go back. read more

I've been here going on 2 hours for an oil change. I did get in a little early but i also did have an appointment. They did not tell me it was going to take an excessively long amount of time, and when I asked for an idea of how much longer it would be they just said "we're working on it." On top of the wait, their customer service leaves much to be desired. I will never waste my time coming back here and recommend you don't either. read more

I tried to get a spare tire patched that had a nail in the center of the tire at Goodyear. So that I did not have to wait on a Saturday I was willing to drop off the tire at Goodyear and pick it up on Sunday or Monday. I called ahead and talked to Tyrone and told him what I had and that I could leave the tire. Tyrone told me to bring it in and they would patch it with no problem since the nail was in the middle of the tire. When I got there I brought the tire in and talked to Tyrone. Tyrone looked at the tire and said he could not patch it but would sell me a new one. I asked why and he said that the tire was over 5 years old and they could not patch it because of age. I told him this was a spare tire and although it was over 5 years old I still wanted it patched. Tyrone at Goodyear said he could not patch the tire. I took my tire to one of there competitors and they patched it. I do not know if Goodyear was so busy on a Saturday that they did not want to spend the time to patch it. read more
