Jus finished dinner here and it was great! Shared the bam bam shrimp app which was tangy & delicious. Beet & goat cheese salad was solid to start and the scallops were awesome- the truffle sauce was spectacular!! Also tried someone's clam chowder which was very thick and tasty. Gave it 5* because so beyond expectation and represents a great find for this neighborhood waterhole genre. Had some of the best blue point oysters I can remember having. Very tasty clam chowder after feeling doubtful about how thick it was. But taste triumphs looks in my book! I'd have it again. Fantastic place! Everything was great, the server Erick was very patient and attentive but honestly the food was so good that even if he wasn't great I still would've loved this place. We went for the first time last night but I'm still thinking about how delicious it was! The staff at the bar are super nice and they have a great happy hour. We moved into the dining room and shared 2 types of oysters that were out of this world fresh. We then had the seafood platter with fish, shrimp and scallops. It came with Cole slaw and especially good waffle fries. Our server was great and overall It was outstanding. We had concerns because other reviews warned about complications of family dinner with 4 and 11 year old. We got there early, had no wait, and inside table. If it is super busy then not a place for kids because of limited inside seating. It was raining so outside not an option. Service was excellent. Hostest really did a good job keeping us happy. We had fresh oysters bluepoints and Red __? they were good. The main meal was crusted grouper, seared sesame tuna, and filet. I would say these were above average. Nothing thrilling, but enjoyable. It is a popular place with locals and visitors. It's close proximity to the hotel was the main reason we went. We might go again for oysters, but probably not for dinner. read more

The Magic Oyster has become one of our favorite spots when we are in the area of Jensen Beach. Their Happy Hour is from 3 PM to 6 PM, and they have drink specials and a very nice Happy Hour menu, which we often order from. The lobster bisque is very good, and the fried clam strips are the best in the area. They are made from large, fresh clam strips, and are not frozen. The have a Happy Hour oyster special for $1 each, and we always order a dozen. Thus far, we've has Cedar Key (Florida) and James River (Virginia) oysters. They were fresh and very tasty. The first time I came in with friends, we at at the bar and were not immediate fans. Diane was rude and made us feel uncomfortable, food just seemed mediocre. I ended up coming back for dinner last night, and I'm so happy I did. The location is a little awkward because it's in a strip mall, but the food was great that we had and we also had fantastic service from Taylor. My wife and I ate there two nights during a three night Hutchinson Island stay. Went there based upon great Yelp reviews and they were right on. Great local seafood. Fried and un-fried equally tasty. Great choice of Oysters. Great clam chowder. Staff was friendly and more than willing to give their opinion (when asked) about the menu choices. And did I mention that it was very modestly priced, especially for the area. The wine choices were limited but they gladly opened our wine with just a $15 corkage fee. It's too bad we live 100 miles away..... cause we'd gladly go there very often. read more

The service was very good, our waitress was excellent. There was only outside seating available which was ok. Our waitress took our drink order and had our drinks on the table quick ,quick. We had Calamari for an appetizer, was ok, but I have had better. The entries were Crunchy Shrimp, waffle fries and coleslaw and the other was Stuffed Cod, with a special house stuffing, coleslaw and Rice pilaf. The only real negative for us was we're not big fans of waffle fries, prefer the traditional plain straight cut fries. Shrimp were prepared nicely. The Cod was very tasty with the special house stuffing and was cooked perfectly. Don't like getting seafood when they cook the life out of it. The rice pilaf was a little disappointing, dry and a little under cooked. The coleslaw was good, simple light not overly flavored. Sometimes slaw can have to much vinegar or other ingredients that over power the cabbage. We come from New England area originally and had a seafood restaurant of our own so we know how it should be done. All and all the Magic Oyster was ok, worth a visit. read more

Eat dinner tonight with friends, very disappointed. The wait staff was very disinterested. When asked if there were any chef specials were told no. Strange since we had a brief glance at some kind of chef special on the way in. There was one regular menu . We each got one regular menu. there was another menu, much smaller. It must have been valuable since there was only one left at the table. we spent a great deal of time going back and forth. It would have time in the selection process if we all had a copy of each menu. The food was a little pricey and not worth the money. the topper of this experience was the wait staff. She was very disinterested. brought the wrong appetizer. Ice tea arrived without ice. Although the food was nothing to write home about it was the wait staff that made this an uncomfortable visit. I doubt that I will ever go back. I am disappointed since this restaurant is very close to our condo. read more
