Experience (4/5) I've been to the Lynnwood location but this one is much much cooler! It has multiple levels and several rooms all decorated to feel like a rustic tavern. The Lynnwood one is more open concept which isn't as cozy but definitely more spacious if that's what you're looking for. They have a wonderful selection of games and cards, a corner dedicated to graded cards, stairs leading to a D&D room, a front counter with a food/beer menu, and my favorite part- the outdoor patio next to the front door. We quickly made our purchase and left but I'm really hoping to come back and play a board game on the patio soon! Service (5/5) The staff here are extremely kind and attentive. They are also very community centered which I love.

All of the staff at Mox were amazing, from the bartenders to the employees helping with the board games. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, especially when it came to recommending a game based on what we liked. We were recommended Karmaka, and it ended up being such a fun and strategic two-player game! On top of that, the cocktails are fairly priced at around $14-$18, which honestly isn't too bad for Bellevue. Overall, such a fun experience and definitely a spot we'd come back to!

A delightfully large gaming shop with an add-on restaurant and no customer service…read more Board games, card games, puzzles galore and as far as the eye could see my teenage self would have loved this place. I felt warm and fuzzy but the customer service others have written about I did not experience. I first felt like a ghost walking from room to room seemingly invisible to human eye as no one said anything to me. This feeling was further felt when we decided to get a drink at the bar and the hostess / waitress pointedly addressed my friend without so much as a glance, body language completely focused on him, as though I was not there. We then went to the bar where the bartender greeted us with, "IDs out!" and then left. No "hi" no "here's a menu, I will be back over". Just "IDs out!" Look, I get that the Liquor Board is out about as other restaurants have explained overly apologetic for asking for an ID from someone who couldn't pass for under 35 if I tried (and these days I suspect I couldn't even meet that young of age) but barking at me as the first employee who said anything to me only guarantees I will not be back. The only person who managed to be pleasant was a young woman with short black hair blue bangs and blue and burgundy tips. Everyone else? About as warm as the Arctic waters. I can get drinks and cards elsewhere and grateful to know my experience is singular and not the norm.

We were a bit nervous as they have MTG in their name and weren't sure if they had other TCG items but we were happy to see that they had Pokemon, Lorcana, One Piece, and other goodies! They had desk mats, card sleeves, and even art supplies for figure painting. Their space is huge with big tables and several chairs for people to hang out at. It is also well-lit too! They have a small section in the far back of the store that people can set their bulk and you are more than welcome to take what you want as they will throw it away at the end of the day. They even provide a small paper bag to put in what you take! My boyfriend and I got a Azurite Sea booster for the each of us and my pack had a legendary so that was neat! The prices for the booster were fair as well, not overpriced like some other card stores. They are not dog friendly due to one of the employees having dog allergies (totally understandable, I just like asking as we love bringing our dogs to card shops to play) but they mentioned that we can bring dogs on Wednesdays as that employee doesn't work on those days. Additionally, they have quite the in store events ranging from weekly meet ups for different TCGs, Warhammer and more. Their website is very cool too!

The prices are really good compared to other shops I have been to in the Tacoma / Seattle area. I paid only $3 for a hand painted DND miniature! They had a wide selection, and had place holders for the missing items / more popular items (aka - The Unicorn). You at least knew that they ordered it regularly and it would be back in with the next shipment. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the table/ card games they carry. They are happy to make suggestions or recommendations if you are purchasing something for a gift someone else. There is a back area for game play. On my most recent visit, there was already a group playing at 11:10am, only 10 mins after opening. It was on a Saturday though, so maybe a more popular day for kiddos. I would check before you go to makes sure there is space, in the even you want to play table games. This place feels local. If you need something, ask.
