This is the games library! You can borrow one of these and play it at one of their tables.

I love Meeples Games! It is definitely the best game store in Seattle. The owners and all of the staff members are true board game geeks! They are passionate about the industry and they have actually played a lot of games, so they are super helpful and give awesome recommendations. Meeples has an extensive game lending library. You can pretty much borrow almost any game they sell and play it in the store. They have a cafe area with tables, so you can order food and drinks while you play. They have flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, salads, coffee, tea, beer, etc. I really like their ginger cookie! I've come here several times with my husband. It is an excellent place for date night or to hang out with your friends. The place is very easy to get to and they have a free (90 minute) parking lot. There is also free street parking in this area and there is a bus stop nearby. The games at Meeples are reasonably priced and they also have a sale section. They have a great selection of games on-site, but if they don't have something in stock, they can usually order it for you. Sometimes I can find games a little bit cheaper online, but I really enjoy supporting a local, small business like Meeples instead. Meeples also has a back room with tables which is called the Thunderdome. They regularly host Pokemon, Magic, and Dungeons and Dragons events there. I'm not into any of those, but I love that they give tweens a safe place to hang out and play games.

Came to play board games. Did not know there was a food option. Had salad and burger. Both excellant. Staff was helpful and attentive. Bathroom clean.

Lots of games for sale at Meeples

Meeples is epic! If you are into games, gaming, gamers, playing games, or anything else remotely related to games, this is the place. Located on the second floor of a nondescript building off California Ave SW, it has a large selection of tabletop games, plus a lot of other types such as Stars Wars Miniatures, etc. There's lots of space to actually play games, there, too. Lots of tournaments, lessons, etc. Really a fun place. The small restaurant towards the back has a number of tables where you can play while having a meal and a drink. Yes, they have beer! Cans, and a few on tap. Coffee drinks, the works. The food menu is pretty good. Hits the spot while playing games. Behind the register at the front, there are lots of games that you can borrow (no charge) to test out before you buy, or just play for fun. And yes, you're welcome to bring in your own games to play, too. Lots of Pokemon and other card games for sale, too. Love this place!

Meeples is great! If you like table top games, and hanging out, and maybe even sometimes people, check it out.

Anywho, the wait to be called did take longer than I'd like but given it was busy and my decision on what to use for store credit took awhile, I wouldn't deduct anything. They at least have a decent amount of sealed products, but everything was above market price. The staff wasn't friendly, nor were they interactive. The place wasn't that organized. You see I live over 2 hours away and I work up there sometimes every few weeks. I usually go in and spend 200-300 bucks usually. There are 2 1/32 Scale Kitty Hawk F-5E Tiger II model kits. One had been there for awhile and had a price tag of 129. The other was alot newer and had a much newer price tag if 129. One new one old, same price. I grabbed the older one because I preferred the markings. It rang up at 179. So the nice red haired fella behind the counter asked for a hand, enter BLAKE EMPLOYEE BADASS OF THE YEAR! Well thats been there a few years we havent updated the tag to the new price. Well Blake there is a newer one with a new tag that also says 129. Well we havent updated the tags and they've been there for a few years, can't do anything about it. Well it can stay for a few more years Blake, Ill pass. This is after I had bought a 65 dollar kit earlier, and was buying another kit and a ton of weathering supplies. I paid for my other kit and weathering supplies, but BIG BADASS BLAKE EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR, made sure I will NEVER step foot into this store again. You see Blake, dishonorable actions have consequences. You decided not to honor the price displayed, and had not one slight willy of an F to give about your customer. Well Blake, what did that cost the store? How about a customer who spends several hundred dollars each visit. Who's wife was getting ready to. My a 300+ Dollar Gundam as a Christmas gift for our son. A customers son who was getting ready to buy a 500 dollar RV Tank for his mom. Another son that wanted a ride up to buy a 300 dollar RC and 300 bucks worth of kits. I sure hope you learn your lesson before you open your own business, or you wont be open very long treating customers like that. Further I hope you learn your lesson before you drive all the rest of your bosses customers away. Oh yes I have been a loyal hobbytown customer for over 30 years, From Portland to Bremeerton, and in other states. Been a long time shopper and have spent tens of thousands of dollars in Portland. Again, SUPERB job Blake. You won the drive the customer away forever award today by not honoring a price and telling a customer too bad.
