Great experience here on a Monday for lunch. It was very quiet as we came during the week. The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. Our server was fantastic. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and portion sizes were plenty. I will say I felt some of the prices were a little high, but otherwise I enjoyed my experience!

The Main Cup has gone downhill with new ownership. The food quality has decreased and the prices are way up. The cream of crab doesn't taste like crab. No chunks of crab and is more of a gelatin gravy than a cream. It was terrible.

Food was good, enjoyed the seafood chowder, BBQ wings, and Reuben with fries. It's a cozy restaurant with a little cavern feel to it, with music on Sunday nights. There's both indoor and outdoor seating for good weather days. Service is amazing from our server who checked in on us a couple times to the busboy who caught us outside and mentioned that I forgot my purse at the restaurant because he could see it through the window. He saved me an hour drive coming back to retrieve it! Thank you so much for a great night.

The atmosphere makes it a nice spot to relax, and the menu offers a decent variety with something for everyone. Prices are average for the area. While the presentation of the food was on point, the flavors didn't quite hit the mark for me this time. I also tried a cocktail that wasn't my favorite, but I'm definitely open to giving it another shot and trying something new next time.

Harmony was our server. She was so cheerful, sweet and attentive. Loved the service. The place is great. The decor is warm and inviting. Matches the old town feel. The food was awesome. The salmon on my salad was freshly cooked. The basil vinigarette went so well with the salad and with strawberries and blueberries added gave the salad just the right amount of sweetness. Had to hold the pistachios due to my diet. Hubby's bacon was cooked just right. Bacon was not super thin or thick. Delicious describes it best. I didn't get to try the avocado toast but hubby said it was very tasty and had a little kick of spicy. Bathroom was immaculate and smelled fresh as soon as you enter it. This place is amazing. Will definitely return.

Great service and exceptional food. This is a must do for crab cakes in Middletown. Everyone claims that they have the best crab cakes in Maryland, the Main Cup has the best in the valley for sure. All employees are wearing masks and tables outside we're spread apart for social distancing. Daily specials for today were the ribeye sandwich and shrimp quesadilla. Didn't get either one because, best crab cakes in the valley. Daily happy hours specials on beer and wine bottles are 50% off during happy hour as well. I miss visiting the Main Cup now that we don't live here but rest assured, this will not be the last check In here because we will visit every time we're are in town.

Spontaneous date night lead us to The Main Cup. The Atmosphere was relaxing. The service was polite and attentive. Our food came out hot and taste of the food was excellent. We overall enjoyed our experience and look forward to coming back.

Simple: Ridiculous expensive menu. $4 for a simple coffee? How about $3? $5 to add a protein to your omelette? How about $3? I'll be honest: I was annoyed by the presumptive pricing. You're not a five star breakfast place; you're a diner. Start charging like it. I wish Dempsey's the best if they can find the clientele to pay their prices. I won't be one of them. Where do I even begin?! Well, sit back, get a cuppa and relax - this is going to take some time!…read moreOctober 1st-October 5th - the weekend of my daughter's long-awaited wedding. We took over. Every room. At first, everyone was "omg - we're all a minimum of 3.5 hours away - WHY!!!" As Mother of the Bride, I had a lot of work on this wedding, and Connie was my first contact here. She made everything perfect from the onset. My husband and I visited about 3 weeks before the big day to lock down decorations with Connie in the amazing barn. She made us feel welcome & was so incredibly helpful. We left with a feeling of control, where before I was just frazzled. I knew she understood my vision for the decorations and would do everything she could to make it happen. The house itself is a magical place with rooms tucked through this door, past the games, to up one of the two staircases, to behind that door off the parlor, to down the stairs through the solarium! Tea and coffee are always available, along with lemonade and water. They offer a variety of teas and coffee pods for all flavor lovers, including decaf. From this room we open to the grand solarium. Completely surrounded by the 2nd-story deck and porch with an outdoor fireplace! Big windows allow for streaming sunlight all day - it sparkles! Tables set here are for the 100% delicious breakfasts Sally whips up in the kitchen! The deck/porch off this room lent itself to the cocktail hour for the rehearsal dinner, where everyone had the most fun petting some of the many cats that live on the property! The stairs leading down from the solarium held two more rooms. Anna's Garden room. The other is Houghtelin Hideaway Room - wow! This was our room. While not technically an "old" part of the house structure, it oozed aged refinement. A large king bed was the highlight with the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept in! I seriously need to know what it was - I peeked under the sheets and did see a foam topper, but that couldn't be the whole secret! A big 1920s oak 'set-back" dresser gave ample room to put our clothes away. smart lamps on either side of the bed lent some modern convenience with USB ports, plugs, and such. A beautiful vanity sat as a use for either a desk or a vanity with a large mirror over. There is also a bench with a large mirror over - plenty of "getting ready" mirrors. A closet with overhead light helped to hold out garments, bags, with hooks set extra high for gowns and such. The other side of the room held a huge leather sofa that you just sink into! Chairs and tables allow this area to be a nice conversation nook. The bathroom was a masterpiece in itself! A huge walk-in stone shower with both a hand-held wall-mounted spray as well as an overhead rain shower head. They also supply shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in a wall-mounted dispenser. The enormous soaking tub was well used by myself three times! The vanity was well lit with so much room for things underneath with open shelves. A door out of the room at back led to a small patio area with a table and chairs and a path that leads directly to the wedding garden. Everyone there did everything possible to make my daughter's wedding weekend a magical event, and I truly hope we didn't overwhelm them too much! Right to the moment we pulled out on Sunday morning, watching the house fade in the mirrors behinds us - we knew we would be back again and again. This place felt like home. And one last - if you are holding an even there is none better than Connie to help you! She is an amazing, helpful, joy-filled, exuberant, AWESOMEDANCER, of an event coordinator!!

We wanted a memorable place to mark the occasion and chose Showroom. I even noted both celebrations when making our reservation a week in advance. The hostess was friendly and kind, although clearer direction on where to wait would have helped. The front entrance was congested, and we felt like we were in everyone's way. Unfortunately, the service never matched the occasion. Our server never introduced themselves or acknowledged either celebration. They began taking orders without any engagement, and throughout the meal we were repeatedly unable to get their attention. I understand Sunday brunch is busy, but I work in a concierge-driven environment and was genuinely disappointed by the lack of hospitality. The food was mixed. The chicken and waffles and the omelet were good. My husband's steak was cold and the portion was very small. He ordered French fries but received unseasoned potatoes that lacked any flavor. My fish and chips were fine but also lacked seasoning, lemon, or any attention to detail. I specifically requested fries without Old Bay but received fries heavily coated in it. We also ordered a steak and eggs meal to go, which took about 30 minutes. When it was opened later, it contained only three small slices of steak. My brother-in-law genuinely thought he had been given someone's leftovers because the portion was so disappointing. My husband quietly paid the $300 bill while I still hoped someone might acknowledge the birthday or retirement with a simple mention, smile, or thank you. It never happened. We were never even offered a desert menu. We left without a goodbye or any acknowledgment from the staff. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe how we felt. We had many options in Frederick but chose Showroom because we expected a special experience. I could tell my family didn't want to complain because I had spoken so highly of the restaurant, but they were equally underwhelmed. Please do better.
