We were traveling through Lovkhaven and decided to try a place to eat. This place is right on main st,, it has a big bar and lots of tables for seating. The drinks were a little pricey, half glass manhattan was 14$ and my Troegs IPA was skunked. The food was very good tho! We were hoping to have a simple hamburger for dinner. You must be seated in the bar area to order those. The wait to sit was almost an hour. We were seated in the dining room and needed to order of the main menu. I ordered the trout. It was an amazing meal. The flavors on the plate were so good. Not what we went in for but was not disappointed. It was more money than we planned on. It didn't break the bank but it will change the budget to eat out like on the regular Service was outstanding. Great Corner Bar atmosphere with upscale food. We stopped for Early Dinner on way to our hotel in Williamsport coming from Penn State. Great food and drink! Would recommend coming here but call ahead for reservations as they book up quickly. The Sunday brunch is also a highlight. Only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is inconsistency in the food. Sometimes things are seasoned differently and it's obviously a different chef then the time before, but still good. Based on a Yelp listing with associated reviews, we visited here on a cool, rainy Monday night in late September 2024. While it is a small, cozy venue, the food and service were big-time! Our light supper included cups of crab bisque soup, cheesy mac 'n cheese, and a strawberry feta salad with berry vinaigrette. All were excellently prepared. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, providing interesting information about the community. The chef peeked out from the kitchen to view the scene and modestly acknowledged to us his leading role in preparing our meals. Lock Haven is a bit off the main road (I -80) but a visit to the Main Street Grill is worth the drive. I'm in Lock Haven for the night and am super happy that I stumbled upon this place. Found an open seat at the bar and was promptly greeted, welcomed and learnt the food and drink specials. Already had a burger on my mind so I went with the Beef street burger I believe it was called. Ordered it medium and as is and it was fantastic. Bartender Emily suggested that I try the garlic/parm fries as my side and oh boy am I glad she mentioned that because they were the best order of non traditional fries I've ever had. Thank you Emily! Wonder crab bisque and crab cakes! Great service and ambiance! Seafood macaroni could have used a bit more seafood, but good stuff!

When the restaurant we headed to was closed, we found this on Yelp. My Chicken Marsala had a great sauce with plenty of chicken & mushrooms. My husband's salmon was cooked just right. The warmed homemade chocolate chip cookie with chocolate sauce & ice cream was fabulous. read more

Came in on a cold January Sunday at 7pm without having done much advance scouting and weren't sure what to expect in a smaller town. We were warmly welcomed, served great food, and liked the relaxed atmosphere. The tuna my wife had was super and so was my seasonal salad. Mixed drinks were nicely done.... They were inventive variants that still held true to the spirit (so to speak) of the originals. While hot alcoholic drinks weren't on the menu, they were happy to make one for me to take off the chill I had from being outside all evening....nice. We'll be back. read more

Driving along 80 back home to MI, I found this place on Yelp. We are glad we made the stop! The arugula salad with strawberries and goat cheese is fantastic. The arugula and strawberries are fresh and delicious. I added shrimp which was a perfect option imho :) The dressing that comes with the salad is perfect, not overly sweet. I bought a container of it to take home. This sweet little town is about to celebrate Independence Day with a parade, people lining the streets in lawn chairs, kids smiling in anticipation, sidewalk sales... Today was my second visit and I can say that the first time wasn't a fluke! They got some kind of magic going on in that kitchen. Had the Avocado Crabcake sandwich and it was out of this world. Well I was not disappointed. My server Averie B., who was also the bartender, was very attentive. The food that I ordered was good and tasty (Scallops). While in town for work, I stopped here for dinner with my colleagues based on the Yelp reviews. They are both big beer drinkers and were happy with the beer selections, each tried three different ones. We had the sausage board for an appetizer and it contained mustard, pickled onions, sausage, cheese and bread slices. We were all happy with our selections. I was the only one who ordered dessert and chose the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla cookie. It was decent but the cookie was lukewarm at best, hence the one star taken away on this review. Our party was in for Graduation w/e & we found this place from Yelp. Don't judge a place by the storefront look! Very welcoming inside & loved the brick face walls & decor. Now the food...loved every dish! Ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, Caribbean Tuna was seared perfect! Sea scallops,,,yum! Philly Mac & Cheese so ooey good! First let me say not fancy just your neighborhood tavern but what they lack in decor they make up in deliciousness! We started with the spinach and crab dip which was pretty good but the main courses were excellent. I had the chicken and waffles and I am a bit of a chicken and waffle connoisseur I must say this was the best I have ever had hands down! Sweet corn bread waffle crispy chicken breast and the most amazing gravy ! I ate every last bite! My husband had the delmonico with sweet potatoe fries and mushroom medley and he said it was perfectly seasoned and cooked! We will absolutely be back here on our next trip across the state! Came in on a sunday afternoon, the place was dead except for a few townies working off saturday's hangover. It had a nice vibe with local art hanging in the walls but was hard to put your finger in with no crowd. Bartender seated us and apologized for the lack of music due to technical difficulties. He was very friendly and pretty witty. Started to get nervous the the food would match the boring mood but was pleasantly surprised. We got a couple club sandwiches and a wrap and it all hit the mark. Have been on the road since three weeks and this was the best meal I had - mango and pineapple chicken curry was not just lip smacking but had a unique texture and thickness of gravy. The taste of turmeric and the mild sweetness of mango and the tangy flavor of pineapple gave it a unique fusion taste. I liked that the sauce was laid over two pieces of succulent char grilled chicken, which was juicy and not dry by over cooking. It's a pity that we were in Lock Haven just for a day. Then my main course came, a mouth watering chicken and waffles. I would never dream of comparing this to any chicken and waffles I've had in Pittsburgh.(trust me I know my chicken and waffles) It's simply too unique and stands on its own perfect sweet/savory balance.
