This was the first place we ate at once we got into our room at the Fairmont hotel and it was really a perfect spot for lunch. The nachos were very good and the seafood soup was perfect for the cold weather. This place gets poppin at night too

This is the lounge at the Fairmont Château Whistler. It's beautifully decorated inside and has a great outdoor patio. Every night there is live music from 5-7 and 8-11. We truly enjoyed sipping our cocktails and listening to the music. Their Old Fashioned is so good and even comes with a surprise presentation. The food was okay. Caesar salad was lacking flavor and the cauliflower was fried so much it was burnt. We still ate everything though! Service was fantastic. Friendly and fast.

The Mallard Lounge at the Fairmont in Whistler offers a truly lovely experience, blending a sophisticated indoor ambiance with a beautiful outdoor space that invites you to unwind. As you'd anticipate from the Fairmont, the atmosphere exudes class and high quality, making it a delightful spot for an evening out. The lounge boasts a full bar and a diverse menu of food and drinks, ensuring there's something to please every palate. While there aren't any specific specials or a happy hour, the availability of tasty bar snacks is a welcome touch. On Friday nights, the addition of live music elevates the energy, creating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. I opted for their signature gin and tonic, which was undeniably pretty to look at and tasted good. However, at $25, the use of standard Fever Tree tonic felt a little underwhelming. For a signature cocktail at this price point, I had hoped for a more unique tonic, perhaps even one crafted in-house. One of the standout features of the Mallard Lounge is their exceptional friendliness and how accommodating they are with children, making it a comfortable space for families. The self-seating arrangement, however, proved to be a bit of a challenge on a Friday evening. Finding an available table required some patience, suggesting its popularity. Overall, the Mallard Lounge delivers the refined experience you expect from the Fairmont. While the signature gin and tonic could benefit from a more distinctive element, the beautiful setting, live music, and welcoming service make it a worthwhile spot to visit in Whistler. Just be prepared to potentially hunt for a seat on a busy Friday night!

Warm and cozy atmosphere, food 24/7. We were hungry during the in-between hours of lunch and dinner, and came here at the bar where they serve food and drinks we sat at the bar enjoying the live singing and great food. The buffalo wings were delicious, the oysters were fresh and the gin and tonic were made especially for the Fairmont locally. The local beet and apple Burrata salad were healthy and sweet. Great place to enjoy the afternoon and evening.

Taylor was an awesome bartender ~ great service and vibe! The burger was amazing, they have the most amazing mocktails (fav was the creamcicle) and non alcoholic wines!

Some suggestions... - Egyptian lemonade. Non-alcoholic, refreshing - espresso martini (smoked in a box brought to the table), quite the show - Off menu blueberry tea cocktail. It's a warm drink. Something like-- "The blueberry tea combines amaretto, orange liqueur, and hot orange pekoe tea, making this warm drink taste reminiscent of blueberries.".... Great in the morning after a long night.

What does it take to get 5 stars? Food, service, ambiance and drinks and this place has it all! So beautiful with lights, fire-pits, igloos and live music outside .... And get this ...FREE spiked hot chocolate bar. Yup you heard that right. Then mosey on inside, cozy up next to the fireplace, and enjoy more live music, incredible cocktails and surprisingly delicious food. Must get: the cast away old fashion (the presentation alone was worth it), duck wings and cioppino.

Went here on a Friday for their happy hour/Friday specials. Ordered their bao dish, it comes with 3 and is very filling. I'd skip on their corn dogs because it's just pogo brand haha. Was still good with the sauce they made. They have good coconut shrimp as well. I don't like duck but they offered duck wings that my brother enjoyed. Drinks are a great price. They offered wine, lime margarita and beer for reasonable prices. The food dishes during this time were $9 from 5-7. Check out my pictures so see the menu! Great atmosphere, very busy and loud but with live music! Some folks were even dancing. I'd definitely go here again.

The Mallard Lounge is a fun place to hang out after a day of skiing or hiking. A warm vibrancy immumlates there and i was surprised to see so many hip looking young people there. Great cocktails and the place was packed for Fairmont Fridays. This is the best time to get the most bang for your buck. We sampled the roasted cauliflower, coconut shrimp, pulled pork bao, and duck wings. The only thing that was disappointing was the cauliflower. Tiny portion and for 8 bucks not worth it. Also, not very flavourful. It was advertised as za'tar flavoured but there was a lack of that in the dish. Coconut shirmp were perfectly cooked and had sweetness in every bite. The yuzu aoli could have had more yuzu flavours to really pop it. Duck wings were flavourful and rich. The tender meat just fell off the bowl and the ginger/lime sauce was a nice addition. The acidity cut into the richness of the meat. However our favourite dish was the bao. Beautiful fluffy buns which encased pulled pork. So delicious. We finished off with coconut lime cake. It was good, but tasted a little commercial. Margeritas were on special and well made. We may have had a few. Great vibe. Great price (for Fridays anyway). Great food. And great drinks. Get there early though if you want a seat!

Been here a couple times for drinks and lunch. But each time was sat at edge of the bar inside which is the doggie section! Ppl with dogs can only sit inside at the edge of the lounge. This time came without dog can sit outside. Weather was good. Quite lot of ppl on a Thursday. Ordered cider and beef sandwich with salad. Drinks food are good. Good choice at upper village.

Just a fantastic little high end lounge after skiing! Was staying at the hotel and the concierge recommended the fish n chips here as the best in town. That was a challenge I was willing to accept. Glad I did. Because the fish in the chips was really really good. Great batter. Generously portioned. Fresh fish. and a great dipping sauce too! The fries were very good as well. Add a local beer, friendly service, cozy seats, and live entertainment and this place hits it all. If you're around this area, this is the apres-ski lounge you are looking for. Just don't pay attention to the prices. Like the slopes at Whistler, they're a bit steep.

This place has always felt like one of those "special occasion only" restaurants that are usually out of reach. The special menu was such a steal and so wonderful!!! Every course came out looking delightful, from the bright, delicate starters to the beautifully cooked mains to desserts that made us slow down just to savor the moment. I didn't want the food to stop flowing. Service was warm without being stuffy, the vibe was lively but still intimate, and the whole night felt like we'd accidentally unlocked a VIP experience. If you've ever walked past Araxi thinking "maybe someday," this is your sign. Go when they're running the special during spring ski season!

Araxi did not disappoint, though I'm disappointed in myself for missing their apres deal with a discounted fondue using cave aged gruyere! Definitely reserve ahead of time during peak season. They start you with fresh herbed ciabatta and sourdough with olive oil and butter, and both breads were great but especially so for our hungry kids. They had the most perfectly sharpened quality colored pencils and a coloring/activity sheet for the kids, which was much appreciated! Drinks: - The Cure: talisker 10, pineapple, mezcal float - Fig Jam: fig infused mezcal, apple cider, fig jam, spices - great to start They also had a good wine list, and they even had some local wines by the half bottle, which was a nice option, so we got a local Pinot. Food: - Oysters: island tide and kusshi, served with traditional mignonette and horseradish - Ricotta gnocchi: with wild mushrooms, cheesy lemon fonduta, crispy sage - a smaller portion but good for sharing as an appetizer - Pacific crab and matane shrimp cake: no fillers, perfectly seared, with a great local pear and avocado salsa verde - Seared scallops: perfectly seated, with local sunchokes, crispy prosciutto, grilled bok choy, xharred pepper romesco - Ora king salmon: similar to the kids' one but dressed up, with roasted beats, beet and ginger salsa, goat cheese arancini - House made bucatini: mentaiko style with spicy cod roe, humobldt squid, breadcrumbs. This had a nice kick, and the pasta texture was great - Kids' fish: seared salmon with risotto and bok choy - a generous portion of perfectly seared salmon! Dessert: - Valrhona chocolate fondant: warm gooey chocolate cake with tahitian vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate crisps Service was great and very kid friendly (including copper mule cups for their water!). We ordered a lot of food for 2 adults and 2 young kids, but everything was so great - every item was a hit. There's a reason why we keep coming back to Araxi!
