I used to go to Regis Hair Salon in Sun Valley Mall, but when my stylist moved to The Mane Gallery, I had to follow her. Chase is great! I've been getting cuts and colors with her for a year and a half, and I can honestly say that I've finally found my hairstylist. I always get a little worried before I get anything done, but she definitely knows what she's doing when it comes to coloring hair. Also a great thing about her is that she interacts with her clients. There's never a dull moment with Chase. I usually have 3 hour long appointments, so it's great that she can keep the conversation going. I've had many appointments with other hairstylists that stay quiet and just work on my hair. Those were never fun, so thank you Chase for everything you do! *Here's a tip: Chase has specials/promotions every month! In January, it was come in for a color and get a cut for free! I got highlights done and a cut for only $80. February's promotions are schedule multiple services and get 50% off (e.g. schedule a color, and get 50% off a hair cut), or bring a friend and get 50% off one service. In terms of location, I do prefer The Mane Gallery over Regis. There's a parking garage conveniently located behind the hair studio, versus having to try to find parking at the mall, especially during the holidays. read more

Love this place! There's always really good energy here. Its professional, calm, but still chatty. The staff is nice. There's a great variety of clientele as well as hair dressers. I go to Jessica Bates to get my hair done. She's amazing! She always gives me EXACTLY what I want. I'm very very picky, but she always asks a lot of questions to find out my wants and needs. I'm a makeup artist, so I understand the "discovery process" and how important it is to give your customer what they want. So I made an appointment with Christy to get my "pixie" down to size. She was the first stylist in years that I felt so confident with that I didn't even need to show her a picture. She did an awesome job. I really liked how confident she was in cutting my hair...for some reason that's hard to find when you are getting a really short cut. Kristy was able to get rid of the orange, and tone the blond to look like it was meant to be like that. He actually looked like he had normal highlights. I have seen Jennifer Herrera once so far, but I am rebooking with her. I am very pleased with her color and cut services. During my appointment she asked good questions about my preferences to give me a color, cut, and style I liked a lot. I switched to her after moving, and I get my hair dyed copper red. She did a great job of selecting a color to get rid of my roots and refresh my-previously-dyed-by-another length. I'd been getting long layers for a while, and I asked her to give me a little more layers, not all long. The cut looked great new and grew out well. I liked how she styled my hair. To top it off she has a very pleasant and friendly personality that made me comfortable when sitting in her chair. read more

This review is for Chase Nick specifically. I have not been to The Mane Gallery, but I hired Chase for my wedding a few weeks ago. She traveled to The WaterFront Hotel in Oakland to do hair and makeup for my in-laws. I was not getting ready there so I wanted to make sure I hired someone I could trust to be on time and make sure to get them all ready at the right time. Of course Chase excelled and my new family looked fantastic! It was a very wary day for everyone and a long one as well, Chase made sure everyone was taken care of and everyone loved her! Chase is a great one-woman team and I strongly recommend checking her out! I just wish I lived closer to Concord so I could have her do my hair on the regular! read more

She was super nice right from the beginning and answered all my questions about extensions for my wedding. She did a free trial and I loved it so much that I had her do my hair twice before the wedding! She helped me to have the most beautiful hair that I can look at every day in my wedding pictures! I started coming here when my long-time stylist Chase moved to this salon. As always, I love her work. She does all of my cuts and color. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and she does the hair and makeup for many of my wedding and boudoir shoots (I'm a professional photographer.) I also recently gifted her services to my niece for prom. She always gives me exactly what I'm looking for, but will tell me if something I want won't work on my hair or will cause damage, and I love that honesty. She is punctual, professional and creative. The atmosphere in the salon overall is great. Everyone is super friendly and the shop is roomy. Everything is clean and neatly organized and they have a nice selection of hair extensions available. The location in Todos Santos Plaza is great too because they're so close to all that shopping and food. I will continue to come here and I would recommend it to everyone! read more
