First girls Volleyball game of the year. I have been coming to this place for years. My daughter played here for some years as a home court in home games against other schools in Volleyball from JH to Hs. The facility is clean and has a small snack concession and a few Vending machines at the entrance. About eight basketball courts and eight volleyball courts, which is very nice for indoor facility. they have ample parking and the staff is always nice. Overall, a very clean facility where coaches can take and rent court time for their teams for practice in order to play games. read more

I love this place! I originally signed my daughter up for the month to receive volleyball privates but will soon be getting a membership for myself to play pickleball with her, as well. Staff is always friendly and will help me find available courts. Parking has been plenty as long as there are no tournaments but I come during the week and not weekends. Basketball GAMES intensify when multiple games are playing all at the same time. 6 courts. Benches to eat and rest. Snack bar available inside. Food truck outside and food vendor outside. Facility has no AC. They have floor fans which do not circulate the air flow. Bathroom is available if you drink too much due to the humidity. Pro: it's clean; it's fun; it's interesting. The games gets intense due to the heat. Water filler faucet. Con: parking ($20) *recommend parking on the street. A little walk won't harm you. Overall. Good experience. Good games. It was a good day as it was a cooler afternoon. The ventilation was circulating well. With bay windows half way open. But in the summer months this venue does tend to get stifling with stale heat. These kids work hard to get here and their determination is excellent. Can there be AC in the summer months? The courts are nice and clean. Floors are new and polished looking, entrance lobby with step and repeat backdrop, cafe along with some picnic tables inside. Bleacher and reclining back chairs along the court side of the 8 full courts. Numbered distinctly for easy location of games. Parking was $17 this visit and $15 for adults to enter facility. Good for all day. Parking can get full quickly. I noticed others crossing the streets maybe there's other parking lots located near by. read more

There isn't a senior rate for those of us on fixed incomes. $54 to watch 8 year old grandson play 2 basketball games. Something smells fishy here with the money grab. There are no receipts for admission or parking fees. Highly suspicious cash operation with little or no accounting to report income. The facility is not ventilated well and lacks air conditioning. The MAP sucks a$$!!! $20 for parking $20 to get in and if your team loses the first game on Sunday, then you just paid $20 for one game. I asked for ice for my son's water bottle and they charge for ice!! Went to water station and that wasn't working either. We'll no longer sign up for tournaments at the MAP. I came here to watch my niece play one game. I also brought my son, (her cousin) to support her. I noticed the $17 parking and thought that was ridiculously high. How do they justify charging that much when valet at fancy restaurants charge less. It's also in a very industrial area so you really have no choice unless you want to walk and be late for a game. It's also only cash which should be illegal at this point because who is the money really going to if there isn't any proof of transaction. After I parked, I walk in and notice there is a line to get in. They charge around $15 a person to get in. Cash only again. This is crazy! I spent almost $50 to get in and watch one game. The place was packed and I don't know why people haven't protested or found other places for their kids to play games. My son had a tournament here, the heat was unbearable. They have industrial fans , but they were no help at all . They need to open the doors at the parking lot all the way up so we can breathe and enjoy the games. My son and team Mates were over heating . Its basketball courts are well kept and the facility is a great place for teams to practice. On the weekends the whole facility is rented by various organizations to have tournaments. Thus the entry fees and parking fees can vary. The refs are hired by the organization and as with all AAU they're inconsistent at best. The refs are typically calling back to back games from 8am - 5pm. Score keepers are also spotty at best. The bathrooms are not tended to as they should be given the number of people in the facility at any given time. Most of the people who work there are very nice and trying their best. read more

Majority of the referees are just HORRIBLE. And unfortunately I mean mostly all of them... They're lazy, they like to give no calls all the time... EXAMPLE: - If someone drives the lane and you attempt to get a charge call, and let's say you make it there on time and you beat them to the spot, they'll still give you a no call... There needs to be AC or at the very least some sort of ventilation. I have read multiple reviews saying the owner is too cheap, well suck it up and think of others. As a parent and a coach we pride ourselves on putting the young players first over the personal desires of the adults who often attempt to unjustly enrich themselves off the backs of parents and children. Two specific referees and staff of The MAPS showed a lack of professionalism and a proven inability to remain impartial during the contest and claiming that a losing team with a losing record is a home team in a championship game score keepers and referees conspired to steal a win when it was clear that a team was out matched. When spectators shared their opinions to the referee they were met with hostility and threats of violence. Proceed at your own risk. I strongly advise against participating in any kind of event at The MAPS or AIMS as a player or coach. read more

STOLEN ITEMS! My son played here this past weekend and someone stole his Nike elite backpack along with some of his belongings in his backpack all while he was playing a game. They dumped out his things behind the gym by an emergency exit and took off. Luckily my son's phone was with his stuff so I was able to track it down. It was extremely upsetting when I spoke to the manager and he had no sense of urgency in the matter. I asked if he could check the cameras and was told that they had no cameras by the emergency exit & only had one camera but it was too far from court #4 where my son was playing so there is nothing he could do. We are extremely disappointed! My family comes here often and the lack of security and attentiveness in the matter is extremely unsettling. read more

This place is so HOT and SMELLS SO BAD. When I asked about cross ventilation I was told that the owner does not allow it. It is seriously HOTTER inside than it is outside and it smells so bad. How hard is it to open all your doors and roll ups to keep your athletes cool while playing? They don't even care. Attending more youth tournament sports. The facility is of a medium size and was extremely functioning! Seating was cool too. You could feel the energy inside! Side note- I do feel $30 ($15 parking and $15 entrance) is on the high end - but I suppose to pay for the running of the place it's needed. I feel if it could be worked out for $5 parking that would make better sense. Especially when the concession stands for refreshments are marked up 200% as well. This is my 3rd son going through AAU hoops and it has turned to garbage. We went to a Made Hoops event here last weekend. They fleece you at the door with the $45 "weekend" price per person no matter if you can watch one day or the whole weekend. So $110 for me and my daughter to park and watch two 40 minute games (2nd game was called with 7 minutes left due to a brawl) is just disrespectful. One "security" guard who's job is to stand at the door and make sure everyone took it in the shorts for $45 even when there's a huge brawl with players, coaches and parents 30 yds away from him. Oakland Soldiers players sucker punching because of a soft touch intentional foul, Soldiers 350 lb coaches putting their hands on the opposing players and throwing parents around in the chairs. 2 young "directors" walking around like deer in headlights without a clue what to do and learning on the fly that they only had 1 ref on our court (ahem...vs Oakland Soldiers) as if we were in some kind of rec league for $45 a season. And it won't change until teams stop showing up to their garbage tournaments. Our squad is no longer coming with a player they are not likely to win a game without. read more

They are always taking deposits and overbooking. We've tried to practice there all season and there is always issues.

It should be illegal to host a basketball tournament with no AC. It's dangerous to the players and even people on the sidelines we're having trouble with the heat. My child had a tournament here and it is heinous what they charge. $15 to park and $10 to get in to be in a huge room with like 10 games going. Way to loud and not even decent bleachers to sit in. This sporting event was chaotic it's a basketball tournament they have one security guard and they expect him to do everything. Why don't they provide the security guard with a decent uniform? The security guard was really nice and helpful but I believe you need one security guard for every 300 people there wasn't even close to that thousands of people and one security guard then with some stuff jumped off there was no one to help fix it. I believe that's a code violation of some sort get more security so our children and our families can be safe.
