Market 5324 had decent and healthy options but the price was a hard pill to swallow, especially because they didn't make the Thai wrap correctly. It was still good but they missed a few ingredients. The staff was a little impatient when I was looking at the menu and there was a language barrier for sure. Head to The Market. The first thing you will notice is the array of sandwiches in the counter window. In the next window you will see the salad fixings. I ordered a custom salad with grilled chicken and some other toppings with fat free raspberry vinaigrette. I stayed away from a few of the veggies that did not look fresh like the mushy tomatoes. They also could have added a little more chicken. By and large the salad was a good choice for airport food. I was with a large group of coworkers who all ordered food from The Market. Got to go again in 2018 and 2019.. could not go during covid. Her ei am prepping for another trip and looking up my options. In past I had a 5 hour layover so I would start with one salad and before leaving get another. Healthy food- healthy long day. I get to my hotel late at night but wake ready to go as I am not stuffed from too many carbs from dead sandwiches. New connections so I will get only 1 small and 1 large salad. I used to work at the airport years ago and this was one of my go to places. Now that I'm back, things have really changed. This place is NOT good anymore. Their "holiday rice", tasted terrible, the roasted potatoes we barely room temperature and hard, and the curry chicken was below average at best. Fast homestyle delicious meals, made to order salads, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and more ...fast. Lots of healthy choices: My favorite is the curry chicken with rice (it's a bit spicy). The mac and cheese is wonderful! Portions are generous; some might choose to share a meal. It's part of the food court in Terminal E at the front of the entrance to gates 1-10. At peak meal times there is usually a line and can be a little hectic, but they are designed for speedy service and do an efficient job getting you served and on your way to a table (though tables may be hard to find during certain hours). I have always found the quality consistent here unlike the "Real Food" restaurant in Terminal C. I would highly recommend this place if you want a fast healthy meal to get you on your way. This place would have got a star higher had the food been worth the price. I bought a chicken and avocado sandwich and a cup of orange juice for... $23?? This wasn't a gourmet sandwich and orange juice either. This was a panini-sized sandwich packaged in a plastic box and orange juice served in a plastic cup. Overall, the bill would have been worth the visit had the bill been $10 cheaper, as it isn't even an airport restaurant - more like an airport deli. This is the one airport eatery that I am going to give more than 3 stars. It serves fresh ingredients - a refreshing taste between flights. They serve ready-made wraps and pasta salad if you want something quick. I tried their Asian Caesar salad wrap. Every bite was filled with fresh flavors of chicken, romaine lettuce, juice mandarin oranges and crispy rice noodles. They also have a large selection of ingredients and dressing if you want to make your own salad. Their prices are comparable to the nearby fast food franchise. Definitely a great option if you are looking to keep the healthy diet. read more

I had a layover in Houston before an 8 hour flight to Hawaii. I decided to pick up a salad in attempts to be healthy prior to the vacation binge. They have a nice salad bar where you can pick you choice of 3 toppings, including ham and chicken for no additional cost. You can add additional toppings for about 90 cents each. They have a variety of salad dressings and they'll toss it for you as well. Otherwise, get it on the side! read more

A pretty good "healthy" option for grub at IAH. They have many different options for the build-your-own salads that they have. They have some pretty nice ingredients and you are charged by ingredient, but are pretty generous and will even undercharge you every now and then. They also have wraps and some traditional home-cooked comfort foods as well. Their mac & cheese is delicious. They're pretty quick as well all things considered, so if you want to grab something quick on your way to the gate, they're worth a look. read more

They have organic greens and a limited variety of toppings, including cucumbers, mushrooms, olives, and chicken. The chicken is a little fatty - if you're looking for protein I'd stick with beans or chickpeas. Or hair, which is apparently on the menu, requested or not. After traveling around the world and thru many different airports it's always a pleasure to stop by this restaurant. The food is wonderfully fresh and the customer service is excellent. The first time we came thru Nolan, the manager, made a special off the menu breakfast for my boyfriend which consisted of fresh eggs over easy with avocado. On our return trip both Jason and Nolan remembered us and once again provided superior customer service and provided us with a healthy and delicious option which was a welcome treat for these weary travelers. From now on, whenever we travel through Houston, we will always stop and eat here! The amazing friendly service from Nolan and Jason makes our experience that much better! The ingredients for the selections look right, boasting whole wheat tortillas, fresh fruit, and vegetables, but they don't offer nutritional info for the prepackaged meals. Generally health conscious folks are on restricted diets or tracking consumption and this is an obvious miss. I stopped at The Market 5324 and they make a fresh salad for you. I ordered a salad with chicken and two other toppings. I was concerned that they put the dressing on the salad and was afraid it might be soggy when I was ready to eat it. Once I was on the plane and we had reached a flying altitude I decided to eat. The salad was fresh and appetizing. I was impressed with the value for the price. I paid $11 and must say it was the best airport salad I have had in a long time. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I would love to see them in more airports. I also must say the staff was friendly and courteous. Great place. read more
