This is a above average 24/7 Laundromat spot. It was clean and I felt safe and comfortable. The machines were all great, they seem pretty new and do not take quarters because your money gets converted into a card. They do sell small detergent packs in a vending machine as well just in case you run out. Also- there is a sister site that is also 24/7 on 90th Street and 2nd Ave which is just as great. I'm mindful when having anyone wash my clothes, that being said I've never dropped off my laundry here. My clothes are important to me and I don't want to blame anyone else for a mistake of accidently splashing a bleach product on my favorite shirt so, if you have to do your own Laundry this is a good place with reasonable prices. read more

:((((uggh who doesn't hate doing laundry. Okay, I had to tough this one out since I truly had nothing to wear. I found out there is a 24 hour laundry mat and that place is called the Mat Two. Find all your spare change or that change bottle that's been sitting in the corner for months and bring it here (well first go through it and just bring the quarters). This is a coin-operated laundry. Go here any time of the day/night/whatever. I went around 10 pm on a Wednesday night and it was empty. Yipee I got to wash my clothes in peace! -the location is not great (far on the east side); -the washers/dryers were old but clean; -you really don't have to carry those coins around with you. They do have change machines. -expect overpriced dryers it'll cost almost a buck to dry each load of clothes. read more

We just moved to the area and tried two other laundromats before we came here because it was a little further. It's definitely worth the walk! I wish we would have come here first. Plenty of machines and you get a card to put your money on... no worrying about forgetting quarters! There's actually places to sit and there's AC inside. And the best part is that they have folding tables that customers can use, not just them like the other places we went to. We'll definitely be coming back! And they're open 24 hours, no "last wash" eye rolling from the owners at other places nearby. read more

Being as this was my first experience with laundry in New York City EVER, I was pleasantly surprised at how simple and cheap it was. The woman working there was helpful as it was apparent I had no idea what I was doing. I did a load of laundry, washed and dried, for $7. The washer was $5.99 for the medium sized machine which was large enough to fit even more than what I had. The next size smaller was $2.99 a load, and would probably be good for delicates the next time I'm there. The dryer is $.25 for 6 minutes and I did need to run it about 4 times. Overall the experience was worlds less painful than I imagined it would be and I will definitely be back doing my laundry much more frequently (to everyone's delight!) They are open 24 hours, so there are NO excuses!! read more

My favorite way to do laundry is drop everything in the washer and go next door to the bar then come back swap to the dryer and keep drinking next door. Makes laundry much more enjoyable. read more

We had to find a laundromat for a couple of months during renovation. I realized pretty quickly it's a lot easier to simply drop my bag off in the back. But for the DIY'ers, there are benches out front and Bailey's Pub next door. So plenty of distractions. read more

This review is solely for SELF laundry NOT drop off. There are a fair amount of machines. No need to worry about waiting around for a dryer. The cost is a bit lower than other laundry mats. I wished I lived closer to here, I would come here rather than the usual one I go to. I ended up dragged my ALREADY WASHED, WET clothes here because my regular laundry mat had no dryers available. So It was nice to come here and have a full range of dryers. The machines are really easy to use and not so old school like other laundry mats. read more

Feeling that itch to run errands in the middle of the night when you should be sleeping? No problem. The Matt II is open 24-7! The facilities are clean and well maintained. Flat screen TVs with perfect volume so that they can be heard above the din of the machines and yet not blasting your ear drums while you wait. There are a number of machines so that you won't have to wait long even on a crowded Saturday. The dryers are very efficient and they get the job done without having to constantly add minutes. Putting money on a card can be somewhat of a draw back, especially if you are the type that loses things. But not getting kicked out at 9pm with a load of wet laundry makes it all worth it. read more

It was great. Quick.Fast. The laundry looks great. I did a week's worth of laundry for 6 bucks ( I did cheat and wash everything together in cold water). The dryer is .25 for 8 min the clothes dried fast in less than 30. I will definitively go back again. I wish I could find a place closer to my own neighborhood ( I live in the high east 40s near 1st ave). BTW does anyone know of any places closer to me? read more

Gina was the best. Sent the laundry out. Easily six loads of laundry including sheets and towels was washed, folded beautifully, and delivered all for under $50. Why would you even wasted time trying to do it yourself when it would have cost almost as much. read more

So I have a laundry room for my complex but it doesn't stay open past ten. I had to do laundry late night due to my work schedule and this laundry mat is open 24 hrs!!! Also, when I went in the woman who worked there was SOOOO NICE and SOOOO helpful! Also, NO quarters you get a free laundry card, only thing is the machine doesn't give change. It being late I accidently forgot to take one of my laundry loads out of the dryer (I was doing lots of laundry) and when I called them they saved it for me until the next day when I got off of work! Its about 5 blocks from my apartment but I will definitly come here when I have to do late night laundry! Have been coming here for 3 years, they got new staff recently and she's been there for a couple months now. I came and she was in the back for 15 minutes without a sign up and when I went to get my balance she had no clue. This is really on the owner the only explanation since this feels like a first day lesson is he's converted it into a charity. They also sometimes don't deliver our stuff as requested and we have to go ourselves. Mekong right across the street is a lot more reliable the only downside is they aren't 24 hrs read more

Great laundromat for doing laundry after hours. You put money on a card so no quarters to deal with. Maybe a little more expensive than other places in the area but when you need to do laundry after 6pm it's your only option. I much prefer this location to The Matt 3 also open 14 hours just located a little higher uptown on 2nd ave. The girl who works over night is so sweet and helps you with whatever you need. They're usually not overly crowded, and the machines are almost always working. The only downside is that sometimes they're a bit difficult if you want to break a $20 into smaller bills, including $1s. Not a huge deal, just be aware. read more

I use the drop-off service. It's cash-only, though there's an ATM--with a $2.95 fee--on the premises. It's a very no frills drop-off service compared to others I've used in the city, when I lived in different neighborhoods. One of my t-shirts has gone missing since I've started using it, and clothes come back clean but not exactly fresh or immaculately folded. No major problems, but you may notice a quality dip if you had a really good place elsewhere. That said, this looks like a really pleasant place to do your own laundry: Very spacious, with outdoor seating and a bar next door. Plus, it's open round the clock. Definitely beats the dingy place I used to do my own wash on the LES. Not so good: I just tried the dry cleaning with four sports coats and probably wouldn't do it again. When I arrived to pick them up, each sports coat was just hanging alone outside of the back area, where anyone could have jostled them or knocked them to the floor. (The employee took them back and sealed them in plastic after I showed up and asked for them -- ha.) And these, like the laundry, weren't exactly crisp, which I have a harder time swallowing having paid a pretty hefty price for the dry cleaning service: There were some wrinkles in the sports coats, there were a couple of small stains that were apparently missed and one of them was even kind of linty on the outside, so I'll have to do a little touch-up before I wear them again, which shouldn't be the case with a dry cleaning service. There are many other places to do dry cleaning in the area and I'll try one of them next time. read more

Two stars; an extra star only for being open 24/7. Stopped using their services regularly a few years prior after my laundry was misplaced multiple times with their drop off service. This past Sunday I needed a jacket cleaned and figured that was years ago. Right? Just grabbed my jacket at a $20 fee for dry cleaning. It is still visibly dirty and looks like it was barely cleaned. There were a few items with the jacket that, surprise surprise, were misplaced. The lady at the front found them separately but the several minutes of confusion were like bad joke. I'm not even certain if it's the same ownership as when I stopped utilizing them. But the fact that I just got home with a dirty jacket is inexcusable. read more

DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT use the wash and fold service. They are terrible. The pick up was easy and fast but I was lied to by the girl working their. I was told my clothes would be delivered between 11:00am-12:30pm the next day. I waited until 2:00 pm to call and find out where my clothes are and she tells me "No the clothes aren't delivered until after 5:00pm" Can you imagine how furious I was? Also the fact that it was the same girl I spoke with the day before and she confirmed 11:00-12:30pm with me. Of course I went off on her and demanded my clothes be delivered now from what she told me. But of course she had "no delivery people available" I was beyond furious because not only does my husband need clothes at this moment, she lied to me just to get me to use her service. Bottom line. They're terrible. And unorganized. I recommend Wash 84 between 82nd and 83rd. read more

Clean. Runs on a card rather than change (and has since at least 2007 so I don't know what that other chick was reviewing), courteous staff, quality job when they do your laundry, nice facilities when you do your laundry. Very busy on Sundays. Bar next door if you want to grab a brew while your laundry spins, 7/11 for snacks and goodies. There are TV's inside to keep you entertained, but also front, rear and indoor seating. Reasonable prices, good selection of machine sizes. read more

This used to be an awesome place to get laundry done cheaply and well, but no more. This week they changed ownership for some reason (lease expired possibly) and some other people were in charge of laundry drop off/pick up and they were clueless. I specifically told them to use 2 machines (and I pre-separated for them my lights and darks) I gave them detergent to use already pre-portioned out for 2 machines and gave them dryer sheets. I got back sloppily folded clothes, my detergent of which 90% remained unused and all of my dryer sheets. They call this laundry well done and charged me $24 for it, I call it laundry gone wrong, laundry is not rocket science, I will not be coming back! read more

The dryers didn't work properly and it actually took my money and didn't add the minutes. So I spoke to someone that worked there about it, and she argued with me over 75 cents. Blaming me for the mishap. I told her to keep her 75 cents. She continued to argue with me as though I was at fault. I mean really?!?!?! read more

I brought my sheets and blankets in to be washed & ironed for a total of $45. I was very specific confirming they would be ironed, as that was the main reason of having them done. When I got them back everything wAs more wrinkled than before and the matress pad was still wet. I called and spoke w the manager. she said she didnt tell me that bc she wasnt there when i dropped off & they dont iron.After some back and forth, she said she would iron (all of a sudden, they iron!) everything for $5 an iterm. I brough 10 items in and was under the impression the total was $45. After telling the woman they should honor what I was told, she remarked "ur not going to tell me what to do." so its sunday night, and my sheets are wet, wrinkled and the manager was incredibly rude. People, do urself a favor and go else where. I read other reviews where they took pples $ saying they would do something and same thing. Theres plenty of better options.
