She's professional, very knowledgeable, skilled, personable, & an awesome motivator. I'd absolutely recommend her to anyone to guide in reaching all of your personal fitness goals. Now as for a couple of the other employees there at the Fairless hills location I can't say the same. When I first came into the gym to enroll, I met with Tim and sat me down and walked me through the different options that I had. Everything was cool, I chose the 3 month program because I felt that was an appropriate amount of time for me to learn the fundamentals in working out. He even trained me once and that was even great. About a month in I learned that they were getting a bunch of new equipment as well as new recovery equipment. Red light therapy, tanning bed, and massage chair. I was super excited about the red light therapy. I later found out that it was going to be an extra $30 a month to utilize these treatments. I was approached by Lee (the manager) about this along with the "deal" they were offering and I respectfully declined because for 1, I'm a brown skin African American woman. I don't need to tan, 2. I don't like massage chairs, and 3. It didn't make sense to pay that for just the red light therapy when I could just purchase my own from Amazon. Just about every time I come to this location I come with my girlfriend so we can workout together. The following time we came, Tim approached us AGAIN. Sat us down, showed us the equipment trying to convince us to sign up for the red light therapy package and once again we declined. A few more visits later Lee would give us playful dirty looks which kind of annoyed me because it's borderline harassment at this point and almost uncomfortable to even make eye contact with him. All because we said we don't want the therapy. Fast forward to a week ago I went to Lee and told him I wanted to know when my last session was with Ashley and I wanted to terminate the sessions following the completion of the 3 months. In short, he told me I had to wait until it ended and come back to him to terminate the charges. I said ok and left. Yesterday, once I finished my session with Ashley, I went to the front desk to Tim and told him the same thing. I was approached the end of my training and to make sure i wasn't going to be charged anymore. He starts going back and forth with me trying to convince me to keep it, then to "ween myself off". Asking me why don't I want to continue. I said to him flat out because I don't want to pay for it anymore. I don't need it. I'm a single mother and I need my money. He responds "I'm a single dad too". Not quite sure why he felt the need to state that in that moment...But, he then told me my options of termination. I told him I wanted to speak with Lee and pointed to him standing at the other end of the counter. Tim then stated when he's available he'll speak with you. I said ok But he's literally standing right he appears available to me. Tim told me to just wait for him in the waiting area. So I went and sat down. Not even a minute later Lee walks over to Tim and they start chit chatting and I see Lee looking at me out the corner of his eye. After 5 min go past I start getting annoyed. Almost 10 min go by and I'm standing there watching them chat. Before Lee Would even acknowledge me he continues his chat and Another member saw me, standing there and asked if I needed help. I said I'm just waiting for Lee to get done with his conversation so he can assist me. So the member goes to Tim and tells him I'm waiting and Tim proceeds to do a fan motion with his hands and I said "Yea we know" and carried on with his conversation. I immediately walked over to Lee and stated how I don't appreciate how I'm being handled because had I told them I wanted to sign up for the therapy package they would have began the process without hesitation but because I said I wanted to cancel my training they are stalling me out and treating me like I am of zero importance. After that I told him since he wants to treat a paying customer in this manner I will cancel my entire membership. And I left. I developed a love for working out and this gym; including my 2 boys who come along with me and go to the kids club. They also enjoy coming here. I think it's unfair to me that I should be inconvenienced to have to go find another gym to attend, and feel uncomfortable to continue go to this location because of Tim and Lee. They both need to be retrained on their customer service skills and understand when a customer respectfully declines an offer, know when to back off and not harass them or give off uncomfortable energy because you don't purchase what they're pitching.

I cancelled my gym membership by certified mail and they keep taking out money. Called said nothing…read morethey can do. They said it was a 12 month contract. Website says easy cancellation. HAHA This is the worst membership mybe even criminally wrong . Do not join you will have hell tying to cancel. BEWARE

Recently they opened a new location closer to my job! I LOVE the new studio not only because it's more convenient for me but it's a beautiful, clean space. All of the employees are very nice & always say "hi" when you walk in. Little interactions like that go a long way. If you're looking for a new way to workout or simply wanna add something new to your routine, I highly recommend it.

We parked in a nearby shopping center's lot across the street from Sesame Place, at a medical office. Despite being on a different property, we were approached by the Hotworx owner in a very aggressive manner. She yelled at us and threatened to call the police, even though we were not parked on her property. While I understand the importance of managing parking, the owners approach was unwarranted and created a very uncomfortable situation for my family. This was especially upsetting with my children present. I believe that a wellness-focused business should reflect those values in all interactions. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite, and it left a negative impression. Because of this, I will never go to Hotworx for this reason. The "owner" is incredibly defensive, aggressive , and unprofessional. Also, to see such an aggressive response from a business that promotes wellness. It raises the question of what kind of wellness is truly being offered if respect and kindness is absent.
