Newer venue that opened up for events. The event space is on the second floor. Nice large room that definitely could be elevated with linens and flowers, etc. I attended a private event, short 2-3 hours late afternoon. The venue uses a specific caterer. We were served appetizers (passed and stationary) with a bar. The appetizers were good, nothing amazing, but I am sure they have a man options if you are looking to use the venue for a sit down dinner, longer event. Downside is the parking. There is a lot behind the venue but next door is Steel Craft, also with it's parking lot. Definitely a lot of competition for parking spots. Steel Craft wasn't even crowded yet (4pm weekday) and I barely found a spot (and on the Steel Craft side). There is probably parking in the surrounding neighborhood. read more

Attended a quincenera here aka 15th birthday party. Everything was really nicely set up. We especially enjoyed having access to the balconies because when you're dancing it can get hot and the fresh air was a must have and a nice spot to catch a break from the loud music and take in the view. Bathrooms were a bit messy and missing things like seat protectors and soap. I would recommend having someone check the bathrooms periodically and replace items. Overall I would recommend this spot to someone looking for a party venue. It also helped that there is a parking garage directly across the street that doesn't charge. read more

We just recently celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday last July 21st at the Mayne Event Center. The place is absolutely beautiful. The food was great!! Their manager, Monica, was super nice and very organized and detailed. She will help you with everything. She always smiles, always willing to answer all your questions, and is always willing to help you with everything. Her staff are all amazingly helpful, friendly and very very nice. If you guys are looking for a place for wedding, birthdays, parties or anything else, I super higly recommend this place. I will guarantee you that you will not regret it. I do not want to tell you how good this place is because I don't want it to be overbooked for my events...BUT if you are looking an awesome modern event space for up to 300 people, this is the place. We just held a very small event there and the staff treated us very well and the service was gracious and professional. Later in the year, we have it booked for a larger gathering that will include the use of the LA County Fire Museum. The food was timely and adequate, but the "HOT MESS" dessert was outstanding. Lastly, a shout out to the professionalism and flexibility of Monica! As mentioned in another review, she is awesome!!! read more

The Mayne Events Center - Venues & Event Spaces Near Me - Bellflower, California

While the facility is found with ease, parking was another issue. When asking for information on how to find and enter a parking lot, no assistance was found and no signage was seen. Bottom line is that the street on the south end of the block will lead to ample parking. As to the meeting facility, it was okay at best. We were attending a reunion. There was a bar with limited options. One gentleman asked for a scotch. No going. No scotch. He did order two glasses of wine. Total bill $16. He pays with a $20. Opps, no change. The bartender had to turn the menu around to learn what to charge. The bartender kept the cash on top of a table behind her...not in a till, just laying on a table with bills dropping om the floor. Really unprofessional. Our experience was close to the one noted above, but we had the correct payment. The rest of the experience was okay. But then how can you mess-up a buffet. Overall, this event center is very suspect. Hopefully, no future events we attend will not be held at this location. read more

My friend and I toured it and we had an ok experience there. My friend didn't know what the parking situation was like and when she asked the event coordinator she didn't give specific directions. We ended up parking further away, which is fine except we then realized there were two gigantic lots by the center. Ok well, that's our bad I guess. The space itself is ok, I couldn't quite picture my wedding being there, and my friend her birthday. The most enticing to both of us was the garden area. She went over pricing with us and phew, it is pricy. I understand it's due to catering but this is why I'm leaning towards a more DIY space. She was really nice but at the end of the tour she was asking us about "the looting" and while we understand her sentiment, we felt it inappropriate for her to ask these things when we had just met her to tour. Would still recommend to other people if they're into the ballroom set up. As for me, I'm going to continue looking. read more

Don't need food? Don't come here. TGIS catering company manages the Mayne and you cannot get an event scheduled without catering with them. It's not TGIS that bothers me, but I need an event space specifically without food. I've toured the Mayne and it would be a perfect venue for my textile showcase, but I absolutely can not have food where it can be spilled on priceless textiles and needle art. It took the TGIS representative quite a while to understand that I didn't want food. Then she quoted me a price of $5000 apparently based on a catering cost per number of attendees although food was not to be served. This is a beautiful venue, but I wonder just how much it will be used and if it is beneficial to the City of Bellflower under its present management's restrictions. read more

I recently had an event where the invitation said at The Mayne in Bellflower! I am a local and have never heard of this place, so I googled it and could not find anything. I finally found out that it was event center and not a restaurant. When I walked in the place was gorgeous and right next to the LA County Fire Museum that is just as new as this place! The food is also the same catering company (TGIS) as the Sycamore Center in Lakewood which I am very familiar with since I live in Lakewood and attend events there on a regular basis! They were serving Mexican food and for $75 a plate I wasn't too crazy about, but I have had other meals with this company which were good so I will give them a pass! I still would prefer to have my event in Lakewood, but if the Sycamore Center isn't available, this place is a good back up! ;) read more

This is truly a great venue. Beautifully kept with exceptional food. Just had a birthday celebration there and received high compliments regarding all aspects of the event. Add on the fact that it is attached to the Los Angeles County Fire Museum makes this venue unique. Keep in mind the museum is a separate entity but you can also schedule with them and have both be a part of your event. The icing on the cake is Monica who runs the Mayne Events Center. She is amazing through every step of the process. Would recommend this venue to anyone but plan far ahead because word is out. read more

We deejayed a wedding here on 12/15/19. Violetta and her staff were very helpful! The venue is nice and clean with a lot of space on the walls for lighting and monograms. The space is a blank beautiful canvas waiting for you to add some lighting, there so much you can do in terms of lighting with this venue. Downstairs has a bunch of really cool firetrucks. Plenty of free parking in the back. Looking forward to deejaying here again! read more

Had an event here for 225 people and they were wonderful. Our event was very complicated with a lot of moving parts. Violetta was great to work with. She gave us a lot of really good suggestions, took care of all the details, and delivered everything as promised. The food which was catered by TGIS was delicious - we had the striped salad, a duo plate of short ribs and chicken, and martini glass desserts. Augustine, the Event Captain, took very good care of us even with all of our special requests. The fire museum was a fun area for cocktails. Would definitely come back. read more
