I took my boyfriend for Monday night Prime Rib Dinner. The atmosphere was nice a view of the golf course was lovely. Our bartender and server was extremely attentive and friendly. We ordered the Calamari appetizer and it was delicious then our Prime Rib dinner arrived and was cooked perfectly for each of us. You can't beat the price of their delicious margaritas. I loved it that the chef came out and greeted his customers. All in all, we will go back again as we really enjoyed the experience of eating there. read more

Went for brunch, I had,reservation for a window seat but seated in the middle of the room because they were filming a commercial which we were not told about when I made the reservation, we were not able to get to the dinning room, the service was not very good , the food was not very good, it seems they were to busy filming. read more

I had a fabulous petit steak with the most delicious fresh hot fries and julienned veggies, it was cooked to perfection served hot and very attentive service. I will be back again and already made reservations for 4th of July dinner, gorgeous views a real treat to experience, we are lucky to have it, run don't walk for your next outting. read more

The Maze Stone is a very nice restaurant, food was good and the view is very scenic. My only complant, and the same complaint from the other ladies at the table was the FLIES.....YUK. You spent your time waving your hands to try and discourage the flies but that did not work. It was called to the attention of the waiter, who did not seem to be all that concerned. You woud think that a restaurant like the Maze Stone would be embarrased by the flies inside of the restaurant. I would hesitate to recommend the restaurant because who wants to dine with FLIES! read more

I suggested eating at the Maze Stone to friends, and after checking out the menu and agreeing the items sounded wonderful, last night we finally ate there. Mr. Cardiff-By-The Sea is a snob! Hemet/San Jacinto is a beautiful valley and it's surrounded by mountains! The community needs some improvement but the potential is there! The Maze Stone is a nice restaurant in a gorgeous setting right on the golf course! San Jacinto/Hemet is still in the foothills of Southern California with close access to Temecula, Palm Springs or staying in town. Seventeen of us joined for lunch at the Maze Stone recently. Many of us ordered the 1/2 lb hamburger, cheeseburger or Patti melt. All ordered the meat prepared medium and all arrived well done, cold and dried out. Others ordered fish and chips, taco salads (touted to contain shredded lettuce which arrived with chunks of lettuce instead do ordered without cheese which was ignored). Presentation was very nice, especially the fish tacos. We had one waiter and a young man who assured us of filled beverage glasses and to go containers and empty plates whisked away. They do add a 20% gratuity which is annoying when neither service or food warrant that high amount. We will not be returning. read more

Finally, they have extended their hours! I used to have to be there by 7 for dinner. They are now open until 9. Hands down the classiest, most beautiful place to eat in San Jacinto/Hemet. I don't know how they have such reasonably priced food. Portions are large--I usually take food home. Decor is priceless. Last week we sat in front of the roaring fireplace stuffed, as usual, and I couldn't even squeeze in and after-dinner coffee, but we continued to just sit and enjoy the fire and the peaceful ambiance. And then, there is Sunday's buffet! Holy Cow! Prime rib, champagne, omlettes, waffles, an aray of breakfast foods and dinner foods. And the desert bar! Price is beyond reasonable and eating while looking over the golf course or watching whatever game is on on a big screen....my kind of Sunday. read more

We have eaten at the Maze Stone several times before, usually for breakfast, and have always enjoyed it here. We love the atmosphere, food and service. Today I ate here with my wife and adult son for Thanksgiving brunch which was buffet style. It was quite an extensive buffet and even had items such as smoked salmon (lox), bagels and cream cheese and delicious shrimp which I was happy to see you didn't have to peel. Champagne was also included in the price. The price was very reasonable for what you receive here on Thanksgiving. This was actually or favorite place to eat so far on Thanksgiving. A gratuity was added on to the price of the meal. Our server, Shannon, who is also the manager here, did a terrific job. I would highly recommend it here and reservations are needed for Thanksgiving. read more

So we enjoyed the "Monday" prime rib. It was the first Monday, that the prime rib was back. It was good, but everyone's meat was full of fat. So if you take the fat out of this meat, and enjoy the rest.....which we did. Then no problem. There were 4 couples and each of us ordered the "King" cut prime rib plate. The staff was really great and brought out 4 extra plates for each of the wives. The bread pudding was so good...!! Looking forward to going back for another Monday Night Prime Rib. Hopefully, this time without the fat. Really miss the Anchor's prime rib, no one can touch the favors of that meal. read more

We went here for Sunday brunch. The food was basic brunch buffet and not worth price. The service was awful. For a place that was not packed, this had to be the worst service for any brunch. Not only did we complain to the manager, other near by tables did as well to get water or champagne or dishes cleared. The server even told us that he forgot about the section we were in. Went to Mother's Day Buffett Sunday. Not happy about poor food selection. No shrimp, no crab legs, no bisquits or gravy to be found anywhere! Basically spent $35.00 per family member for hashbrowns, eggs and sasuage! The pastries were sooo stale. Next impressed at all. Next breakfast outing IHOP for sure. The atmosphere is wonderful here, but unfortunatly the food could be much better. We have been there many times, and it is always just ok. We went for Sunday Brunch and found the food very underseasoned, and just ok. I would think that with the location and atmosphere here they could get a wonderful chef in, that strives for perfection. It isn't just the brunch, but the actual daily menu as well. This place has the potential to be the best restaurant around, so I really hope they can get a chef consultant in to guide the staff. read more

A hidden gem. This is a great place to go for pretty amazing food in town. The menu changes periodically and they use the highest quality ingredients. They have a few microbrews on tap and some interesting wines, too. The portions are large and immensely tasty, but not overly expensive. If it's warm you can eat on the patio (they have fans, heat lamps, and an outdoor fireplace if the weather demands it) or inside the lush restaurant or bar area (there's a fireplace there, too). I was very disapointed in this restaurant as this used to be our favorite place for dinner. Beautiful building but the prices are too high, quality of food poor and service fair at best. I will try to contact the tribe and suggest they fire the manager and cook(he/she is not a chef) and send the wait staff to Polly's Restaurant for training. The place was virtually empty on a Sat. night, when it used to be full, so I guess I'm not the only one disappointed. read more

This place used to be spectacular! Now they get rid of Shawn the head chef and its went way downhill. Smaller portions, not homemade chips, different salad dressings. Manny is the best server, but he cant make up for the bad food. They want Country Club prices forf Dennys food. read more

My wife and I decided to try the Maze Stone for dinner on a Thursday night. The setting is wonderful with nice decor and great views of the golf course. My first impression was one of concern when I realized we were the only couple in the restaurant at 6 pm. The service was okay, even though I had to go searching for the server to replace my salad dressing that had the consistency of water. The bread was very good. My wife's Wedge salad was very good. I was disappointed with the ribs, although they provided a large slab. The mashed potatoes were bland and the broccoli tasted as though it was cooked the week prior. Next time we'll go for drinks only in the bar. read more

Wow. I love the maze stone. ....except today. They lost our reservation. They seated us at a table forvten(there were 3 of us). Took 25 minutes to get someone to take our drink order. We wanted to sit in the bar but got told repeatedly we couldn't. (One nice employee offered to set up a table for us since there only 3 of us) female manager? Bit his head off and told him to go away. When she seated us at the table for 10 we asked if we could move to the table of five that was next to it. She says yes. Make manager comes out and tells us to move back to the other table. Male manager. Waitress finally comes. I ask if I can have my champagne in a wine glass with orange and pomegranate. She says yes. Brings it back in champagne glass. Ask if she can switch it. She says no. Kids go to get food and it is so crowded they come back empty handed. So far epic fail. . I LOVE maze stone!!! We were going to make Father's Day reservations today but probably not . I hope things change back to the way they were. Friday night I talked several people into coming to this brunch. the restaurant now has entertainment on sundays during the brunch from 11:00 - 2:00. it is a group of singers and they sound wonderful. it really adds to the atmosphere and the really great food. read more
