    Al pastor tacos

Sayulitas is a great new spot that opened up in the area. It's a nice, clean, and open location with easy access to the Vallartas market. Since it's a new spot, you can tell that they're working out the kinks. We had a larger group come in and we all ordered separately and were given numbers. Some of the orders came out pretty quick and the food was good, but three of the orders somehow got lost or backlogged. We were able to finish our meals by the time the late orders finally arrived. Again, since it's a new place, I know that they're figuring out what works best, and the quality of the food was pretty good. I ordered some amazing fish tacos that had a nice refreshing crunch to them, which I forgot to picture. I also ordered some Al pastor tacos to go, and they were still tender and flavorful when reheated. Another nice perk if you can buy food from the store and eat it at the bar, which one of our friends did. Overall, I think this will be a great spot to stop by again after the opening rush dies down.

Sayulita's Tap Room is off to a promising start, though they're still working out some kinks in service and food timing. Expect a wait--there was a long line to order--but the food was solid, and the margaritas packed a punch. A unique perk is the ability to purchase food from their grocery store and enjoy it in the restaurant, which might be a faster option. Overall, a good experience, but patience is key!

Horrible tacos I got carne asada looked more like a chuck roast boiled for shredded beef tacos. Talked to chef he said it was normal.

I suggested Lemongrass. The place looked great and had a better than average ambiance. The service was good and the food was amazing. I wanted to clean my plate but chose to take home some of it for my wife to try. She agreed with me that the sweet and sour salmon was very good and said that we could go there sometime. The price was excellent, since my friend picked up the check :-) . Seriously, it was reasonably priced. My only complaint was that the rice was a bit dry, but I added some chili oil and it was fine.

Walking into the Lemongrass was an experience on its own because you walk in from a parking lot…read morethat's not very appealing. But the restaurant was very nice and clean. The waitress who greeted us explained to us how the two sides of their restaurant works as this was our first time visiting. We opted to eat at the Lemongrass side. We were seated by Jennifer who explained how things worked. Then were had another waitress who took our drink order. I can't remember her name because it was an unusual one, but a nice one. She did help us order an appetizer, we got the pork egg rolls and they were good. Then we had a third waitress take our dinner order, maybe she was the owner. I ordered the CHILI BASIL FILET (S) $26 Filet mignon / Sunny side up egg / Green and red bell pepper / Mushroom / Thai basil / Thai chili / White onion / Sweet soy sauce / Jasmine rice I was excited to try this dish mostly because of the egg on top. But I was disappointed because the egg was not 'over easy' as it was over cooked with brown crispy edges., but the filet was cooked good and it definitely had a bit to it. But because it was my first time eating here, I wanted to ask the waitress how the egg was supposed to be cooked. When I finally caught her attention to ask her how the ape should have been cooked. She seemed a bit preoccupied with another table because she kept looking over my shoulder. But when I asked her, she said 'yes, it was supposed to be cooked over easy ' I said well it wasn't and all she could say was 'oh I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry about that'. She could have said something to the effect ' it was supposed to be cooked over easy, I'm sorry that it wasn't, let me tell the cook and maybe we can get you a new cooked egg that's actually over easy' but instead, there was no offer to fix the problem just an apology saying I'm sorry about that. My feeling is if you go to a nice restaurant and you pay for a dish that is as expensive as that was then, it should be cooked according to the description on the menu no apologies needed. Not sure we'll be going back. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of my disappointing meal.
